spk_0
He brought, I think I believe he brought his,
spk_0

spk_0
Nice.
spk_0
Yeah, his family didn't bring him.
spk_0
He said we're going to the John Creston.

spk_0
Yeah, he liked to shout out, Creston.
spk_0
Love to see it.
spk_0
Tor continues this week.
spk_0
Evansville, Dayton and Peoria,
spk_0
Knoxville, Greenville, York, Pennsylvania,
spk_0
Detroit, Cleveland, Birmingham, two shows,
spk_0
Chattanooga, November, Boise, Spokane, Tacoma, two shows,
spk_0
Abelian San Antonio, Tyler, we're trying to have a second show.
spk_0
We might just have to keep it a one.
spk_0
I'm not sure.
spk_0
A secondary ticket market is probably going to be a lot of money.
spk_0
But I know you still might be able to get tickets on the website.
spk_0
Then Austin, Texas, two shows in Phoenix,
spk_0
Sarasona, Santa Rosa, Redding, South Bend, Pittsburgh, Buffalo,
spk_0
and just announced last week,
spk_0
Nashville, Tennessee, January 25th,
spk_0
low ticket warning, brother.
spk_0
That's actually going to be a little bit of a...
spk_0
I'm going to snag him in there.
spk_0
That's actually going to fill up.
spk_0
No, you don't going to snag him.
spk_0
I'm going to take my parents' seat.
spk_0
I'm going to put you on the list, dude.
spk_0
I got you.
spk_0
My parents don't know yet.
spk_0
Sarah and I are in a very serious condition.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
I'm going to bring him in there, too.
spk_0
Did John Creston?
spk_0
Yeah, I'm going to take him.
spk_0
Yeah, well, I got a lot of jokes,
spk_0
so now about relationships.
spk_0
Perfect.
spk_0
The aunt is right.
spk_0
Yeah, you're an authoritative voice in the space.
spk_0
Well, I'm writing a Christian book.
spk_0
I laughed at him when he was trying to tell the joke.
spk_0
Yeah, I'm going to see that.
spk_0
Ha, ha, ha.
spk_0
Ha, ha, ha.
spk_0
Ha, ha, ha.
spk_0
Uh, big week in, big week for the country.
spk_0
The rider cup, do you watch that?
spk_0
He's the dude.
spk_0
So cool, dude.
spk_0
I was sweating.
spk_0
No, wow.
spk_0
It was all we lost, but I was on believe.
spk_0
Cause it was looking bad up top.
spk_0
Oh, yeah, then we came back.
spk_0
I was, I've never really like sweat it more than Sunday morning.
spk_0
We came back, dude.
spk_0
Listen, this is what, okay.
spk_0
I don't need enough, I should say.
spk_0
We can decide to cut this later if we decide.
spk_0
Okay, we were watching the rider cup and we're, uh, Bryson, the shampoo.
spk_0
Okay.
spk_0
He's our, in essence, uh, at least Scottie, Sheffler too, but he was kind of our leader.
spk_0
And he was like, this, you gotta realize golf, this, this story is getting to a point.
spk_0
Golf has like a, it's, it's so, you have to be so focused.
spk_0
And you're like, I've seen him like do instructional videos that you bring the club back.
spk_0
If it's a, it's, uh, you know, 64 degree, you're big it back till six o'clock and then
spk_0
that's going to make it go 65 yards.
spk_0
It's so, and then he was like cheering and we go, we were watching in the bus and we
spk_0
go, guys, autistic.
spk_0
No, and listen, hear me out, hear me out.
spk_0
spk_0
And then I go, yeah, I'm, I'm that with comedy.
spk_0
And what at my point is it is like every, there's, everybody that is great.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Is that?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Everybody that's ever invented anything.
spk_0
Anybody that made the iPhone, the light bulb, the airplane, the car that, you know what I'm
spk_0
saying?
spk_0
It's like, it's like a disability, but it's like, like, it's, it's like, everybody that's
spk_0
great at anything is has a little bit of that.
spk_0
Yeah, it's been, it makes sense.
spk_0
Yeah, it's been recently rebranded as autism, but it's, I've always just called it like,
spk_0
focus.
spk_0
Oh, you're obsessed with what you do.
spk_0
Or obsessed.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
I'm obsessed over people who obsess about what they do like that.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Because I just love that you can look at your craft and get into a zone with it where like,
spk_0
you're an alien to other people who don't think like that.
spk_0
I go, I love that.
spk_0
I go into another world.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
Like when I went, like, what I say, like inspiration, like visits me.
spk_0
You get a night, you go, he's gone.
spk_0
John is gone.
spk_0
And whatever, whatever in the present situation is happening, bad.
spk_0
I'm like, I'm not even here.
spk_0
You're flow state.
spk_0
You're just going.
spk_0
Dude, he gone brother.
spk_0
And they're like, everybody that's like, yeah, it's been re, it's like, unfortunately,
spk_0
a lot of people that have it, or what, I don't even know what you call it.
spk_0
I just get to make sense through a lot of people that are listening, but you're like,
spk_0
yeah, I have that.
spk_0
And he's great.
spk_0
And there's a lot of people doing unbelievable things with like Elon Musk is that.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
He might also be genuinely autistic, but yeah, I think.
spk_0
No, yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
What it, like, yeah.
spk_0
But he definitely has that.
spk_0
That's what they say the spectrum.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Like, dude, what, what'd you mean?
spk_0
Dude, who's the Latino comedian, the guy who just dropped a Netflix special?
spk_0
He's been mostly.
spk_0
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
He saw him on a clip the other day and he was like, I want to write a book, basically just
spk_0
convincing people that they don't have autism.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
For this exact reason.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
spk_0
Hey, self help.
spk_0
No, you don't.
spk_0
No, you don't.
spk_0
You just really get obsessed with everything sometimes.
spk_0
spk_0
Like, it's just like dude, the guy who like who made the mixture to like for like, asphalt.
spk_0
The guy is obsessed.
spk_0
He's like, dude, that's that's a wild thing to be obsessed with.
spk_0
Benjamin Franklin.
spk_0
Yeah, he's a set.
spk_0
What'd you mean?
spk_0
spk_0
Everybody.
spk_0
You're like, dude, everybody that's great at anything is like, dude, the guys that are like
spk_0
obsessed with their lawns are autistic.
spk_0
It's a prerec.
spk_0
Like you have to be able to get into that mindset of like, no, no, I don't care about the
spk_0
fact that I haven't eaten in, you know, 30 hours.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
I need to right now figure that out.
spk_0
That's what I'm saying.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Like, you go like, Bryce and DeChampo, you go, you go, whether you're whatever, you
spk_0
go, I saw him play when he played golf with Trump.
spk_0
He was like talking about golf, Phil Mickelson, this is saying, anybody that's good is talking
spk_0
about it in a way that they're like, I'm in a different world.
spk_0
Tom Brady has to be that.
spk_0
Michael Jordan has to be that.
spk_0
spk_0
Anybody that like is good at podcasting, anybody that's good at anything?
spk_0
Dennis Rodman with the rebound thing where he would, he would stand under the basket and
spk_0
have somebody stand behind him and just throw the ball off the rim so he could see how
spk_0
it bound.
spk_0
That's autism.
spk_0
That's like that dude.
spk_0
That dude is keyed into something.
spk_0
Yes, dude.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I think we're saying the same thing.
spk_0
It's like it's been rebranded.
spk_0
It's like, oh, I like it.
spk_0
I'm autistic.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And it does cause problems for those people in all other areas.
spk_0
I think if the person that has it, which is everybody, if they can find the avenue, they
spk_0
can line up the thing with the thing, it's game over.
spk_0
Yeah, it's lightning in the bottle.
spk_0
It is game over.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And I would argue to say that some people, that you wish you had it.
spk_0
Now you can.
spk_0
Now, well, yeah, you can take a bunch of time.
spk_0
Oh, you're good to go over.
spk_0
Why do we always get here in Eastern?
spk_0
He's just waiting in the wings.
spk_0
Like, when you guys are done here, I'm going to slide back in.
spk_0
They think a moment when they've ever come.
spk_0
He's just coming down the key like this.
spk_0
Put it.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
He's coming easy.
spk_0
From the top rope.
spk_0
I want to, I would like to hear feedback from people in the comments about that.
spk_0
Not about it.
spk_0
Not about it.
spk_0
Yeah, about if that, if that, it's like dude, everybody has it is killing it.
spk_0
Yeah, I don't think it's autism.
spk_0
I know.
spk_0
Yeah, that's the wrong word for it.
spk_0
I just think it's being obsessive about things that you really, really care about.
spk_0
And if you can find that thing, man.
spk_0
And I like, I'm like a little bit like sometimes I would go, I leave my house and then I'll
spk_0
circle back around to see if I close my garage door.
spk_0
Well, that might be it.
spk_0
That's always the same thing.
spk_0
Yeah, but we said, what'd you say obsessive?
spk_0
Yeah, well, that's when it becomes.
spk_0
Oh, now it's a problem is what you're saying.
spk_0
Yeah, like to wash your hands 37 times after.
spk_0
Yeah, like Luke Holmes has talked a little bit about that.
spk_0
But you're like, we can't say everything is a disability.
spk_0
Because these are like superpowers.
spk_0
Yeah, when putting the right in the right position.
spk_0
Yeah, does that make sense?
spk_0
Yeah, no, I think it definitely does.
spk_0
Ladies and gentlemen, this week's episode brought to you by Mando, Mando, ladies and gentlemen,
spk_0
what an unbelievable.
spk_0
Can you just say Mando, ladies and gentlemen, speaking of, I bet the CEO of this flash
spk_0
and say that about him, or him or whoever may.
spk_0
It's her, I believe.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
She's like, I want to see if I can make the best deodorant on planet earth.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
That's unbelievable.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
I don't have that mind directed in a different way.
spk_0
And I don't think I'm speaking on a turn.
spk_0
I think she did this for female products first.
spk_0
And now she's Mando is her second go at it.
spk_0
Oh, she couldn't get enough when she was that obsessed with it.
spk_0
Let me keep the I.
spk_0

spk_0
Mando clinically proven to control order.
spk_0

spk_0

spk_0

spk_0
Tough line.
spk_0
This is tough line.
spk_0
Mando is clinically proven.
spk_0
I was amazed.
spk_0
Wow.
spk_0
He was waiting for that, dude.
spk_0
But, but, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
spk_0
Mando is clinically proven to control odor better than a shower with soap alone.
spk_0
Oh, okay.

