I'm Jonathan Goldstein, and on the new season of Heavyweight, and so I pointed the gun at him and
spk_0
said this isn't a joke. A man who robbed a bank when he was 14 years old, and a centenarian
spk_0
rediscoveres a love lost 80 years ago.

How can a 101-year-old woman fall in love again?

Introducing IVF Disrupted, the Kind Body Story, a podcast about a company that promised to
spk_0
revolutionize fertility care. It grew like a tech startup. While Kind Body did help women start
spk_0
families, it also left behind a stream of disillusioned and angry patients.
spk_0
You think you're finally like in the right hands? You're just not.

In the 1980s, modeling wasn't just a dream. It was a battlefield.
spk_0
It's a freaking war zone. These people are animals.
spk_0
The Model Wars Podcast peels back the glossy cover and reveals a high-stakes game

Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the On Purpose Podcast. I had the incredible opportunity to sit
spk_0
down with the one, the only Cardi B. My marriage, I felt the love dying. I was crying every day.
spk_0
I felt in the deepest depression that I had ever had. This **** was not given to me.
spk_0
I worked my ass off for me. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the I Heart Radio app,

spk_0
She will be here today and there's just too much to cover. There's just so much to cover.
spk_0
If you've got a favorite song, let us know what your favorites are.
spk_0
If you saw her listening event over the weekend at the movies, I think I need this from
spk_0
everyone now. To hear context of songs from the artist's perspective and the creative,
spk_0
just even the jumping off points, right, Sissini, for how the songs got to where they became.
spk_0
That just a little background behind it. Sometimes even the meaning, because I get lost in lyrics
spk_0
and I just don't understand them sometimes. And metaphors and devil on tundry.
spk_0
All that I want to explain to me. Yeah, metaphors and devil on tundry. And then you realize,
spk_0
I guess you, and this, I mean, look, you know this when you love an artist, but there are can be
spk_0
several meanings to certain words. And it's inspired by something maybe by the artist,
spk_0
but it's also interpreted by you, maybe differently.
spk_0
I love getting to know every one of those songs. We talked about our favorites. We'll share
spk_0
that with Taylor. I'm kind of curious. Also, this is going to happen at eight o'clock this morning,
spk_0
but I just, I'm also curious to know when I was thinking about this this morning on my way in,
spk_0
Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift are in roles where they put their nerves aside.
spk_0
When it came to the proposal, was he really nervous? And did she get like, did she have,
spk_0
but was it what kind of feelings does, does, do you have in that moment? And do you remember
spk_0
that everything that was set? I think you black out for a little bit. I think I did. I think I
spk_0
need to watch the tape back. I love though that it happened after they filmed the new Heights podcast
spk_0
because I feel like people were having these theories because of the way her hair was
spk_0
with like the headphones and they were right. They were right. Yeah. So what did they say? I have
spk_0
to be reminded of Valent. Because of the photos from the proposal, people were like, she probably
spk_0
proposed after they filmed the new Heights podcast. Because it was in different hair? Because of the
spk_0
hair. And then because her hair had like something where it looked like she was wearing headphones,
spk_0
and they were right. He did do it after they did the new Heights podcast. Lots lots lots to cover.
spk_0
Very exciting. Can't eight o'clock get hair fast enough? No. I know. We want to be in the moment,
spk_0
Tony, but not this moment. I want to be at eight. No, we're going to get there. The nice. Yeah,
spk_0
it's kind of like going on a trip or vacation. The build up is half the fun. It's like packing.
spk_0
Packings fun. I hate packing. I love packing. Yeah. Oh, it gets me so excited. Oh my gosh. I'm not a
spk_0
good packer. I just want to have a suitcase with three things in it and just use the same thing
spk_0
all the time. I mean, that's not a bad idea. I know, right? Do you cry? Often. And do you cry at
spk_0
moments where others aren't crying? It's not like a sad cry. It's just like you get emotional. It
spk_0
could be in a TV show. I definitely do thousand percent. Yeah. I cry a lot. It could be for other
spk_0
people's beautiful moments in life that you've seen. It could be over breakup. It could be whatever
spk_0
reason, but you do like get the tear in your eye. I mean, I cried when that woman won a million
spk_0
dollars on wheel of fortune. See? She did not cry. I cried. So what's the trick to stopping it
spk_0
instantly if you kind of feel a little embarrassed that you're crying now? I tried to tell myself
spk_0
people like it when you cry, but they don't they do judge. Yeah. Why are we trying to stop ourselves?
spk_0
Because I feel like I cry all the time when I make a bond and I'm just like, I don't want to
spk_0
really do it. Also, if you're talking like what if you're trying to tell something to somebody
spk_0
and you can't get through it, maybe you're making a speech or a toast or whatever. I see where you
spk_0
can't get through it. How do you stay on track? Yeah. So there's a way. We'll see if we can do it.
spk_0
I'll tell you in a few minutes before seven o'clock. I was just talking about these new dictionary
spk_0
words. So it's Tuesday, October 7th and these new dictionary words. So October 7th, 2025. These are
spk_0
the new words going into the dictionary. Love it. Dad bod. I feel like it's been around for a long
spk_0
time. That's going in. You know what that is. Okay. But it has to be dad bod. Like my dad's in
spk_0
the dictionary. And so it's bought. Maybe bod isn't. Okay. I don't I never look a bod. But dad
spk_0
bod will be there. Hard pass is going in. Oh yeah. I like that. These are old to me though.