spk_0
I'm okay.
spk_0
You remember you told that story about riding a letter to Thomas Redd?
spk_0
Somebody gave me his cell phone number a while back.
spk_0
Chris Thomas?
spk_0
Yeah, and they were like, Chris wants to come on the pod.
spk_0
I was like, are you sure?
spk_0
Chris Thomas wants to come on the pod.
spk_0
He goes, yeah, I go, all right, out text him.
spk_0
But it's one of those things that's like, you know, you're asking a girl out of like,
spk_0
no, she likes you.
spk_0
Are you sure?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I'm not going, I'm not asking this girl to prom unless you've, if you heard it, Jim
spk_0
class, she wants to go.
spk_0
Yeah, don't make me look silly here when I reach out.
spk_0
Yeah, don't make me reach out.
spk_0
Hey, Crystal, oh, podcast.
spk_0
He's like, and he was like, yeah, do let's make it happen.
spk_0
Oh, I was like, wow, dude, honor to have him.
spk_0
That's one of my favorite guests.
spk_0
Yeah, I feel the same.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Dave last week.
spk_0
What did somebody say in the comments?
spk_0
This is where we're collecting a Christian Avengers songs right now, something like that.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Great comment.
spk_0
I'm going to cook in a comment section.
spk_0
Thanks.
spk_0
What'd you do?
spk_0
Why?
spk_0
I commented something as a joke.
spk_0
Oh, a Dave Ramsey?
spk_0
Yeah, I said, like, I said the guy, I said the guy, what about the, what about the parlay?
spk_0
So, I said the guy who bet 800 cash, could have won 800 million, you just got to pick,
spk_0
choose your picks wisely.
spk_0
And everyone's like in the comments, praying for me and stuff.
spk_0
Right, for each thing.
spk_0
And every comment was like, guys, it's just a joke.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
Okay, because I see him come through my feed, whatever you say.
spk_0
Yeah, no, they're not happy with you.
spk_0
Because I collabed on it.
spk_0
And you said guys.
spk_0
Well, I was a matter of mad too.
spk_0
I was like calling him out by name tagging him like this is you.
spk_0
That's the joke.
spk_0
Didn't have positive wives or all over Eastern right now.
spk_0
He's like, no, you're bad influence.
spk_0
Oh, and husband stopped helping.
spk_0
Yeah, I used to let him listen to the podcast, not anymore.
spk_0
Not anymore.
spk_0
Well, enjoy this episode.
spk_0
Chris Tomlin, ladies and gentlemen, welcome in.
spk_0
Huge episode for us that I Chris Tomlin is here, ladies and gentlemen.
spk_0
Chris Tomlin is here.
spk_0
He clapped for himself.
spk_0
We're here.
spk_0
Hey, don't, don't show Easternness.
spk_0
And I don't know if you know this.
spk_0
So go back up to that first bullet there.
spk_0
OK, don't read it.
spk_0
Don't read it.
spk_0
OK, OK.
spk_0
So I was looking on chat.
spk_0
But it said he's one of only four artists across all genres, by the way,
spk_0
to receive sound exchange digital radio awards surpassing one billion digital radio streams.
spk_0
So one of four Eastern everybody.
spk_0
Who do you think the other three are?
spk_0
Do you know?
spk_0
I do.
spk_0
You know, it'd be quite a tour.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
spk_0
I don't know who do you think Eastern on radio?
spk_0
Yeah, all time.
spk_0
To the Swift maybe?
spk_0
Nope, not radio.
spk_0
Radio go.
spk_0
Here on the radio.
spk_0
We're like a pit bull type again.
spk_0
Yeah, we yes.
spk_0
Pit bulls.
spk_0
Yeah, pit bull.
spk_0
What about Drake?
spk_0
That would be wild towards pit bull.
spk_0
Garth.
spk_0
Garth.
spk_0
Garth.
spk_0
And Justin Timberlake.
spk_0
Wow.
spk_0
Dang, man, that is a tour.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That's sad.
spk_0
That's sad is so funny because I'm sure by now there's more.
spk_0
Five or six who knows what it's been.
spk_0
But at the time I was a fourth to receive that.
spk_0
And I was thinking, I was just saying people who read that stat, they'd be thinking Garth's
spk_0
books.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Justin Timberlake, yeah.
spk_0
Pit bull, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Don't know.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
Who's the next?
spk_0
Don't know who that is.
spk_0
Who's the next?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
You know, when the homeschoolers go to what are the, what are the, what are the, what are
spk_0
the, the presidents on the rock?
spk_0
A man on the floor.
spk_0
And they go, who's that, who's that the fourth guy?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
spk_0
It's Chris Thomas.
spk_0
Now when you got that award, were the other three guys there?
spk_0
They gave it to me.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
They wanted to be there.
spk_0
They come here.
spk_0
They come here.
spk_0
They go.
spk_0
They check it on them.
spk_0
It's really sweet.
spk_0
Like winning the mass.
spk_0
It's really sweet with them.
spk_0
Well, I saw, I saw, because I think we talked about this before on the pod.
spk_0
And this is the time magazine, the most sung artist on earth.
spk_0
Have you heard that one?
spk_0
Well, I was at the, I was in the interview when they said, oh, you said it.
spk_0
No.
spk_0
No, I remember when I was asked to do this interview for Tom Magazine and they went his article on,
spk_0
and they were just trying to figure me out.
spk_0
And it was, it was interesting.
spk_0
I was in New York.
spk_0
I was in New York and they flew me up to New York and sit there.
spk_0
And I forget I've sent this hotel, talking this guy and he's like, man, it just seems
spk_0
that your music is sung because of the church around the world is probably sung more than
spk_0
anybody else's on the earth.
spk_0
And I'm like, I don't know about that.
spk_0
And then they wrote the article and, oh, yeah.
spk_0
This is really an anthem.
spk_0
And Chad G.B.D. said, hey, we don't check facts.
spk_0
spk_0
Well, yeah, because you would have to think if they most recognize will voice on earth, it
spk_0
can't be prior to Spotify.
spk_0
Right.
spk_0
Because that one's, it can't, so it can't be like Michael Jackson.
spk_0
It can't be someone prior to the current era.
spk_0
So it has to be post 2000s and then it has to be worldwide.
spk_0
And I think it speaks to just the church.
spk_0
People don't talk about that because you have these genres of music, but the church is everywhere
spk_0
there's dirt on the earth.
spk_0
Right?
spk_0
There's a church that meets and sings.
spk_0
These songs and just happen to have a couple songs that they sing around the world.
spk_0
And so I think that's maybe what I'm talking about.
spk_0
But yeah, it's the incredible privilege.
spk_0
Yeah, I wonder if you ever, like sometimes I'd be like people repost my clips.
spk_0
And I'm like, yeah, I'm this, but I'm not that.
spk_0
Like do you ever have like a church where you're like, I don't know if you ever like, you know how like who would
spk_0
be like somebody would be like, we don't want our music played at the Trump rally.
spk_0
You know, like Green Day or whatever.
spk_0
Oh, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
You guys are like not not.
spk_0
There's no way to check out.
spk_0
Keeping his own music is.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
You know how Green Day was like, we don't want our song, but I was like, well, that's not how Spotify works.
spk_0
Number one.
spk_0
Yeah, exactly.
spk_0
Yeah, but sometimes getting off the beaten path.
spk_0
You don't know what's.
spk_0
I don't know what it's out there.
spk_0
Yeah, I don't know what play my songs, but hey, you know, I guess you didn't know way to control it.
spk_0
Yeah, because because they church email me or us and go, hey, can we play your video?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Prior to our sermon series on dating or whatever it is.
spk_0
I'm like, yeah, I guess I don't check.
spk_0
You don't check.
spk_0
What are you teaching?
spk_0
How would you?
spk_0
You're a real boss.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, no way.
spk_0
Not his, do you ever would you ever?
spk_0
I was I wanted to ask you this because I saved you ever go to like a conference or something and you like line it up.
spk_0
What do you mean?
spk_0
You know, like if you were playing it like, there's some Christian conferences or some stuff.
spk_0
We like, hey, are we like, are we aligned with them?
spk_0
Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of times where I'm just like, it's probably too late.
spk_0
I've gotten there's like, ooh, I'm not so sure what's happening right now.
spk_0
And up next, Chris Thomas.
spk_0
Yes, that's what I was going to ask.
spk_0
Yeah, you're like, well, I, and then yeah, I should look around at your age.
spk_0
You go, you don't check this one.
spk_0
I'm going to get here.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, I guess I feel like the, the Andy Stanley, Louis Gigley, you're like, this is our, if they ask you to do anything me too.
spk_0
Yeah, check for, yeah, whatever, whatever you'll need.
spk_0
Then it's kind of off the, yeah, there's some of those like, not going to say, you know, the ones that are kind of like mixed with like a business seminars.
spk_0
And then they're like, kind of Christian and then there's like a lot of, you're not really quite sure what's going on.
spk_0
Right, right.
spk_0
But we do, do you remember when we, the first event we ever played together, you know, you didn't know it, you didn't know it.
spk_0
No, I'm really guessing he goes to the other side together.
spk_0
Me and you were at Disneyland night of joy.
spk_0
Really?
spk_0
Yeah, dude, this had to have been those were amazing.
spk_0
Awesome.
spk_0
2016, maybe somebody was 2015.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, that was a good, good father was hot.
spk_0
Was that, was that in the porn raid?
spk_0
Was that, no, it was, I think it was inside.
spk_0
It wasn't at the baseball field.
spk_0
It moved.
spk_0
Okay, yeah.
spk_0
Okay.
spk_0
That was it.
spk_0
Yeah, that was, that was art.
spk_0
Okay, well, he's flexing because he's done that so many times.
spk_0
Yeah, I did it once.
spk_0
He's like, I did it outside inside the Einstein.
spk_0
That just landed Disney World or Tokyo Disney.
spk_0
I go, I don't know, I was only at one.
spk_0
I was only at one.
spk_0
Which Disney gem.
spk_0
Well, we were, I said it over the notes.
spk_0
We were at, I was with you, I wasn't on the stage with you,
spk_0
but I was attending at a Bristol.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
The Easter.
spk_0
So, speaking of finding yourself,
spk_0
speaking of finding yourself like, where, how, in the world?
spk_0
Bristol, the NASCAR race.
spk_0
So, they have it, they used to, so these didn't never have a Easter race.
spk_0
So, they were like, obviously we need to make money in this as Sunday.
spk_0
Let's have a race.
spk_0
So, they go, well, let's have a church.
spk_0
It's the Easter Sunday.
spk_0
spk_0
So, all the drivers and their wives and they're like, well, we're going to church.
spk_0
And then they brought in the heavy hitters.
spk_0
It's Easter Sunday, man.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And then I got to do the flight, the start, the, start the race.
spk_0
Oh, yes.
spk_0
Did you do it?
spk_0
The green flag?