spk_0
I guess I have to prove themselves out to be to have sustainability in long time. Like what about
spk_0
six seven? That's not a yes. Six seven. Briss is going in. What's ghost kitchen? That's going
spk_0
in. Is that anyone know what ghost kitchen is? It's going into the dictionary. Yeah. Ghost kitchen
spk_0
for postmates or Uber eats. It's like they don't have an actual you can't like ghost sit. They're
spk_0
not like a brick and mortar. Ketsu has one on the table of art. It literally says like they make it
spk_0
for delivery. Yes. Oh, I didn't know it's called a ghost kitchen. I just like a rental.
spk_0
A commercial cooking space for food and delivery only. Yeah. That seems like a long time. Yeah.
spk_0
It goes kitchen's easier. What about a dumb phone that's going in? You know, we smart dumb phone
spk_0
smartphone. Oh, like a basic phone. I am all four. When I run for office, I want
spk_0
dumb phones everywhere. You'd I would I would bring back the landline.
spk_0
I'm not I'm not for I am for because I don't want my kids to have a smartphone yet. So I just
spk_0
want to get like a landline and then they can use that for the time. Just I mean, back
spk_0
from let's go to you. Would you use a dumb phone? Which basic phone that you can just call on?
spk_0
Ah, it's not so nice. No internet, right? It is so no internet. No. No, I would not use that.
spk_0
I took a walk the other day without my phone and walk. It was not my pocket. I found this
spk_0
be a great moment in my life. Yeah. Yeah. It's the best. So come here. So yeah, you're 20. You're
spk_0
are in turn. I mean, is it dumb phone? Like are we finally at the point where your college friends
spk_0
are saying, Hey, you know what? Our phones are too smart. Let's go back. Let's be cool and make
spk_0
it the 90s again. Definitely not. We are glued to our phones. Yeah. We thought we were on to
spk_0
something Ryan. Well, we are too, but I just need my brain to break everyone's mind. It's going
spk_0
in the dictionary. W F H is going in. That's a good one. We're from home. Ah, yes. Yeah. We're
spk_0
forgot the tea. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know what has happened. And I'll tell you more in my weekend
spk_0
watch list, which is like forever away on a Tuesday. But I'm starting to watch this series called
spk_0
The Girlfriend. Have I seen it? Yes. Very good. They were just telling you about it like two weeks
spk_0
ago. Really? Yeah. They all run together. Yeah. Bad sisters. The girlfriend. I don't know. They
spk_0
cannot keep up with the titles or where I find them. Anyway, so I'm watching it on prime, right?
spk_0
And I'm hooked for four or five episodes in. And then I don't know, it's maybe the fifth or
spk_0
sixth episode. All of a sudden, jarringly, pharmaceutical commercials start coming on. Yeah.
spk_0
I love the show. You got a jarringly. No ads. It doesn't. I thought I did. I thought I did.
spk_0
I have so many ads. But they gave me four episodes with no ads. And then on like the fifth and sixth,
spk_0
all these ads about medicines kick in. Yeah. Yeah. Were you intrigued by these ads?
spk_0
Tums ads everywhere. Tums. But they they're so jarring the way they cut in. I know, but you know
spk_0
what it gives you cuddle time. No, actually, it really, it really got me upset. Because
spk_0
they tell you in the corner how long the guys are going to be. Because you think all it's 30
spk_0
seconds and all the time another one starts to and a half. I mean, two and a half minutes.
spk_0
Yeah, you go make pizza. It's too long. Yeah. Popcorn, you could scroll through your phone a little bit.
spk_0
But I'd almost rather they not tell me it's two and a half minutes because my blood starts to,
spk_0
it's really weird how impatient we've become and how jarring. Now, when I watch something and I know
spk_0
there's going to be commercials, I get it. Like, I watch football. Right. You know, right? We sit
spk_0
through that. No problem. No problem at all. But when you don't expect them, I know they just
spk_0
cut in. It's true. What it's kind of it really has effect on me as a human. What do you think about
spk_0
the show? I love it. I love it. I don't this Robin writes in it and Olivia Cook and they're both.
spk_0
They've got all kinds of things going on in their heads. I definitely told you about this like three
spk_0
weeks ago. That's fine. I'll give you credit. Now, we'll get into that later in the week
spk_0
when we're watching. Sister needs been lying to her dental hygienist, which I think is hysterical.
spk_0
I lie sometimes in my doctors. What are you lying about? How about any flaws?
spk_0
You know, when you sit down and they're like, do you have any pain? And I know that if I tell them
spk_0
that I have sensitivity, the next thing is going to be like, you need gum surgery because I've
spk_0
been down this road. And so I'm like, no, everything's great. I feel good. I do this all the time.
spk_0
That's so bad. I know. I know. I know. I think in life, you feel like at our ages,
spk_0
week can kind of lie and it's fine. I mean, in 10, 15 years, you got to start being honest about
spk_0
everything. I'm longing something that you might get worse. When I go like from my physical,
spk_0
not like, how many drinks do you have a week? I don't tell the truth. This week or last week.