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
We're going to fly as a flag.
spk_0
That was intense.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That was intense.
spk_0
That's a lot of pressure.
spk_0
But yeah, never know where you're going to find yourself.
spk_0
And never knew I'd be with all in NASCAR, you know?
spk_0
Yeah, it's so cool.
spk_0
Well, I think we, I made a joke that day because they go, I remember them go into the crowd.
spk_0
You know, they do like a crowd shot.
spk_0
And I'm pretty sure I could be wrong with you saying amazing grades.
spk_0
I did it.
spk_0
Okay.
spk_0
And they went to the crowd and they, the people didn't know it.
spk_0
And I was like, hey, that's not a good sign.
spk_0
This is our main one.
spk_0
This is amazing.
spk_0
This is tough.
spk_0
This is our number one.
spk_0
This is our biggest one.
spk_0
You don't have anything else up to this.
spk_0
Yeah, you get it.
spk_0
It's amazing.
spk_0
Grace fails.
spk_0
You got nowhere to go.
spk_0
You have no other slice of turns.
spk_0
That's like walking around like a NASCAR.
spk_0
Do you like you don't know who Dale Earnhardt is?
spk_0
That's our main guy.
spk_0
Because that's true.
spk_0
Like if it's all going bad in a concert, you pull out amazing grace.
spk_0
And everybody, you get everybody back.
spk_0
Yeah, everybody's back.
spk_0
Okay, okay.
spk_0
We're with you.
spk_0
But when they don't know amazing grace, that's a tough one.
spk_0
Do you guys get that way?
spk_0
Have you ever been that on stage where you're like,
spk_0
we're losing them?
spk_0
They're just not with us.
spk_0
It's time, guys.
spk_0
It's amazing.
spk_0
Grace, I'm.
spk_0
I'm.
spk_0
Absolutely.
spk_0
I mean, it happens a lot.
spk_0
Hey, comedy is the same.
spk_0
We lose.
spk_0
I got to go on an old hit.
spk_0
From like a wee special.
spk_0
Oh, this word.
spk_0
I'll get him back.
spk_0
And then we can go somewhere.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Well, it is funny because it is like, it is such a like, probably the best.
spk_0
I've talked about this in here in the pod before.
spk_0
We have had Michael W. Smith has been in here in your crowder and Jen Johnson have all
spk_0
come through and I go, what we went to a co-play concert at Nissan like three weeks ago.
spk_0
And we were like, it's like a very fine line because you do feel parts of like a worship
spk_0
service.
spk_0
I don't know if that makes sense.
spk_0
Co-play.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
You were like, lights will guide you home.
spk_0
I need to be fixed.
spk_0
Like where we're all 80,000 people in here.
spk_0
Incredible.
spk_0
And you do feel it and I think of all growing up, it was hill song and it was all the way
spk_0
in your shows and now you're like, well, this is kind of confusing.
spk_0
Well, I can tell you a little bit.
spk_0
I speak into that a little bit because Chris Martin the day before met with, I think the
spk_0
Grammy organization put together with some producers and artists and he met, he had a small
spk_0
group.
spk_0
I wasn't in it.
spk_0
No, I'm not cool enough.
spk_0
But, but, but pit bull and guard.
spk_0
And so, but Armando, his name, yeah, it wasn't in it.
spk_0
But I was in that group.
spk_0
But one of my guys who produces my music with me, he was there and he texted me and they
spk_0
said the first question asked Chris was, where does your inspiration come from?
spk_0
And for music and he said, the hymns and he said it was in the church, going up to the
spk_0
church because that's always loved the way they made me feel.
spk_0
And he said, I want people to feel that when I see my music.
spk_0
And in fact, and we're going deep now, deep dive now.
spk_0
The last song on my new record I recorded is, is the hymns.
spk_0
This is my father's world and check this out.
spk_0
The opening line of this is my father's world.
spk_0
It's one of the great hymns of the faith.
spk_0
This is my father's world.
spk_0
And to my listening ears, all nature sings and round me rings the music of the sphere.
spk_0
Chris, as like Chris, you little dog.
spk_0
You little dog, grabbing from the hymns.
spk_0
I know what even though it's the music of the sphere, it comes from 1880 something.
spk_0
Wow.
spk_0
I think there are to be a lot of, you're like, I want to, he's like, I want to make the
spk_0
feeling of the hymns and you're like, well, yeah, it's kind of the from God.
spk_0
That's kind of the thing you're missing here, but other than that, you can take, you can
spk_0
sample a little bit of it.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, it is very, it is a very, it is, yeah, similar to like seeing a great work of
spk_0
architecture or reading, it is a mirror of the image of God.
spk_0
Or people being in community and enjoying art, it's from the gifts are from God.
spk_0
So yeah, I think it's missing the main piece, but you feel parts of it.
spk_0
Sure it is, but you feel that it's there.
spk_0
Yeah, I was like, my fiance was laughing because she was, I was crying.
spk_0
She's like, are you laughing?
spk_0
Because that was too.
spk_0
Yeah, I was crying, but I go, she could, what are you crying?
spk_0
I go, I don't know.
spk_0
I don't know.
spk_0
I don't know.
spk_0
I've just moved by this moment.
spk_0
Yeah, it's incredible, man.
spk_0
How was that like evolved for you through your career?
spk_0
Like what do you mean?
spk_0
Just how you feel like, how you feel music and where you feel music.
spk_0
Like you're talking about, you'll feel that at a cold play concert.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
Has it always, have you always been able to kind of pull that from places or?
spk_0
Well, for me, it's just, I've always wanted people to connect with God and, you know,
spk_0
in my songs and try to, and try to point them to the greater.
spk_0
I always say that if I, if my music can point people to the guy, kind of a greater story
spk_0
that's going on like this, that's what I think worship is so incredible.
spk_0
That's one of the music of worship is so different than any other music.
spk_0
And I don't say it's not saying it's better or anything like that, but it's different.
spk_0
It should be different because your soul is singing to a living God, if that makes sense.
spk_0
This is like a connection, the eternal connection that's happening.
spk_0
And so that's different than singing with the radio.
spk_0
That's different than just singing with a group of people.
spk_0
But when that, when you get to that place, you're like, wow, I think I really think my
spk_0
something is out of me is connecting to something way greater.
spk_0
That's, and then that's, you know, that's 20 people to worship God.
spk_0
And so I've always tried to grow in that, get better at that, and try to, that's my mission.
spk_0
When I walk on that stage, and my one thing is to hopefully help all this collective people
spk_0
to have an encounter with God.
spk_0
Yeah, I think that, yeah, I think, well, that's the, it's the unique experience
spk_0
because you do feel like you look at, look at a lot of the country artists that are great.
spk_0
Like you look at Morgune.
spk_0
He does, it does, it is greater than, it's not Christian, but it is greater than him.
spk_0
You know, he feel like maybe he's been canceled or, you know, he removes his songs from the
spk_0
Grammys.
spk_0
It's like maybe a Hollywood versus, or Zach Brian and the same, that were even Kenny Chesney.
spk_0
Where it's like this toes in the sand, where all I, it is something a little bit greater
spk_0
than just an exchange of chords.
spk_0
But when I think you involve the Christian aspect of it, it is like, yeah, amongst all generations
spk_0
everybody, and you're like, this is, yeah, speaking of Morgune, do you know him?
spk_0
Yeah, I do.
spk_0
Yeah, I don't know him, but I had one encounter and I was on the tour bus.
spk_0
I went on a tour with Florida Georgia Line, and we can talk about that.
spk_0
That's wild.
spk_0
Which side are you on?
spk_0
I'm just joking.
spk_0
spk_0
This is, this is, that's fine.
spk_0
That'll be fine.
spk_0
Florida Georgia, but I was, that was their last tour.
spk_0
And Morgune was opener and Dana Shea.
spk_0
I remember this tour.
spk_0
I remember this tour.
spk_0
Yeah, it's insane.
spk_0
That's a wild line.
spk_0
Think about those openers.
spk_0
Dana Shea and Morgune.
spk_0
And Morgune walks on the bus and I'm saying there and he's like,
spk_0
it's right, right the entrance of the bus.
spk_0
And he's like, are you Chris Tom?
spk_0
I was like, yes, I am.
spk_0
And he's like, nice to meet you, man.
spk_0
Great music, because I was just now discovering everybody was.
spk_0
It's like great music.
spk_0
And he goes, my daddy, he sent me a video of yours just last week called,
spk_0
Izzy Worthy.
spk_0
I was like, yeah, he's tears, man.
spk_0
And just he just walked by.
spk_0
And he just walked on.
spk_0
That was my only, that was my only encounter.
spk_0
That's it.
spk_0
And I never saw him again.
spk_0
Disappeared into the.
spk_0
He did.
spk_0
He just like walked into it.
spk_0
Tears, man.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
What a legend.
spk_0
Spits a dip.
spk_0
And then like, no one else was there to witness it.
spk_0
And you're like, was Morgan?
spk_0
You're like, he wasn't here.
spk_0
Wait, he wasn't here?
spk_0
I'm pretty sure.
spk_0
That's amazing.
spk_0
It was so good.
spk_0
He's gone, dude.
spk_0
Yeah, that's like, I think the funny thing about it, because
spk_0
Morgan is is a group and church.
spk_0
Right.
spk_0
And a lot of, I think a lot of,
spk_0
I have a joke about this in my show, but a lot of people are like,
spk_0
you know, they kind of looking for
spk_0
clues as as if to see if that person is on the team.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
You know what I'm saying?
spk_0
Like, yeah, you go, yeah, he go, I think Thomas Rhett
spk_0
is a believer.
spk_0
You know, I know it.
spk_0
I do know him.
spk_0
Now he is, but you go,
spk_0
this guy, a Republican, the Democrats like to do that too,
spk_0
because he looks at people like to, and you go, I think that guy.
spk_0
And we like to do it.
spk_0
My mother, the joke in my show is my mother likes to do,
spk_0
watch the reality TV shows, and she Googles whose Christian,
spk_0
because we're cheering for Samantha.
spk_0
You know, like, like, why?
spk_0
She has a Jesus fish on her car.
spk_0
Like, all right, we, but we're always looking for that.
spk_0
Like, you go, I don't know.
spk_0
Did I pretty sure that guy's, or even if he's gone a little bit
spk_0
wayward, you like, no, no, I know it's in there.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's in there.
spk_0
He's on the team.
spk_0
Yeah, I was going to ask you about how there is a lot of,
spk_0
I guess people are trying it in this subculture that we are in.
spk_0
People are trying to look to people to follow, right?
spk_0
And then you got guys, obviously,
spk_0
as long as we've been around moral failures of this,
spk_0
and this and that, and maybe not even moral failures,
spk_0
but sometimes going,
spk_0
theologically, in a direction where everybody's trying to
spk_0
piece together in the, if Caleb kind of goes,
spk_0
we're with him, then you go, I guess, we're with him.
spk_0
And then you look at his Instagram,
spk_0
and we're like, this doesn't seem like,
spk_0
yeah, yeah, it's on the team.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Is that makes sense?
spk_0
That question makes sense.
spk_0
A lot of people, and you're, everybody's trying to follow,
spk_0
oh, this guy's doing Christian music,
spk_0
but now he's switching over, and there's a lot of uncertainty.
spk_0
How do you engage that and listen into someone's music?