spk_0
You know, they are, they are, they are, they are so if you say like five to kilos, they're like,
spk_0
well, and how many nights? I don't want to say in two. Yeah. What's wrong with that? I'm like,
spk_0
well, of course, it's 10 days. I mean, actually, it's so funny. They're not judging. They're,
spk_0
they're like, well, no, but then they're going to tell you to do stuff. I don't know if I'm,
spk_0
I mean, it's like, come on. I just know they've already like quoted me for like what I need to get
spk_0
done. And I'm terrified of that surgery. I don't want to do it. So I allied about the sensitivity
spk_0
for a long time. And I did get the gum surgery and you do not want that. Oh my gosh. How many days
spk_0
thing if it's putting me out there? Did you get a donor? Did you get a taken from the roof of
spk_0
your mouth? Oh my gosh. Even more painful. So I'm supposed to get a hernia surgery. And I keep
spk_0
talking to the doctor about the recovery time. And I said, how well he's like, we can put a net in.
spk_0
I don't know. Well, you can do it some way that they put some in. I have you with it. So net. I
spk_0
don't then please don't quote me on this. If you're, if you know about this stuff, but there's one
spk_0
version where I can get it. And I'm back to moving exercise every four days. Okay. Then there's one
spk_0
where I can't exercise for like three weeks or or have like my schedule. Right. The same. And I
spk_0
cannot do that. And so I've put it off. I've just put it off. You could still walk. I'm sure.
spk_0
Yeah, but it's just so much. I really have a psychological issue with recovery.
spk_0
By getting better, like sitting it out, like being on the wing coming out with you. We can
spk_0
watch movie. Yeah. We can watch the whole thing. Play games. Uh huh. What's the commer,
spk_0
Tom's company. All right. Then I'll do my knee and my back on that. Maybe we all
spk_0
get them done. So, uh, if you cry in moments that most people don't, I can get there pretty easily.
spk_0
It's just that tingly. Sometimes it's sometimes it's a good feeling. Like when I see
spk_0
in a movie, a dad's relationship with his daughter, like a little girl and they do something for
spk_0
their daughter, I cry. Yeah. Yes. I tear up anything that has to do with the kids.
spk_0
Commercals can get you during the Olympics. I get they could do those commercials that give
spk_0
me the tears. So if you need to stop pinch the little bit of skin between your thumb and your
spk_0
pointer finger. Uh huh. And pinch it hard. Oh, I don't know how or why, but that's what I read.
spk_0
That makes me cry more. Like, no, no, apparently it does something to get your brain to stop the
spk_0
crying. Next time you I'll try it. I'll try it. I'll try it. I'll try it. We have a quote today
spk_0
and every day at this time. Here's the one I was thinking about. How does this sit with you?
spk_0
Everyone you meet knows something you don't. What does that mean to you?
spk_0
Sabrina on Taylor Swift's album. Well, the last track, Life of the Cheryl. So we are going to
spk_0
deep dive here. Tanya and I have studied it pretty, uh, all of this pretty much studied this
spk_0
album a little bit and a lot of y'all have been on nonstop. And she's going to be on with us
spk_0
in less than one hour Taylor Swift. So get ready for that. But people are saying the life of a show
spk_0
girl is two things. Makes Taylor seem happy and frisky. Did you think that? Yes. I'd be out like
spk_0
wood frisky. Okay. Well, let's just say if you saw the movie, there was a long stare at the end of
spk_0
that context conversation. Yes. She didn't wink. No, but it was almost like a wink when she talked
spk_0
about that song. Exactly. It was if you saw it, you saw it. If you didn't, you don't need to see it.
spk_0
But anyway, the fate of Ophelia is the beginning right here.
spk_0
So we're talking yesterday about, you know, Ophelia is a character in the Shakespeare
spk_0
hamlet. You ever read that? It's probably I probably like cheated my way there. But I did go back
spk_0
and restudy after me. I went back to restudy Ophelia and the story of Ophelia who's a fictional
spk_0
character. But like her her her dad, you know, the kick Saral and hamlet kicks Saral and all the
spk_0
sudden she feels lost and depressed than she dies. And as Tanya will tell you, this jumping off
spk_0
point turns into a story of goodness, right? Like Taylor's version, her reframing of it.
spk_0
Yeah. It's positive. Yes, exactly. And so I think it's like the perfect frame for the album,
spk_0
the life of a showgirl, because she's basically like rewriting these stories that we've all heard.
spk_0
But she's exactly what you said Taylor's version. And this song is giving like,
spk_0
lover energy, which is one of my favorite Taylor albums. So we'll talk to her about that coming up.
spk_0
Another one of the songs that I loved was Elizabeth Taylor now. If you don't know who that is,
spk_0
look it up. Elizabeth Taylor. But it talks about the like one of those glamorous stars of all time.
spk_0
Here it is. I feel like this is going to be a smash.
spk_0
So it's funny because I would hear that song and sing it or just go Elizabeth Taylor.
spk_0
Yeah. Not have known the total context unless I saw the movie. But Tanya, what do you think?
spk_0
Well, so this song, like you were saying, talks with the glamor and the scrutiny that comes with
spk_0
fame, the showgirl life. And it's like she says, you're only as hot as your last hit baby.
spk_0
And so again, this is another really perfect song for the title of the album, because it's telling
spk_0
it's kind of showing the good and the bad of the life of a showgirl. And this song gives reputation
spk_0
vibes, which is another one of my favorite Taylor albums. And she's coming up eight o'clock here
spk_0
this morning. There's a bigger like well, there's a lot of bigger broader questions. I've been thinking
spk_0
about we'll get to that at eight. The life of a showgirl, let's jump to that track. That's the last
spk_0
track on the album. Sissy and I saw it in the movie over the weekend for that listening party.