spk_0
Is that question makes sense?
spk_0
I know, not sure it makes sense.
spk_0
I've got to ask you this break it down.
spk_0
Yeah, I'll ask you this way.
spk_0
Like, you go, oh, this guy seems like this guy's a follower of Jesus,
spk_0
from this music.
spk_0
Yeah, I feel the spirit when I listen to this music.
spk_0
Then, you know, a person would get on a fight,
spk_0
getting a fight with somebody on Instagram,
spk_0
or they were posting something, you're like, well, this doesn't.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I think social media is just the worst thing ever happened.
spk_0
You know, because it kind of brings the true thing.
spk_0
spk_0
And good or bad, you know?
spk_0
And it kind of comes out, I think.
spk_0
But yeah, I mean, it's hard to know from,
spk_0
it's hard to exactly know to from social media, right?
spk_0
How to judge somebody these days,
spk_0
because it's just all over the place,
spk_0
and you're only getting a certain kind of thing.
spk_0
But yeah, but the music, you know, it's interesting days, I think.
spk_0
And especially when it comes to fight.
spk_0
It's what would you say?
spk_0
It's interesting days.
spk_0
Oh, interesting days, okay.
spk_0
It comes to faith and being someone who's trying to,
spk_0
trying to hopefully, whatever platform you've been giving.
spk_0
Please use that Mac platform in the best way you can.
spk_0
But I guess in the 80s, somebody could be,
spk_0
like, I guess if you read the amazing grace,
spk_0
you're like, oh, I didn't know that guy that wrote it,
spk_0
but this seems like it is carrying the weight of something greater.
spk_0
And we didn't even, we didn't, that's,
spk_0
before the 90s, we didn't know any of these people.
spk_0
We didn't know, they could have been alcoholics,
spk_0
they could have been cheating on their wives.
spk_0
We had no idea.
spk_0
He told me not.
spk_0
And that no idea.
spk_0
Yeah, but that's God's grace, right?
spk_0
That he can take some just complete craziness
spk_0
and of all of our failures and do something amazing with it, you know?
spk_0
I mean, that's, I mean, he speak, he speak of amazing grace.
spk_0
I mean, John Newton wrote that song,
spk_0
and he was a slave trader and a horrible person.
spk_0
And he would, he would have said, obviously God saved him.
spk_0
He turned his life around.
spk_0
And that was the poem he wrote, which is incredible.
spk_0
Never thinking it would be a song.
spk_0
And it becomes probably, you know, I would say happy birthday
spk_0
and amazing grace.
spk_0
It's almost a popular song in the world.
spk_0
But he wrote that.
spk_0
He never thought that Chris Tomlund would be singing in a Bristol.
spk_0
Years later.
spk_0
And he's like, I have a plan for this song.
spk_0
This is going to be a thing called NASCAR.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Well, you know, I was going to ask you about this.
spk_0
This is, and is, is there
spk_0
what is to be said?
spk_0
And you included, by the way, what is to be said about a lot of these worship leaders?
spk_0
Very attractive.
spk_0
Very attractive.
spk_0
You talk about all of the guys with, with number ones are,
spk_0
Phil Wickham, you.
spk_0
I'm not in these, I'm not in the quarry.
spk_0
I'm not in this league.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Brand and Lake.
spk_0
These guys.
spk_0
John Chris, let's talk about the comedians out there.
spk_0
Very attractive.
spk_0
I mean, beautiful comedian.
spk_0
Let's talk about these guys.
spk_0
No, comedian actually needs to look, look,
spk_0
like not good.
spk_0
You can't get too cool.
spk_0
Yeah, we need to look like the every man.
spk_0
Like the artist and the athletes,
spk_0
they need to look like, you know,
spk_0
they're above a comedian's got to look regular.
spk_0
Regular.
spk_0
Just like when you go on stage,
spk_0
you can't work to something too flashy.
spk_0
You're probably the same in the faith.
spk_0
100%.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
You can imagine me.
spk_0
She looks like, like, let's see.
spk_0
ACDC or like this?
spk_0
What's your, yeah.
spk_0
Just the thing that's got some,
spk_0
some bling on it, I just, not me.
spk_0
You wonder, I can't wear the Rolex.
spk_0
I'd like to see you push the limit a little bit though.
spk_0
That'd be fun.
spk_0
What's that?
spk_0
I'd like to see you push the limit a little bit,
spk_0
wardrobe-wise.
spk_0
You wear Rolex.
spk_0
Find the line, you know?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
No, I'm not doing it.
spk_0
Well, there's all that with it.
spk_0
No, absolutely not.
spk_0
No, no, no.
spk_0
What do you think?
spk_0
I've often found myself in defense of
spk_0
CCM and Christian music when, you know,
spk_0
have you ever seen all that controversy about like,
spk_0
you know, elevation, it's cost $600 to attend this concert?
spk_0
I'm like, well, yeah,
spk_0
they got a rent the arena.
spk_0
It's crazy too.
spk_0
I go, what are they supposed to do?
spk_0
It's a supply and demand.
spk_0
If a bunch of people vinyl on the secondary market.
spk_0
It's crazy, man.
spk_0
It's, yeah, that's the whole thing.
spk_0
Thanks for, you know, thanks for speaking up on that.
spk_0
But yeah, and most people like I've defended it in a lifetime.
spk_0
No, and you know how this works.
spk_0
And what people don't know is most of those ticket prices aren't
spk_0
what elevation is charging.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Not even close.
spk_0
It's just the whatever they take.
spk_0
It's not going to any of us.
spk_0
No, it goes to Risa.
spk_0
Yeah, it's Risa.
spk_0
It's going to the person who bought the ticket for $85
spk_0
and now they're selling it for $400.
spk_0
And, you know, that's the way it worked.
spk_0
And then you get blamed or whatever.
spk_0
But it's a crazy thing out there in that world.
spk_0
And we do our very, very best to keep it as like,
spk_0
I want everybody in the world to get in that one.
spk_0
And listen, I know a little bit about how much it costs
spk_0
to rent bridgestone arena.
spk_0
It's very expensive.
spk_0
Very, very expensive.
spk_0
And you can go to the elevation for free on Sunday, if you want.
spk_0
That's all I think.
spk_0
And once they start charging for that,
spk_0
we might have another one.
spk_0
And cover charge.
spk_0
Yeah, they might have an issue.
spk_0
Hey, for parking out front.
spk_0
That's true.
spk_0
That's true.
spk_0
Have you ever
spk_0
five bucks for communion?
spk_0
Five bucks for you.
spk_0
Yeah, I love bringing it to you to deliver it.
spk_0
Have you ever been in a right
spk_0
and like, you know, everyone's very Christian
spk_0
and everybody's uplifting?
spk_0
You've ever been like,
spk_0
guys, this is a bad song.
spk_0
Like you're in the mid, you know what I'm saying?
spk_0
You're in the middle of a thing and you go,
spk_0
like if you write hits,
spk_0
there has to be some that don't make it.
spk_0
There's a lot.
spk_0
There's a lot.
spk_0
That's not that there's way more that don't make it.
spk_0
But are you the guy that says,
spk_0
or you just kind of let it play out in the right session?
spk_0
I let it play out.
spk_0
You I'm just my personality.
spk_0
I just let it play out.
spk_0
There's a guy's hair.
spk_0
I'm knowing there's no chance.
spk_0
Chance to see the lot of day.
spk_0
This will save no one.
spk_0
This will save nobody.
spk_0
That's hilarious.
spk_0
No, I re-recant my faith after here.
spk_0
No one's come forward.
spk_0
No one's coming.
spk_0
No one's coming.
spk_0
No, no, no.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, you say yeah, because we've had a bunch of artists in here.
spk_0
Sometimes they go, guys,
spk_0
it's going in a new direction.
spk_0
It's going to be a new drink.
spk_0
You never do that.
spk_0
No.
spk_0
That's like, that's awesome, guys.
spk_0
This is great.
spk_0
You just, he's gassed it up.
spk_0
I just love this.
spk_0
This is amazing.
spk_0
The best thing I've ever heard.
spk_0
That's an interesting way to do it.
spk_0
And you know.
spk_0
The best thing I've ever heard.
spk_0
You know when you're inside.
spk_0
Yeah, that's like I'm not feeling this.
spk_0
I'm not feeling this.
spk_0
Well, honestly,
spk_0
and I mean it's truly,
spk_0
I mean I most of the,
spk_0
most of the time it's,
spk_0
it's, there's never anything.
spk_0
It's like, oh, that's not bad.
spk_0
But, but it's, it's, it's crazy.
spk_0
Like things that I thought, oh,
spk_0
I'm not sure how this is going to go.
spk_0
This is not great.
spk_0
And you just keep going and keep going.
spk_0
And I'll say something comes from it.
spk_0
Something comes from it.
spk_0
It turns into something else.
spk_0
Usually, usually for me in the,
spk_0
in the songs.
spk_0
But yeah, there's a lot of times where
spk_0
just in the kind of room going,
spk_0
hmm.
spk_0
And do you know,
spk_0
any of the guys,
spk_0
the big guys that will go this bad?
spk_0
Or does everybody in Christian music just kind of?
spk_0
Um, that's it.
spk_0
spk_0
we, I haven't had any,
spk_0
I haven't been in a room with too many people.
spk_0
It's like this is bad.
spk_0
I haven't been in, uh,
spk_0
when I was writing with,
spk_0
it's funny when I was doing some of the country stuff.
spk_0
When I did the Chris Talon and friend stuff.
spk_0
When I was writing with Thomas,
spk_0
Rhett and Tyler Hubbard in those guys
spk_0
in the country thing.
spk_0
And that was so fun.
spk_0
Because there's a whole new world for me,
spk_0
you know, stepping into that.
spk_0
And it was,
spk_0
it was different.
spk_0
It was so fast.
spk_0
It was like an idea to come.
spk_0
What about this?
spk_0
No.
spk_0
What about this?
spk_0
No, don't like that.
spk_0
Really?
spk_0
spk_0
It was like boom, boom, boom.
spk_0
Oh,
spk_0
they've used to one ideas.
spk_0
And they're so quick like, no, no, I'm not into that.
spk_0
What do you think that's so different over there?
spk_0
I don't know.
spk_0
I don't, I don't know.
spk_0
I think different.
spk_0
Different.
spk_0
That's a good question.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
It's a good question.
spk_0
I wonder if they,
spk_0
personalities, I guess,
spk_0
personality wise.
spk_0
And it's a,
spk_0
a bit different approach, I think.
spk_0
A little bit different approach to
spk_0
a song, then
spk_0
you're writing a country song versus writing a worship song
spk_0
to completely,
spk_0
a song of worship is a completely different approach.
spk_0
It's probably hard to say no to an idea when somebody's like,
spk_0
God put this on the heart.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Well, God told me.
spk_0
Those are the words.
spk_0
No, no, no.
spk_0
I'm thankful I don't have any friends.
spk_0
They're like, hey, God,
spk_0
gave me this idea because what do you set?
spk_0
You're like, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
spk_0
it's like, okay.
spk_0
All right, I guess that's what we're doing.
spk_0
Let's keep it for your ears too.
spk_0
For your ears.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
God.
spk_0
I wonder if there's any,
spk_0
you're wrong.
spk_0
I wonder if there's any,
spk_0
a song when you come in there to guys,
spk_0
maybe like,
spk_0
you know, put down the drinks.
spk_0
They're like, hey, Chris Thomas.
spk_0
They weren't, hey, guys,
spk_0
we're not smoking because Tomlins in here.
spk_0
No, they don't.
spk_0
They don't.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
They're like, hey, we're, hey, we writing,
spk_0
everybody's drinking.
spk_0
All right, let's, let's write a Christian one.
spk_0
Guys, we got to clean the side.
spk_0
They don't.
spk_0
Get the zin pouches out of here.
spk_0
We're writing with Chris Tomlins.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
No.
spk_0
Everybody's got their own journey.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That's right.
spk_0
Well, it is, I wonder what's the,
spk_0
the, like a lot of, you see a lot of
spk_0
the Christian artists,
spk_0
especially here in Nashville,
spk_0
making country music.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And a lot of the country artists
spk_0
who also see making Christian music.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Well, it's just so interesting
spk_0
because it's so much,
spk_0
it's so close in the sense of most,
spk_0
ever, most of both sides have come up
spk_0
in the same place, you know, in the church.
spk_0
And they're coming from,
spk_0
coming from that place.
spk_0
There's a,
spk_0
there's a real common thing there.
spk_0
And a most music, right,
spk_0
comes from the church.
spk_0
Let's just be honest.
spk_0
Most, most every artist,
spk_0
comes from that.
spk_0
Most of them.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Not to start.
spk_0
That's where you start.
spk_0
spk_0
But, you know, for me,
spk_0
it was the craziest thing.
spk_0
And I just, I'll tell that story real quick
spk_0
because I wasn't looking for it.
spk_0
I wasn't, when I did the Christalman
spk_0
and friends of them,
spk_0
I wasn't even honest,
spk_0
honest to God.
spk_0
It's honestly going to be,
spk_0
I was not trying to do that.
spk_0
It was not a part of the plan.
spk_0
I, oh, this would be a great idea
spk_0
if I connected all these
spk_0
countries.
spk_0
I was simply, I started this thing
spk_0
called Good Friday in Nashville
spk_0
at Bridgestone.
spk_0
And the first person I wanted to do it
spk_0
with me, I wanted to have a surprise
spk_0
guest every time.
spk_0
It's a country artist.
spk_0
It would be really cool.
spk_0
That's a faith.
spk_0
That'd be a surprise for people.
spk_0
People like, oh, I didn't know who
spk_0
is on our team.
spk_0
Yeah, well, it's on the team.
spk_0
That kind of moment.
spk_0
You know, it was like, bring it,
spk_0
bring out that people wouldn't see coming.
spk_0
And if I wrote this letter to
spk_0
Thomas Rett's manager,
spk_0
did not know Thomas Rett,
spk_0
but had clues that he was on the team.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And, and, and,
spk_0
and, but, I wrote to the
spk_0
Rottesman, wrote to the manager
spk_0
and said, I'm doing this thing
spk_0
with Thomas, do a song with me.
spk_0
No response.
spk_0
Completely ghosted zero.
spk_0
And so, I get on stage that,
spk_0
that four soundcheck that day,
spk_0
four good Friday.
spk_0
And, I walk off stage.
spk_0
It's on, it's on good Friday,
spk_0
on the day, I'm on average,
spk_0
so I walk off stage,
spk_0
I have to soundcheck him.
spk_0
My road manager grabs me and says,
spk_0
Hey, Thomas Rett wants to talk to you.
spk_0
He's backstage.
spk_0
And I'm just like, what?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
So, I went back there and he goes,
spk_0
man, I heard your voice over the PA
spk_0
and I just, I was rehearsing over
spk_0
at the annex and I just wanted to come
spk_0
and tell you, you know,
spk_0
how much your music has meant to me for so long
spk_0
and it's just, I've always loved your songs
spk_0
and I was like, bro,
spk_0
I try to get you to play this night with me.
spk_0
I wrote you a letter, he goes, you did?
spk_0
And I was like, yes.
spk_0
One of those things, you know,
spk_0
good manager keeps it away, you know.
spk_0
And so, like, and so,
spk_0
I was like, he goes, no way.
spk_0
And he goes, well, we should
spk_0
write some songs together.
spk_0
I was like, yeah.
spk_0
So then, so the next day,
spk_0
he sends me B.L.I.,
spk_0
which I did with him and Keith and
spk_0
Reba and all the things.
spk_0
And then, the next week,
spk_0
I'm at it, I'm down at 38.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
38.
spk_0
And I was on VK,
spk_0
he's my family,
spk_0
the tour hit in.
spk_0
Yeah, to be Christian together.
spk_0
He got to be.
spk_0
Yeah, that's part of it.
spk_0
He got to be.
spk_0
And I'm in the gym working out,
spk_0
do a little workout.
spk_0
There's only one other person in there.
spk_0
And it's Tyler Hubbard.
spk_0
And I was like, okay.
spk_0
So I was like, God told me.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
So I just walked up and I said,
spk_0
hey, man, I'm Chris Tommel.
spk_0
And he's like, no way.
spk_0
I was like, yeah.
spk_0
He goes, and he said,
spk_0
your Christian, I was like, yeah, he goes, oh, man.
spk_0
He goes, this is so great.
spk_0
We're running into you.
spk_0
He goes, I wanted to,
spk_0
he goes, I want to be with you.
spk_0
And I was in the, when I was in the eighth grade.
spk_0
And I was like, oh, fantastic.
spk_0
And he's like, and he said,
spk_0
he said, man, no really.
spk_0
He goes, I love worship my youth group.
spk_0
And then he goes, I can tell you,
spk_0
this is all in 30 seconds of meeting him.
spk_0
This is just, he goes, and I can tell you exactly
spk_0
we're outstanding at,
spk_0
at Bridge Donorian Nashville,
spk_0
this conference called Passion.
spk_0
I was a college student.
spk_0
And I was in there.
spk_0
And I was standing there and I,
spk_0
and I, he were up there playing.
spk_0
I thought, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
spk_0
And he goes, and then I get to,
spk_0
a Belmont start doing this,
spk_0
Bible study, and with this guy named BK,
spk_0
and we started doing this thing at Belmont.
spk_0
And we're, we're leading worship on ways he nights.
spk_0
And we're also riding country songs.
spk_0
And also, and the country thing,
spk_0
obviously blew up and that's been a thing.
spk_0
And he goes, man, my, I've just,
spk_0
fame and all the things.
spk_0
My, I've just swerved all around with my faith.
spk_0
But God's brought me back to this.
spk_0
Unbelievable place.
spk_0
I feel like so close.
spk_0
And he goes, and I walk in here,
spk_0
and you're staying here.
spk_0
I know God's speaking to me.
spk_0
And I think we're supposed to ride some songs.
spk_0
And I'm just like, this isn't one week.
spk_0
I did, last week was Tom's.
spk_0
This week, I was like, what's going on?
spk_0
Wow.
spk_0
And I didn't think I would hear from him again.
spk_0
And we exchanged numbers.
spk_0
It was one of those, maybe this is a nice moment.
spk_0
The next morning, he's like, hey,
spk_0
what are you doing?
spk_0
I was like, well, with my kids, he's like,
spk_0
let's, let's go.
spk_0
And so we just say, he's, let's smash this thing up
spk_0
and ride some songs.
spk_0
And so that was an amazing,
spk_0
amazing moment in season in my life and music.
spk_0
That didn't see coming.
spk_0
So we just kind of wrote all these songs
spk_0
and made demos of them and then thought,
spk_0
we should put this out in some way.
spk_0
And then you can imagine the nightmare.
spk_0
That was for record labels.
spk_0
Like that.
spk_0
Dark New World.
spk_0
What?
spk_0
Who's featuring?
spk_0
Who's featuring who?
spk_0
Who owns this?
spk_0
And like, oh, it was a nightmare.
spk_0
Y'all figured out.
spk_0
So anyway, that was really fun.
spk_0
But I just say all that, say,
spk_0
it was not a manager's got together,
spk_0
labels got together and go, you know what,
spk_0
we really cool.
spk_0
You know, it would really be like a hip.
spk_0
It was just, I really feel.
spk_0
That happened.
spk_0
God just put together and like, it wasn't looking for it.
spk_0
That's beautiful.
spk_0
So cool.
spk_0
That's an only way.
spk_0
How weird is that for you to be in a position
spk_0
where an established artist like him
spk_0
will come up to and speak to you that way?
spk_0
I could not believe it.
spk_0
And that's what I didn't, he said,
spk_0
coming back to our first conversation,
spk_0
he goes, I'll never forget this.
spk_0
Tyler says, there's two people.
spk_0
I'll tell you all the time,
spk_0
two influences in my life and music.
spk_0
Garth Brooks and Chris Tomman.
spk_0
And I was like, what?
spk_0
I mean, I just could not believe that.
spk_0
I was like, what are you talking about?
spk_0
I wouldn't know how to dream that.
spk_0
Because for me,
spk_0
Florida, Georgia, Lyme was the party,
spk_0
you know, the party band.
spk_0
I mean, it's like, they would,
spk_0
I wouldn't even think he would know who I was.
spk_0
That's why I went up and say, hey, I'm Chris Tomman.
spk_0
I'm a musician.
spk_0
And he's like, oh, I know.
spk_0
And it's, wow.
spk_0
So it was really crazy.
spk_0
A cruise.
spk_0
You kind of, yeah.
spk_0
I mean, you're credited there.
spk_0
It's not so, you should have said,
spk_0
you're not not credited.
spk_0
spk_0
It sounds like credit.
spk_0
We've done, yeah.
spk_0
We've done some writing things recently.
spk_0
I mean, I mean,
spk_0
we've done some like songwriting rounds,
spk_0
you know, or you'll do like a,
spk_0
for a charity or something.
spk_0
And since we become friends,
spk_0
and it's hilarious.
spk_0
We'll go from cruise to how great is our God.
spk_0
It's quiet.
spk_0
It's quite a set, you know, what?
spk_0
You don't know what to do.
spk_0
You don't know who to live in.
spk_0
We call it Saturday night.
spk_0
We call it Saturday night Sunday morning.
spk_0
You know, it's like, okay, let's go Saturday night.
spk_0
Saturday night.
spk_0
We'll go Saturday night and tell her to go away to do it.
spk_0
That's really it.
spk_0
We'll go back to Sunday morning.
spk_0
It was, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, it doesn't tell me.
spk_0
I mean, if you had like,
spk_0
if you had a collab with like Big X the plug,
spk_0
I would be like, that seems like a stretch.