spk_0
And this is wisdom in the car. But this is about meeting an idol who like warns the the new
spk_0
or younger artist about the industry. And the lyrics show that behind the sequins and all of
spk_0
that facade, right? It's pain. Right? And then what you got out of it? It can be cutthroat. Yeah.
spk_0
I mean, it cut it. Is cutthroat? Don't you think for sure? I mean, I shouldn't say that because
spk_0
we don't know, but it can be cutthroat. Let me play a little bit of it. This is with Sabrina
spk_0
coming to which is super cool. Hey, thank you for the lovely bouquet. It's sweeter than a beach, but you don't
spk_0
know the life. It's a girl. And you never ever gonna wait. The more you play the more that you pay.
spk_0
And it ends with audio from a show, right? Yeah. It was their last show on the era's tour. Like that
spk_0
that part of the song literally gives me chills. All right, Taylor coming up. We'll get into all of it
spk_0
and the engagement, the process of wedding planning. I can officiate. I mean, it's all very important.
spk_0
Seacrest with you, interesting that she went through all the different sort of ways that a showgirl
spk_0
could live and the life, literally the life of a showgirl, these chapters of a showgirl.
spk_0
Taylor Swift's gonna be with us in a little bit. I was very excited actually when we saw the movie.
spk_0
This is me and she talked about featuring a guest star and that guest star in the movie. I
spk_0
wanted videos was her bread. She wanted her bread to be in the movie. And it's there. And I would
spk_0
like to give her my olive oil to dip the dip to dip to dip to dip to put with that bread. That's
spk_0
coming up in just a little bit. Second eight update time. Y'all ready for this?
spk_0
So it's from Ben in Culver City. And this is like the whole situation here is if you want
spk_0
peace of mind and you want to find out why someone blew you off, then reach out to us.
spk_0
For a second date update. And we'll try to get to the bottom of it. Let's get to Ben here.
spk_0
Ben, good morning. It's Ryan, Sister in the Inhtania. How are you?
spk_0
Hi, I'm good. How are you doing? We are good. Thank you. You got ghosted by this one. So you
spk_0
took a hot yoga class and you thought she was the instructor? Yeah. She was not. Why do you think
spk_0
she was the instructor? Well, I've never done hot yoga before. My friends tell me about it.
spk_0
And when I got there, I was trying to find my place. And so I went up to her because she was
spk_0
dressed in what I assumed a yoga instructor would look like. And I asked her,
spk_0
hey, first time, mind if I hang in the back? And she was like, yeah, of course. But I'm not the
spk_0
instructor. And I was like, okay, so a little embarrassing. But she had to go now with you three times.
spk_0
And I just want to get to the meat of this. So you got one, two, three times. And then after
spk_0
the third, she blocked you. Yeah, totally ghosted. No. Can you, I mean, you got to replay this
spk_0
in your head. And this is something that happens, right? But can you try and work out why?
spk_0
Like, what do you think she would say? Well, I was trying to figure that out because all the
spk_0
dates seemed to be going well, like we were on a trajectory towards like a relationship. Like,
spk_0
we got coffee at the first date and then we hung out and Belmont and got like tacos and we ended
spk_0
up kissing, like having a good night and made plans for another day. Like we were talking about
spk_0
going to see weapons and theaters. And now I just guess that's. But do you say what?
spk_0
Here's what I, if I was dating you, here's what I just heard. I mean, just thinking, uh, you said,
spk_0
we're like at relationship point in three days. That's very vast. I think to start talking like that.
spk_0
Did you say things like that? Are you know, that that's a good point. I was trying to think if I
spk_0
gave off that kind of, I don't know, desperate energy, but she told me that she was also interested
spk_0
in a relationship. She brought us up first. And so I was like, yeah, that's absolutely something
spk_0
that I'm looking for. I think that's important to know and trying to get to know someone if you're
spk_0
both working towards that. And we were something happened. Clearly something happened. But it's
spk_0
important. You know about this for the future because if you did something that's a complete
spk_0
Iq, you got to fix that. Yeah. I'm not saying you did. Maybe there's something that happened with her.
spk_0
But it is mysterious. And then we will get her on the phone. She's agreed to come on. We will talk
spk_0
to her. You'll listen in and we'll find out what she says next at kiss FM. We got Ben on the line.
spk_0
I'm going to get right to it. Ben met this woman in hot yoga. They went out three times.
spk_0
They started talking about being in a relationship. She brought, he said she brought it up first.
spk_0
After the third date, she blocked him. He doesn't know why. Now I have no idea what to make of
spk_0
this. When you say, not something to have a hunch. I have no idea what to make of what happened
spk_0
with Ben. But a block is a hard stop. There must have been some sort of a deal breaker in that
spk_0
date. Number three, like a block or is she block is that block? I anger or block means there's
spk_0
someone else that might see your phone. Sure, whatever. But she's out. Then okay, you're on you there.
spk_0
Okay, Ben, this is the moment. Be very quiet. I'm going to put Delaney on the phone.
spk_0
And we will try and ask her what happened and what went wrong and see if we can get her. Okay,
spk_0
she's agreed to come on the air. Hang tight. Here we go. Delaney, good morning. Thank you for
spk_0
agreeing to come on kiss FM this morning. You're on the air with us. It is Ryan,
spk_0
Sistine, Tony. How are you? Hi, good morning. How are you? Well, I'm excited because I'm about
spk_0
to talk to Taylor Swift. But let's talk about you. It's hard to focus with this coming up. But we are.
spk_0
Are we Tony and Sistine? We're in the moment. We're in the moment for you right now. Delaney.
spk_0
No, we're here for you. Okay, we're here for Delaney. So here's the thing.
spk_0
We want to ask about a guy named Ben that you went out a few times with. How's Ben? What's Ben
spk_0
like? You like the guy? Tell me about Ben. Why is that funny?
spk_0
Yeah. Sorry. Okay, I definitely have a few things I had heard the last of this guy.
spk_0
What's so funny about Ben? This is the giggle. What's the giggle?
spk_0
Well, it says I was actually just thinking about him the other day. I don't know. He's funny.
spk_0
He's a funny guy. Okay, a lot of people are listening to this right now. And hopefully.
spk_0
And are curious why are you laughing about him? Do you like the guy or not like the guy? Because as
spk_0
I understand it, you have blocked him on your phone. And we're just honestly, we're calling to
spk_0
find out why. Yeah, no, I mean, we did. We went on a couple of dates. We had, you know, we had a good
spk_0
time. I guess, I don't know. He, well, like there was a friend of mine dated him and like,
spk_0
there's had a lot of things to say. Okay, just tell me what your friend said.
spk_0
He said, first of all, that he had a wandering eye. And that he is not nearly as hygienic as,
spk_0
you know, oh my god. I can't stop there. It's really, really, really, really. I understand. Okay,
spk_0
so I asked you to say it. So blame me. Did you not know your friend had been out with this guy
spk_0
after you went out two or three times? No, no, I didn't. And then it came up in conversation. And
spk_0
it was just like, oh, wait, whoa, same guy. Okay. Like, well, you know, what, what, what did you think
spk_0
of him? Like, why are you not dating him? Like, why have I never heard of him kind of thing? Is there
spk_0
kind of like a full stop? I feel like she had to say it's a pretty full stop. Do you mind if I
spk_0
bring Ben into this conversation? I mean, he's here. Oh my god. Yeah. Hi. Hi.
spk_0
Does, okay, details Ben, but does that make sense to you?
spk_0
The hiding stuff? No. I can't believe it is. Just take, just take it as a note. You don't have to explain it.
spk_0
Did you know you went out with her friend? I feel like that's on you. I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about.
spk_0
Jazzy. Jazzy. Oh my god. You know, Jazzy.
spk_0
I mean, she's great, but we just like, oh no, we dated for a bit. It didn't work out. That's.
spk_0
But now you know why I didn't work out that. She said, yeah, but wait, she was saying I would have
spk_0
said, I had bad. How did you? That was one of the things she said. Yeah. Well, Ben, I think this is a very
spk_0
good learning moment for all of us here, right? A little feedback. So it's not that she has an
spk_0
issue with you dating or friend. It's the review you got. And those reviews are critical in many cases.
spk_0
Pleasant good. Sorry. You didn't work out with Jaz, but I mean, you are obviously not the same lady that she is.
spk_0
Yeah, could it be different about you? Jazzy's trying to sabotage.
spk_0
I would never go back to Jaz if that's what you're concerned about.
spk_0
All right, tell me, we'd have to wrap up Taylor Swift is about to join us here. So,
spk_0
is there any chance you want to give Ben a shot? Is there any chance your friend might be trying to sabotage?
spk_0
Just what do you think? I really don't think that she's trying to sabotage me. I've known her for a really long time.
spk_0
And I trust her far more than I trust someone that I don't know. So, yeah, I, you know, I'm sure you're a nice guy,
spk_0
but I think I'm just going to move on. Thank you both. Thank you, Ben, for reaching out. Thank you
spk_0
for listening, buddy. Good luck. This one's not meant to be and that's okay. And Delaney, have a great day. Thank you very much.
spk_0
All right, Taylor Swift is the next thing we're going to get into here. She's joining us in just a minute. Let's roll headlines.
spk_0
Sissonine.
spk_0
Just FM headlines, but Sissonine.

Dinosaur Satu that had been stolen from the Sinclair gas station in Brentwood was returned unharmed and with an apology note.

And the Dodgers beat the Phillies 4 to 3 in game 2 of the NLDS yesterday game 3 is tomorrow night at Dodger State.
spk_0
All I know is what I've been told and that's a half truth is a whole lie.
spk_0
For almost a decade the murder of an 18 year old girl from a small town in Graves County, Kentucky,
spk_0
went unsolved until a local homemaker, a journalist and a handful of girls came forward with a story.
spk_0
A story that law enforcement used to convict six people and that got the citizen investigator on national TV.
spk_0
Through sheer persistence and nerve this Kentucky housewife helped give justice to Jessica Kerr.
spk_0
My name is Maggie Freeling. I'm a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, producer and I wouldn't be here if the truth were that easy to find.
spk_0
I did not know her and I did not kill her or rape or burn or any of that other stuff that y'all said it.
spk_0
They literally made me say that I took a match and struck and threw it on her. They made me say that I poured gas on her.
spk_0
From Lava for Good, this is Graves County. A show about just how far our legal system will go in order to find someone to blame.
spk_0
Merger y'all better work the hell up. Bad things happens to good people in small towns.

I'm Jonathan Goldstein and on the new season of Heavyweight I help a centenarian mend a broken heart.
spk_0
How can a 101 year old woman fall in love again?
spk_0
And I help a man atone for an armed robbery he committed at 14 years old.
spk_0
And so I pointed the gun at him and said this isn't a joke and he got down and I remember feeling kind of a surge of like,
spk_0
okay, this is power. Plus my old friend Gregor and his brother tried to solve my problems through hypnotism.
spk_0
We could give you a whole brand new thing where you're like super charming all the time.
spk_0
Being more able to look at people in the eye.