spk_0
But, or like, I don't know.
spk_0
He's doing a lot of country collabs.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
You're like, well, that,
spk_0
but Chris, Thomas Rhett, Chris Thomas collett,
spk_0
you go, yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Makes sense.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
But even back then, when I was writing that letter,
spk_0
trying to get to, I didn't know.
spk_0
That's great.
spk_0
Why he didn't respond?
spk_0
Because it was a letter.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
I mean, it was email.
spk_0
Oh, I think you wrote him a letter.
spk_0
You wonder, no one gets it.
spk_0
It's true.
spk_0
It was 2020, bro.
spk_0
He doesn't have a post office.
spk_0
He doesn't have a post office.
spk_0
He doesn't have a post office.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
spk_0
Why?
spk_0
It was just a wild journey to write music.
spk_0
Cause yeah, you do in that sense,
spk_0
no one's going to say none of those guys are definitely not going to say your idea is bad.
spk_0
In the writers room.
spk_0
No, they will.
spk_0
They will.
spk_0
Very much so.
spk_0
They will.
spk_0
They are the most straight up.
spk_0
Yes, they're like, yeah, it's not great.
spk_0
I mean, that's a, I don't know.
spk_0
Yeah, that's such a sort of muscle that that odds in the faith have.
spk_0
I got.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
But I had an idea recently.
spk_0
I had an idea when I first brought to them and we, and they were like, they just all stared at me.
spk_0
And I was like, and then recently we got together right again.
spk_0
And I felt like I said, I'm going to pull that back out.
spk_0
That's it.
spk_0
I said it again.
spk_0
Oh, the same one.
spk_0
Same one.
spk_0
And they're like, that's insane.
spk_0
They're like, that's amazing.
spk_0
I knew it.
spk_0
I knew it.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
Oh, well, well.
spk_0
That's a good one.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I'll go ahead of you.
spk_0
Don't worry about it.
spk_0
Go ahead.
spk_0
Run it back.
spk_0
Well, I guess it is a, it's a different like at the end of the day, it is a different motive.
spk_0
Like with it with the, with the, well, I don't know.
spk_0
Is there a difference between a worship song and a Christian song?
spk_0
Mm-hmm.
spk_0
Nice.
spk_0
Ooh.
spk_0
Um, that's a great question.
spk_0
I don't know about that.
spk_0
I just know I can tell you the, I can tell you when I'm coming from, from my songs in
spk_0
a worship song.
spk_0
And that is, again, it is an, it is unique in the sense of a worship song should completely
spk_0
point you to, I mean, it's obvious, but it should point you to worship to God.
spk_0
And it's not a story song.
spk_0
It's not about, it's not about, oh, I want to tell you a story about this or what's going
spk_0
on in my life, you know, but there are, I'll say there's, and when it comes to worship,
spk_0
there's really two kinds of, there's two kinds of songs I see.
spk_0
And this is getting a little bit, um, dive in deep, but, um, there's, I always say, because
spk_0
I look at the scriptures, right?
spk_0
And there's songs of transcendence and songs of deliverance.
spk_0
And what I mean by that is, is most of the songs, most of our songs, amazing grace,
spk_0
would be a song of deliverance.
spk_0
I, they saved a wretch like me.
spk_0
I, I need, Lord, I need you.
spk_0
I, I, I'm longing for you.
spk_0
I need you.
spk_0
A lot of the songs are that David wrote, you know, I'm in a tough place.
spk_0
Lord, I'm crying out to you.
spk_0
But then there's those songs of transcendence, which is a holy, holy, holy, the, those
spk_0
songs that are just completely, uh, there, that's, and that, those, that's the biggest
spk_0
distinct, distinctive of a worship song above all of the music.
spk_0
It's those songs because they take you to a place of like, there's nothing about me.
spk_0
It's nothing about any of us in this.
spk_0
This is about something so much greater and pointing us to something so much greater.
spk_0
I mean, pop doesn't do that.
spk_0
Hip hop doesn't, country doesn't do that.
spk_0
Even Christian music doesn't do that.
spk_0
But worship in these, those kind of songs, like what kind of songs?
spk_0
A holy, holy, holy song that is lower, God almighty, that one.
spk_0
You are, it's nothing about your personal struggles.
spk_0
It's nothing about our experience.
spk_0
Yeah, it's just like, it's worship.
spk_0
Yes, yes, yes.
spk_0
When I wrote, um, how great is our God, right?
spk_0
That's just about, there's, my God, the latest song, yeah, holy forever, that touches,
spk_0
there's something about it that touches that kind of, what I call the eternal song of praise,
spk_0
that the scripture says that they're in revelation.
spk_0
It says that there's a never ending song, which is amazing.
spk_0
It says that day and night, they never stop singing holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty
spk_0
who was and is and is to come.
spk_0
That is the, so when you kind of touch into that, I know it's super spiritual, but like,
spk_0
when you're touching into that kind of song of the people singing and around the, of people
spk_0
singing and connecting in that way, that's a distinctive marker among any music, right?
spk_0
You know, and that's what I'm always trying to strive for in songs and it's hopefully
spk_0
people connecting that way because I have found, I have found those songs, they change the
spk_0
room every time.
spk_0
There's, there's something about those songs where people are, they just engage in a different
spk_0
way because you're like collectively going, okay, this is, this is, I'm reminded of the
spk_0
greater story I'm in.
spk_0
I'm in a bigger story.
spk_0
This is small kingdom.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I'm in a small kingdom down here in my little small kingdom in my small world.
spk_0
There's a bigger one going on and pointing people to that.
spk_0
I, I feel like when I, when I hear you say that, I feel like a lot of people are age.
spk_0
I'm 41.
spk_0
Alex is younger than me, but like, there's a lot of people that are disgruntled by the
spk_0
faith or maybe like this pastor has a private jet or, you know, all the, all the common
spk_0
complaints we hear all the time.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And then I feel like you hear one of those and you go, gosh, I can't put it down.
spk_0
I can't, you know, everybody like, if you, I've talked about this all the time at the
spk_0
comedy club, you go to the comedy club, open mic tonight, there's 20 comedians, 18
spk_0
of them will have a joke about Jesus.
spk_0
Not, not in support.
spk_0
Right.
spk_0
Okay.
spk_0
But it's like, we all grew up this way and you may be your pastor, embezzled money or
spk_0
you needed $85 million for a church or whatever that kind of sends people in it.
spk_0
But then neck, I feel like all the comics, like there's no jokes about a Buddha.
spk_0
I feel like all of us can't really lay our heads down and be like, I, or throwing all
spk_0
that out.
spk_0
Does that make sense?
spk_0
And then you go and then you hear like, 100%.
spk_0
Go, you, you, you, you either walk past a funeral or there's a, and you go, oh, yeah.
spk_0
And you reminded of those, whatever that feeling is, and you go, they got to be something
spk_0
to that.
spk_0
There's got to be something to that.
spk_0
100% sense.
spk_0
That makes complete sense.
spk_0
And you go, you just can't, like I feel like a lot of people that grew up in the faith
spk_0
can't put it to rest, meaning like I want to leave.
spk_0
I want to, I'm so mad at my parents.
spk_0
I'm mad at the culture.
spk_0
I'm mad at a numerous things that are all valid.
spk_0
And we go, all right, well then throw it all out then.
spk_0
And they're just like, yeah, but I think it's true.
spk_0
spk_0
They're not saying that out loud.
spk_0
I'm verbalizing what I, what they go.
spk_0
Jesus is, is, is, there's consequence, right?
spk_0
There he is the most important figure that's ever walked the earth and you have to, you
spk_0
have to route, you have to wrestle with that.
spk_0
And everybody has to at some point, you have to do something with that.
spk_0
They have to deal with that.
spk_0
You can't say, well, I'm not going to make a judgment on that because it's impossible.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
You're making a judgment with the other and it's, and you have to come to terms with that.
spk_0
And that's, and yeah, and there's those moments where you're just, when you're just reminded
spk_0
of that we are in a greater, we're in a greater kingdom.
spk_0
We're part of a greater story.
spk_0
And you know, I've got interestingly, man, you say that and I have a song on this album
spk_0
that is the most probably most surprised song that I've ever, probably surprised title
spk_0
that would ever come from me.
spk_0
It's called Help My Unbelief.
spk_0
And when you think of my songs, it's, how great is our God, holy forever, we fall down
spk_0
and go, good father.
spk_0
These things that are like, I'm pushing people to God.
spk_0
And then a title like this, Help My Unbelief and you know, and people might see that and
spk_0
go, oh no, what's happened to Chris.
spk_0
But we lost him.
spk_0
We lost him.
spk_0
We lost him.
spk_0
Yeah, I thought I thought he was there.
spk_0
But it's, it's this incredible.
spk_0
Tyler Hubbard brought this.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
I'm just joking.
spk_0
He's our buddy.
spk_0
He's our buddy.
spk_0
He's been here before.
spk_0
Tyler's been here before.
spk_0
He's our best friend.
spk_0
And Help My Unbelief and it comes from this incredible passage that I think what kind
spk_0
of speaks, what you're talking about a little bit in the sense of, and I'll just say it
spk_0
briefly that because I, people, I think this, this will mean something to people.
spk_0
Because this is in the Bible.
spk_0
This is what's amazing is you hear this song, you're like, wow, what's that?
spk_0
What are we trying to say?
spk_0
There's this dad whose son needs healing.
spk_0
And he gets in front of Jesus and he found Jesus is coming to his town and he will do
spk_0
anything to get in front of Jesus.
spk_0
His son is in a bad place and he comes and he says, um, he said, Jesus, would you have
spk_0
mercy on us?
spk_0
And if you can, would you heal my son?
spk_0
And Jesus says this, what do you mean if I can?
spk_0
All things are possible for those who believe, which is the bumper sticker, right?
spk_0
Let's be honest.
spk_0
That's the thing we put on the back of our car.
spk_0
That should be the title.
spk_0
All things are possible for that.
spk_0
That's the song you'd think I'd write.
spk_0
And then the dad says this, I do believe, but help my unbelief.
spk_0
And who hasn't been there in the struggle of life of the powerful and the struggle of
spk_0
life?
spk_0
And what I love is that Jesus didn't go, well, you don't, you don't 100% believe.
spk_0
So I'm moving on to the next, next kid.
spk_0
Oh, you don't believe I'm next.
spk_0
Yeah, he said, help me.
spk_0
And Jesus heals that child.
spk_0
And I think that there's something powerful about that because there's a, there's a
spk_0
hope in that that that's where all of us are.
spk_0
Always say, if you haven't been there, you haven't lived long enough because life is hard.
spk_0
It's unfair.
spk_0
It comes out in hard ways.
spk_0
And you'll find yourself there.
spk_0
But that's why a song like that is so powerful.
spk_0
And, you know, it ends with, um, I end the song with it as well.