Backed by millions in venture capital and private equity, it grew like a tech startup.
spk_0
While Kindbody did help women start families, it also left behind a stream of disillusioned and angry patients.
spk_0
You think you're finally like with the right people in the right hands and then to find out again that you're just not.

spk_0
In the 1980s, modeling wasn't just a dream.
spk_0
It was a battle deal.
spk_0
And the models themselves, they carried scars that never fully healed.
spk_0
Till this day, honestly, if I see a measuring tape, I freak out.
spk_0
The model wars podcast peels back the glossy cover and reveals a high-stakes game

spk_0
I felt in the deepest depression that I had ever had.
spk_0
How do you think you misunderstood?
spk_0
I'm not this evil mean person that people think that I am.
spk_0
I'm too compassionate.
spk_0
I have sympathy for **** that **** my man.
spk_0
Put so much heart and soul into your work.
spk_0
What's the hardest part for you to take that criticism?
spk_0
This **** was not given to me.
spk_0
I worked my ass off for me.
spk_0
Even when I was a stripper, I'm going to beat the best pole dancer in here.
spk_0
When was the moment you felt?
spk_0
I did it.
spk_0
I still feel this day.
spk_0

spk_0
spk_0
How are you guys doing?
spk_0
We're so excited.
spk_0
Forget about us.
spk_0
We have so much to cover with you.
spk_0
Oh, I can't wait.
spk_0
We're so excited to have you.
spk_0
It's been, it's been way too long since we've gone to chat.
spk_0
I know.
spk_0
I know.
spk_0
And we have followed every step and a massive congratulations to you directly for
spk_0
everything's just happening in your professional life and in your personal life.
spk_0
And then the infusion that like you live in the intersection of those two things
spk_0
in a really transparent way.
spk_0
Thank you.
spk_0
Thank you for saying that.
spk_0
It's it's been the most wonderfully wild chaotic, joyful, exciting week.
spk_0
And I'm just so happy that this album is out because it's like this secret that you have
spk_0
this like wonderful secret where you're like, oh my god, like I got somebody a Christmas
spk_0
president or something and I'm really excited to see them open it.
spk_0
And it's just been wonderful.
spk_0
I couldn't have asked for more and like just thanks for listening to it.
spk_0
Thanks for just playing that song just then by the way.
spk_0
Well, we're playing all the songs.
spk_0
Sissy and I got a chance to see the movie also over the weekend.
spk_0
And thank you for that.
spk_0
You really?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I saw we saw the whole thing start to finish.
spk_0
You guys.
spk_0
Oh my gosh.
spk_0
I went with all my mom friends.
spk_0
We got our kids.
spk_0
Our daughters were dancing in the front of the theater.
spk_0
Like it was a party.
spk_0
You're so supportive.
spk_0
Thank you.
spk_0
I just saw a new box office numbers.
spk_0
Just I know I don't want you to say this.
spk_0
I will say this for you.
spk_0
It is amazing.
spk_0
Like a 50 million plus world wide tailer just for that.
spk_0
Wow.
spk_0
These experience over the weekend.
spk_0
Oh my gosh.
spk_0
I just have to thank the fans for that because they're
spk_0
they're 100% of the reason behind that.
spk_0
The fact that they wanted to go out and experience this music
spk_0
altogether like that.
spk_0
And also music videos.
spk_0
I put so much into them.
spk_0
So many artists put so much into what they make in terms of music videos.
spk_0
And I really love the idea that you know maybe we should be
spk_0
doing these things in movie theaters.
spk_0
No.
spk_0
You know what?
spk_0
Honestly.
spk_0
I see on a big screen.
spk_0
I thought giving like we listen to I have the I got the album
spk_0
on vinyl.
spk_0
So I heard the songs on vinyl before.
spk_0
And I like but when you told us the context for each song
spk_0
it really made a difference.
spk_0
I mean it really framed it in a way that gave it obviously more meaning
spk_0
but several layers to it which I guess was the intent.
spk_0
Well I mean that's yeah hopefully like that's that's amazing because
spk_0
I used to do these things called secret sessions at my house where I would invite
spk_0
fans to the house and they they would hear a new album that nobody had heard
spk_0
before and I would basically explain the context of the songs to them
spk_0
before they would hear each song.
spk_0
And so I wanted to sort of kind of infuse a little bit of that energy
spk_0
into these movie theater experiences and give the fans an insight into where I was
spk_0
coming from when I was writing these songs because like that's my
spk_0
favorite part of the process.
spk_0
I I cannot tell you how exciting it is for for us when we're in the studio
spk_0
writing these songs and bouncing ideas off of each other and when a lyric
spk_0
really clicks like it just is my favorite part of the process.
spk_0
So I love getting to tell the fans kind of where I was coming from when I
spk_0
wrote it but also full well knowing that it's going to go into their life
spk_0
and it's going to be whatever they need it to be you know like a good song is like a mirror
spk_0
you know whoever looks into it sees sees a different thing reflecting back you know.
spk_0
Well it's funny when when you talked about ruin the friendship that track and you listen to it
spk_0
and we listen to it and you talk about the specificity of something in high school.
spk_0
I had a conversation after the movie with a friend of mine about a specific conversation where
spk_0
the person I was dating in high school I she had a special sandwich that she liked I got this
spk_0
subway it was a blimpy the subway sandwich like a one of those things a big sandwich with
spk_0
onions and oregano and I drove to her other school and I was gonna surprise her and I drove two
spk_0
enough hours and when I got there she was with another guy and I think it ruined me forever but it like oh my
spk_0
God. This is crazy. Yeah but I'm telling you this is my conversation.
spk_0
That's the moment in your life. No this is the reason. That is for me that would be my villain
spk_0
origin story. This is it. You have me on cup for mine. Thank you. We're not being dramatic.
spk_0
That's crazy. That's like I remember the thing is like everything is so heightened when we're
spk_0
in high school. Everything is so intense. So heightened so catastrophic so fleeting and so that's
spk_0
I think that's oftentimes why I return back to those memories. You know every once in a while
spk_0
go back there. You know like on on midnight that wrote a song called midnight rain on you know
spk_0
folklore wrote a song called August like you go back to those kind of times that you just felt
spk_0
like everything was was the end of the world like and and I mean it because it was for you back then
spk_0
and that's valid. No when you said second period like thinking about that class I remember second
spk_0
period every like I it's just it but that's what's great I mean that's what was fun about listening
spk_0
to it and having the context and also you said at the beginning of of the movie that we saw
spk_0
about the album with the tracks on the album in the order you talked about how you were working
spk_0
at this incredible tour breaking records right everywhere and it was so it made such an impact
spk_0
on you that you were inspired to write these songs to to make this album because of what you were
spk_0
feeling and seeing why you're really busy and why you have this relationship with with Travis
spk_0
all at the same time and I thought that was interesting that you were doing so much and I
spk_0
seemingly you know working and traveling yet you still had all of that momentum to come up with more.
spk_0
I mean it one thing actually ended up fueling the other because being on the Aristotle was an
spk_0
experience unlike anything I'd ever gone through in my life and so I wanted to capture those like
spk_0
heightened emotions there was such a sort of like windfall behind us like I just couldn't turn off
spk_0
the creativity and it was it was something that I'm always going to be so happy that we captured in
spk_0
real-time Max Max Martin and Shell back and I I hadn't worked together they're unbelievable they're
spk_0
unbelievable and I hadn't I hadn't worked with them in you know seven or eight years since the
spk_0
back in the studio it was almost like we were kind of drafting off of this creative energy that
spk_0
was just bouncing off of this tour and that was one of the reasons why I wanted to make it sort
spk_0
of show business themed and I wanted it to be like pure chaos and like and like kind of showgirls
spk_0
running around like the scandal of it the fun of it the excitement of it just showgirls inherently
spk_0
are entertainers they are provocateurs they are playful they are mischievous they're funny
spk_0
and so I wanted to encapsulate that all in one album well you did it then it is out with there's
spk_0
I don't know how we're going to get to it I'm so much it's a good issue we'll come back we'll talk
spk_0
about the proposal got asked about the wedding planning all of it Taylor Swift is with us now
spk_0
oh polite actually your fiancee Travis is favorite track off the life of a showgirl and
spk_0
no secret that you are engaged congratulations um thank you yes not a secret at all
spk_0
no people okay so you kept it tight for two weeks I did see Jason in promoting money and I
spk_0
football ask your fiancee about the wedding date and he didn't give an answer so do you have one
spk_0
haha um I definitely feel like when I talk about the wedding I get so excited that it makes me just
spk_0
want to like it makes you just want to like talk about it for like an hour but it's just sort of like
spk_0
I I won't stop talking if I start you know what I mean but I'm so happy that you're thank you
spk_0
for being excited for us because well I'm excited for us too were you were you were you like you
spk_0
are in a role he is in a role where you put aside nerves you just that's what you can do
spk_0
oh my god in this moment was were you I mean like that the thing is like I share so much of
spk_0
our relationship with the world that like the moment that that happened it's like I'll have it
spk_0
forever and that will always be mine there's so much that um you know is shared with with the world
spk_0
when it comes to the fact that we're both very public facing people and both of our you know
spk_0
career paths involve entertaining people so we're we're very like we're very kind of relaxed about
spk_0
things in a way but we also have I got to figure out like ways to make sure that I do have things
spk_0
that are just between us um and thankfully we do have a lot of those things and that moment in
spk_0
particular is one that's always just going to be ours so and just curiously do you remember I
spk_0
get when that happens do you remember everything that said do you really have to go like replay it
spk_0
in your head like in a whole I remember everything I remember everything I think I would
spk_0
yeah did you see it coming like did you know I was happening like we're nails done
spk_0
oh oh I mean they we had done a podcast earlier that day so it was our everything was fine do you
spk_0
know I mean yeah like I had I had like my hair was fine my makeup was fine my nails were
spk_0
far like everything was like you know what you would what you would have on for like I guess
spk_0
me doing this like video podcast that we did so that was all that was all kind of already in place
spk_0
with the love which is kind of might have been part of the bait and switch and part of the like
spk_0
ruse like I I do think he kind of like use the podcast as a distraction and like a ruse
spk_0
I for him to have that guy like that up made in the backyard uh-huh
spk_0
the arts of the other guy he's tricky it just that's the same like when he's on the field they're
spk_0
like we never know where he's going to pop up we never know what he's going to do next like
spk_0