spk_0
Um, it as well, it as well with my soul.
spk_0
And because I think that's, I think that's the best to him ever written with amazing
spk_0
grace.
spk_0
It as well.
spk_0
But that, that, the story that even that hymn comes from that it's the most unbelievable
spk_0
story of a song ever written.
spk_0
And it comes from, yeah, and it comes from that place that, um, of a hard, hard, hard place,
spk_0
of unbelief in the midst of, you know, it just is questioning in the midst of great pain.
spk_0
And it's such a, well, it's such a, uh, it's such a simple prayer.
spk_0
Help me with my unbelief.
spk_0
It's like he's not, he's like, I'm doing my best here.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
You know, it's not.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And it reminds me, you know, it reminds me the scripture says when you're weak, God is
spk_0
strong.
spk_0
In your weakness, God's strength is perfect.
spk_0
Not when you're strong, he's strong.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Like when you are weak, then his strength is perfect.
spk_0
And that's what that's saying.
spk_0
Lord, I believe, but I do believe, but there's some struggle at me right now.
spk_0
And I just got it in.
spk_0
I just love that.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
It's that, that's not just a nice little lyric, but that's Rodic from God's word, you
spk_0
know?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Well, then the best in that, the best worship set you could be a part of is, is an essence
spk_0
you being out of the way.
spk_0
100%.
spk_0
Right?
spk_0
100%.
spk_0
That would be the goal.
spk_0
That is the goal.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
So it's then it's tricky if you like your face is on the billboard.
spk_0
You're like, yeah, but I'm trying to send you over there.
spk_0
Well, I wrote that in on the back of the crystalline friends record.
spk_0
When we said, let's get together.
spk_0
Right?
spk_0
The idea, the first idea I had is like, this is the song I want to write with you guys and
spk_0
it's called Be the Moon because I was, I was one of these, one of these interviews,
spk_0
not you, thankfully, but one of these interviews.
spk_0
This lady was trying to passive aggressive at me.
spk_0
And she said, you know, you talk about God, you're trying to lead people to God.
spk_0
It seems, it seems, but like the lights are on you, you're on a stage, people won't
spk_0
picture to you.
spk_0
You sign things.
spk_0
That's kind of weird.
spk_0
You're signing things and then you're telling about God, but then you're signing their
spk_0
shirts and that's kind of weird, isn't it?
spk_0
And I said, you know, I said, I guess it is, but I said, my job is just to be the moon.
spk_0
I don't know.
spk_0
I just, it's like, I think God is a download from heaven.
spk_0
I was like, because the moon has no light on its own, but it just reflects a greater light.
spk_0
And I was like, that's, that's, that's what I'm supposed to do.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And she was, well, we're about out of time.
spk_0
I was like, that, I don't have any comeback.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That's a good point.
spk_0
I was just, I just came from heaven because I was like, I felt kind of cornered in, but
spk_0
that's the truth, man.
spk_0
And that's, that's our place here on this earth is, I don't have a light of myself, but
spk_0
I'm hopefully, you know, it is funny when you think about the moon.
spk_0
Some days it's a full moon.
spk_0
Some days it's a barely a sliver.
spk_0
Some days behind the clouds, right?
spk_0
But the moon is, it's, it's a great example of our, what it needs with, when it, when
spk_0
Jesus said, you're the light of the world.
spk_0
And obviously we're reflecting His light, hopefully to this world.
spk_0
And man, I know you feel it.
spk_0
I know everybody senses it right now, but there is an insane, an insane difference of light
spk_0
and darkness right now.
spk_0
And, and you, it is everywhere I go, man, every Uber driver, I talk to when I'm on the
spk_0
road on tour.
spk_0
I'm just like in an Uber and I just like, hey, how you doing?
spk_0
And there it's like, and it's just real.
spk_0
And it feels more, it feels like no more, we're not playing games anymore right now.
spk_0
And, and it's, anyway, that's, didn't mean to get off on that, but that's a, it's,
spk_0
it's, yeah, I like that.
spk_0
Well, I like that it is, you just, like we, we talked about this on the pod last week,
spk_0
we talked about Charlie Kirk in, in, at length.
spk_0
And we said, well, what is our, which kind of, we go, what is our battle?
spk_0
Is it, is it, is it, is it Republicans versus Democrats?
spk_0
So it can't be that because there's a lot of people on the right that are wild and a lot
spk_0
of people on the left that are wild.
spk_0
It can't be that.
spk_0
Well, is it Christian versus non-Christian?
spk_0
We're like, well, there's, you know, Christians protesting military funerals and pastors.
spk_0
You're like, it can't be that.
spk_0
It's, and the more I tell you, it's just evil.
spk_0
And the more you try to explain it or, or put a motivation around just evil.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And it's, it is all, it's very present.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
In front of everybody.
spk_0
And you do hear in the face of all that, you, you see, like the, the message of Jesus
spk_0
was always, are you, are you the way?
spk_0
And he's like, well, a seed falls by the river.
spk_0
And you're like, what?
spk_0
And you know what I'm saying?
spk_0
It was very like, almost like you're walking by a Christian bookstore and you hear one
spk_0
of those and you go, gosh, it's just like kind of calling to you, you know what I'm saying?
spk_0
But you go, that's, yeah, that's the good side.
spk_0
I don't know, does that make sense?
spk_0
Yeah, totally.
spk_0
I was, you know, I had the opportunity to play at that memorial.
spk_0
I was asked to come play.
spk_0
I opened the, open the home morning and Erica reached out to our team and said, one of
spk_0
Charlie's favorite songs is How Great Is Our God?
spk_0
Would I come lead it?
spk_0
And I'm like, how can I not?
spk_0
You know, and how can I not do that?
spk_0
And to stand there and to sing those words and to sing a song, Holy Forever, which is
spk_0
says all thrones and dominions, all powers and positions, your name stands above them
spk_0
all.
spk_0
And I'm literally in front of me are all the powers and positions of this, of our nation
spk_0
and on this earth, our standing in front of me, including Elon over here and the Secretary
spk_0
State, the Vice President and RFK and then Trump's in the up in the, and I'm just like,
spk_0
in to say all, all powers and positions, your name stands above them all.
spk_0
It was quite like, there was a lot of clarity for me.
spk_0
I've never had that moment in my life, you know, of standing before the powers and positions
spk_0
of this earth and declaring, and it was beautiful because they were declaring it as well, not
spk_0
all of them, a lot of them, and some of them were.
spk_0
And it was so, it was so powerful.
spk_0
But yeah, I mean, you know, you, you go back to that, gosh, that thing you said earlier
spk_0
about, people have to make, people are like wrestling with, and they're happy.
spk_0
They have to connect everybody and it made me think just, just when you were talking,
spk_0
is the question of all questions when, when Jesus said to his followers, he took them
spk_0
to this place called Cessaria Philippi.
spk_0
He took his boys out there and he said, and this was the play also in that time was called
spk_0
Pan, which means many gods.
spk_0
And it was the place where all of the statues of all the different gods were kind of put
spk_0
up.
spk_0
And it was like this place of all the different gods.
spk_0
And it was in that place where he looked at them and he said, who do the people say that
spk_0
I am?
spk_0
And they were like, oh, some say you're this and some say this and some say this.
spk_0
And then he looked at him and said, who do you think I am?
spk_0
Who do you think I am?
spk_0
That's the question of all questions, right?
spk_0
That is the question of all questions of life.
spk_0
And that's what people and me, myself, have to wrestle with daily and everybody.
spk_0
And who do you say that I am?
spk_0
And because that is, that's the question.
spk_0
And if you are, you know, back to the show at Bristol, it's your favorite drivers about
spk_0
to be introduced.
spk_0
There's a kid with a mullet over here and then there's, there's so many things going
spk_0
on.
spk_0
And then it does, I always said this about my, the church that I grew up in.
spk_0
I was like, we, you know, we, it was the college ministry.
spk_0
Sometimes we would go in there to meet girls.
spk_0
And then there was like, they had food there.
spk_0
And there was like, yeah, however, or your buddy was driving, you're like, I guess I'll
spk_0
go with him.
spk_0
And then you got there and you did have to confront the Holy Spirit every time.
spk_0
Every time.
spk_0
And so like it might not be at Bristol outside with a bunch of things going on in a bouncy
spk_0
castle over here.
spk_0
It might not be as, but you still do.
spk_0
There's some, some, you still do.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And that's what's beautiful about it.
spk_0
It's like sometimes it is so like I would imagine up somebody, Bridgestone Arena, that's
spk_0
like working at the concession stand and they're like doing the popcorn and they go, gosh.
spk_0
You know, like, yeah, something about, you know, you don't have to confront anything
spk_0
if you had another type of concert sometimes.
spk_0
And you're like, oh, it's just entertainment.
spk_0
I understand what the exchange is.
spk_0
They're paying $35 for the songs they heard on the radio.
spk_0
There is something.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That if it's done well.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That you go, gosh.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I need to, and it's not, and it's confusing to someone because if someone was working
spk_0
at the concession stand, they would think if they weren't a believer that they need to
spk_0
meet you.
spk_0
Right.
spk_0
Right.
spk_0
Right.
spk_0
No, it's not.
spk_0
No, it's not.
spk_0
No, it's not.
spk_0
You can feel this on Sunday morning, a lot of places.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
That's what's beautiful about it.
spk_0
And it doesn't also end with you.
spk_0
No, exactly.
spk_0
And it didn't start with you either.
spk_0
Not even close.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Not even close.
spk_0
That's, and that's what's so beautiful about this music.
spk_0
And that's what I always pray that God's presence would touch people.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
When they hear the music that they don't even know that, you know, I haven't created
spk_0
any new instruments.
spk_0
And I have not, there's only 12 notes on the scale and it's the same music, the same
spk_0
chords, but the presence of God somehow, they've since that and would touch the people
spk_0
and they may not even know what that is.
spk_0
But that's what, that's what I always pray for God.
spk_0
People have an encounter with God.
spk_0
And it's almost like if it is the, you're like, it is very this army.
spk_0
You're like, this place is sold out or this place, we sold three tickets.
spk_0
Or like, yeah, it doesn't really, we'll talk, we'll fire someone at management.
spk_0
But yeah, on Monday, I've done both of those.
spk_0
I have done both of those many times.
spk_0
Well, you go this, that's not really what we're, what we're here for.
spk_0
Man, I have to remember that all the time, man, you saying that truly?
spk_0
I said, that's a big one for me.
spk_0
And you go, me, Brian.
spk_0
Yeah, it's nice at, at the Charlie Kirk's funeral is a millions of people.
spk_0
Like I can obviously see I'm being used here.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
As a, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Help Lord.
spk_0
God does this to me, man.
spk_0
You're gonna, all that, you're gonna love this.
spk_0
He does, it's unbelievable.
spk_0
This is God's way of, he is a little thing with me.
spk_0
My first time, I got to play Masses Square Garden and sold out.