he's he's clever well Taylor Swift is with us and the fate and irony of this I happen to just
spk_0
been ordained and married Tonya here on the show and her wedding so I don't know who that's amazing
spk_0
yeah what a what a what a chance to do yeah he did a really really good good job like
spk_0
really good for my name in the house you know you give it a good review I give it I would give it
spk_0
20 stars out of 10 like I he really blew us away I'm in yeah he was great fantastic so I
spk_0
get on that just speak how close you guys are online course and I'm allowed to do other weddings
spk_0
so I'm just throwing my name out there as if she I'm honored I am honored that you would that
spk_0
you would be up for that that is fantastic you guys are amazing it would be my honor honestly
spk_0
I'm really into officiating weddings these days I'm enjoying myself we are spend some time chatting
spk_0
with Taylor Swift this morning here if you just joined us it's so great to talk to you I know
spk_0
that you've got like going on Taylor's new album the life of a showgirl is out I'm just this is
spk_0
me curious something about you and how you look at your your universe you know I notice the the
spk_0
affection that you get from fans the loyalty you get from fans of all ages all over this planet
spk_0
and I'm curious to know how that I'm not ways is like the wrong word but like there is a
spk_0
responsibility and you do it like you you really I think you think about all of all of what that
spk_0
means is that right and how do you look at it that's a really thoughtful and lovely question because
spk_0
it is something that I think about all the time I think you know when the conversation of trying to
spk_0
get ownership of my music that's been sort of like a conversation I've been having throughout my
spk_0
entire adult life so I'm very well I'm aware of the idea of a legacy right because I've been
spk_0
trying to figure out how to get ownership over my musical legacy and you do sort of you try to
spk_0
be thoughtful about it I mean it's it's from my perspective the people who made music when I
spk_0
was in my formative years of youth and preteen and teen years and in my 20s like those songs really
spk_0
helped sort of like guide my emotionality and my kind of I don't know like kind of green lighting
spk_0
it to be okay for me to feel some ways and the more nuanced those songs were and the more detailed
spk_0
they were the more I felt like it was fine that I was feeling these very like big detailed nuanced
spk_0
wild feelings right and so from where the music comes from I'm not only focused on like
spk_0
just trying to be as specific as possible about how something feels for me
spk_0
because I know that helped me when other artists did it but also like variety and trying really hard
spk_0
to like make a different album this time than I may last time the whole last album was focused
spk_0
strictly on poetry strictly on poetry and it was in the title this this one is focusing strictly
spk_0
on vibes and show and excitement a showmanship excitement mischief um and just a spectacle pop
spk_0
spectacle and trying to do both of those things back to back to the best of my ability that's
spk_0
because I take my job very seriously as a person whose career path is entertaining people
spk_0
I really didn't want to do anything that was close to like what I did last time and I think that the
spk_0
more you can vary things up and like show people sort of like a dexterity of you can make this and
spk_0
then you can turn around and make this very different thing like that's also part of sort of an
spk_0
example I'm trying to set my industry it's very interesting to hear from inside your mind yeah
spk_0
right it's very interesting to see the perspective from inside because you know we get to see the
spk_0
product like we don't we don't necessarily always get always get the detail of that process and
spk_0
and I'm just I also want to say that I make olive oil and so your bread looks really good I will
spk_0
send you my fresh pressed olive because it's not better than that you want to do like a sort of
spk_0
like a farm fan I do my little dream is to have a set up at a farmer's market that's going to be
spk_0
in my retirement I'm going to be at the farmer's farm co-op exactly there you go
spk_0
amazing thanks so much for calling in Taylor congratulations on everything we appreciate the
spk_0
friendship over the years yes thank you so much for everything you guys are amazing and also
spk_0
thank you for such thoughtful questions I actually hadn't really kind of dealt into that part of
spk_0
the process yet this week and I really appreciate you always kind of digging deep and it's very
spk_0
refreshing you are wonderful and I appreciate you appreciate you guys so much I have one more question
spk_0
it's about it's about the summer I turned fruity
spk_0
oh my god okay so no are you so your music is all over it I know the question and it's we know
spk_0
we just it's the ultimate debate yes are you team conrad or are you team Jeremiah I'm team summer
spk_0
I turned pretty because this show has this show when I tell you that this show has completely
spk_0
like use my music in the most thoughtful beautiful way to hold really important moments in
spk_0
belly's life I'm like I'm like this I'm just I'm here for whatever is next I'm like I support
spk_0
your choices girl I feel like my music comes from inside her mind yes so I'm like I'm really
spk_0
with her no matter what she goes with I know that team belly promise that I thought about this
spk_0
well said well well done we love you Taylor I take care to thank you guys thank you bye bye
spk_0
well I was excited for that whole thing my heart is still pounding I so many questions I can't you
spk_0
just can't get to everything and everything she says inspires another thought right oh
spk_0

spk_0
there are three private thoughts that psychologists say you should keep to yourself now I think if
spk_0
you talk to therapists you're supposed to not do that right do you keep it to yourself like as in
spk_0
not share it with your partner or not share with anybody even your therapist I think it's not about
spk_0
being with the therapist I think it's about in general because you know that's I wonder what the
spk_0
private thoughts are it's just to be it's just in life but why would they say it's interesting that
spk_0
psychologists would say that because I thought they would advocate open up about everything but they're
spk_0
saying don't share don't share don't share so what I'm over sharing is too much well we'll see
spk_0
before seven o'clock tomorrow um thanks for being here today I have a great one