spk_0
And I thought, I, you know, I, just be honest, since we're on your podcast, I was like,
spk_0
I think I'm doing pretty well here.
spk_0
I'm here.
spk_0
Like this is awesome.
spk_0
What podcast can you not say that?
spk_0
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0
Amazing.
spk_0
I'm amazing.
spk_0
So I was feeling, I'm cross feeling.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I'm crushing it.
spk_0
The next, the next concert.
spk_0
No.
spk_0
I, I kid you not.
spk_0
The next concert was three days later, up Alabama, Rattlesnake, rodeo.
spk_0
How many people?
spk_0
It wasn't.
spk_0
It was maybe a hundred.
spk_0
And they're out there and they've got rattlesnakes and they're naming the rattlesnakes.
spk_0
That's Charlie out there with that rattlesnake.
spk_0
And I'm about to do a concert.
spk_0
I just played in New York City.
spk_0
Rattlesnake rodeo is great.
spk_0
That was the next, anytime I've got somewhere, I'm like, yes, I, I made it.
spk_0
The next concert to go.
spk_0
I'm going to see.
spk_0
And notice respect to people in Op Alabama.
spk_0
No, yeah, they're great people.
spk_0
Op Alabama.
spk_0
But like when you go from, he was Op Alabama or else I'd be ready.
spk_0
I think it's cool to think that like just the omniscience of God in that of where he
spk_0
knew that you were going to feel that when you got to the garden.
spk_0
And so he made sure that the next one was already routed for you.
spk_0
He knew you'd get there.
spk_0
And he's like, don't worry, I got some of the back insides.
spk_0
Yeah, don't worry.
spk_0
Yeah, I'll bring you back down.
spk_0
I'm like, guys, where we going from here?
spk_0
What we're going to, the rattlesnake rodeo.
spk_0
We're fine private down there.
spk_0
No, we're not.
spk_0
Well, it is, when I did, I did Winter Jam in 2018.
spk_0
Okay.
spk_0
And it was right.
spk_0
So Carrie and Cody led worship right after me in the set.
spk_0
spk_0
And they, they, they, we at the beginning, they're like, how's this going to work?
spk_0
Comedy and then you're leading worship, everybody.
spk_0
And then after about a month, I'll never forget this.
spk_0
Carrie came to me and she goes, I got to be honest with you.
spk_0
These are such a pleasure to lead worship after you.
spk_0
I go, why do you say that?
spk_0
She goes, all of these kids from all these youth groups, all over the,
spk_0
90 miles, none of them know each other.
spk_0
They're all different backgrounds, different outfits, different races,
spk_0
different education, different everything.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And what you have done has, has broken down all these walls.
spk_0
I've made fun of all the stuff in the city and the Christian stereotypes
spk_0
and, you know, people from this city and that city.
spk_0
And everybody is elbowing each other.
spk_0
Did you?
spk_0
And then you have like a kind of open.
spk_0
It's like almost like, and then she goes, we can just 100%.
spk_0
It's nothing like laughing, man.
spk_0
That opens up the ranks down every wall.
spk_0
It's a great, it's the greatest gift.
spk_0
I, that's, I don't, you don't know this, but when I was in college,
spk_0
I went to, I went to nationals in comedy speaking.
spk_0
Oh, wow.
spk_0
That should be the start of this pod when we talk about that.
spk_0
And, and there had a thing called, it was, it was called after dinner speaking.
spk_0
It was, it was a, and it was all these different.
spk_0
You could do debate, you could do poetry, you could do thing.
spk_0
It was, it was a college course.
spk_0
And I chose, I said, I said, what's after dinner speaking?
spk_0
It's like, well, it's just kind of being, it's just comedy,
spk_0
but you got to do it in front of judges and you got to, and you do this thing.
spk_0
And so I always loved, I loved, I just, I'm not near what you can do.
spk_0
But I always, there's something special about the walls that come down
spk_0
when people start laughing, man.
spk_0
And people start, you get those people in that place.
spk_0
And what you do and it's so special, man, I love it.
spk_0
Did it, did it go good for you?
spk_0
What's that?
spk_0
The comedy, the comedy.
spk_0
Well, and you did it, do you remember any of your jokes?
spk_0
It was, it was, it was called, Why America Loves Country Music.
spk_0
It was my skin.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And that, I had no idea.
spk_0
It just doesn't exist anywhere.
spk_0
No, it doesn't.
spk_0
It doesn't, it doesn't.
spk_0
Thank God.
spk_0
I just looked forward to it.
spk_0
It was trying to find it.
spk_0
It was trying to, it was trying to, no, it doesn't exist.
spk_0
You were strapped.
spk_0
You were strapped.
spk_0
You were strapped.
spk_0
We continue to scrape.
spk_0
Every day it becomes up, scrape.
spk_0
That doesn't exist.
spk_0
But I would, I would, I would write little songs.
spk_0
And that we're like, I would just make up little country songs.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
And then I'm, I'm literally 18 years old.
spk_0
So, yeah, freshman college, junior college,
spk_0
Tyler junior college.
spk_0
And, yes.
spk_0
And so I just got my little songs and, and I would,
spk_0
my little gimmick was I would, I'd lick my pick
spk_0
and I would just stick it on the guitar.
spk_0
It would just stick on the guitar while I'm talking.
spk_0
And anytime I was ready for this song, I just slide to pick off
spk_0
and just go, just say, I had this whole,
spk_0
I had this whole little thing, John.
spk_0
You got to break that back.
spk_0
It was, it was huge.
spk_0
If I see a video of you doing that, I'll know.
spk_0
I go, if anybody sees that, I know it's the same thing.
spk_0
spk_0
Well, it is, do you ever say any jokes on stage?
spk_0
I tell stories of that are, you wouldn't believe.
spk_0
Yeah, of, of my, of things have happened to me.
spk_0
In, in concerts that I can't, well,
spk_0
can't tell you one.
spk_0
You go for it.
spk_0
Can't tell you one.
spk_0
Yes, please.
spk_0
So the craziest one I've ever happened is for my wife,
spk_0
it's my first anniversary.
spk_0
My wife is where she's, we got, she's,
spk_0
let's go somewhere warm.
spk_0
We got married in the winter.
spk_0
She's like, let's give her somewhere.
spk_0
So let's, so it's your first anniversary.
spk_0
You want to do it, right?
spk_0
So we're like, okay, let's go to Miami.
spk_0
And I was like, we've not really been to Miami much before.
spk_0
So do this, get to Miami.
spk_0
And I set all the hotel and everything.
spk_0
I try to get it right.
spk_0
And it is, when I say I've picked the wrong hotel,
spk_0
it is the wrong hotel.
spk_0
We get there and it's a convention going on.
spk_0
And we're the only people that aren't,
spk_0
they don't have name tags.
spk_0
And it's like, I'm not doing this my first anniversary.
spk_0
So it's like, baby, let's go to South Beach.
spk_0
I've always heard about South Beach.
spk_0
And I literally didn't, I was that naive.
spk_0
It's like, I heard it, I heard it's,
spk_0
I heard it's fun.
spk_0
Let's go out there.
spk_0
I know where this is going.
spk_0
Let's get, let's get, let's get, let's find another room.
spk_0
So we go find this hotel, get on a South Beach.
spk_0
It's been a long day of travel.
spk_0
Get out there and lay the,
spk_0
we lay the towels down the beach.
spk_0
And I was not ready for what I was seeing.
spk_0
I mean, we had the most clothes on by,
spk_0
I mean, a million miles.
spk_0
And we're just like, oh my gosh.
spk_0
I was like, wow, I wasn't ready for this.
spk_0
And everybody's just like, wow, this isn't saying.
spk_0
Where people watching, well, this guy comes up.
spk_0
He's in this attendant and he's got these waters.
spk_0
And he's got these waters like this.
spk_0
And he comes up and he's looking all Miami.
spk_0
I mean, he is cool.
spk_0
He's ripped.
spk_0
He's tattooed.
spk_0
He's got his hair slicked back.
spk_0
He walks up, and my wife goes, she had said,
spk_0
we finally lay down and she goes,
spk_0
well, at least, if you're looking around,
spk_0
she goes, at least nobody's going to know who you are here.
spk_0
And I'm like, that's true.
spk_0
And she's just kind of taking a little jab, you know?
spk_0
Well, he comes up and he's got this little thing.
spk_0
And he walks up with the waters.
spk_0
He looks at me and he goes, no way.
spk_0
You're Christ, I'm like, and he sits down in between us
spk_0
on our towels.
spk_0
My wife said, in bikini, I'm sitting there.
spk_0
He sits down and starts just pouring out his life.
spk_0
He's like, man, I just say, because I can't believe this.
spk_0
Running into you here, he said, man,
spk_0
I came to Miami to do everything you could do.
spk_0
Man, I've done everything.
spk_0
I got to the bottom of life.
spk_0
I've done every draw you can do.
spk_0
I came here to party and do all the things.
spk_0
And it's empty.
spk_0
I got to the bottom of my life.
spk_0
Somebody had me one of your CDs.
spk_0
I pulled over on the side of the road and gave my life to Christ
spk_0
with someone who listens to your music.
spk_0
And now you're sitting here in the South Beach.
spk_0
What in the world?
spk_0
And I'm just like, and I was like, this is amazing.
spk_0
And I was like, oh, that's so cool.
spk_0
And he gets up and he just walks off.
spk_0
And I was like, my wife and I was like, that's not what I thought.
spk_0
That's amazing.
spk_0
I never thought that South Beach, I'm laying there.
spk_0
Well, he comes back.
spk_0
And this time he's got some more waters.
spk_0
And he's got a Bluetooth speaker with his on his tray.
spk_0
And he sets it down.
spk_0
He sets it down and it's edge of our towels.
spk_0
And he just hits play on the Bluetooth.
spk_0
And it's my music.
spk_0
And it's when I say it's so loud, he's playing so loud.
spk_0
And he's standing.
spk_0
He stands on the edge of the towels.
spk_0
We're laying down like this.
spk_0
He's standing above us on the edge of the towels.
spk_0
And I remember this, it was Jesus' side was his own.
spk_0
He just starts going forward.
spk_0
He's just like, the edge of the towels, just like,
spk_0
sing it, worship it.
spk_0
And my wife and I are laying there.
spk_0
She's in her bathing suit.
spk_0
And she goes, and she, and you know,
spk_0
ladies can do this.
spk_0
She can talk about moving them out.
spk_0
She's like, what do we do?
spk_0
What do we do?
spk_0
What do we do?
spk_0
And I was like, I think we're supposed to worship, babe.
spk_0
But thanks for what we're doing.
spk_0
So we get up, we get up and we're all three of us are now holding hands.
spk_0
And we're thinking, I'm thinking, John, you know what I'm thinking?
spk_0
I'm thinking, if any, I'm thinking now everybody else is looking at us.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Now we're the way everybody's looking at us because it's loud.
spk_0
And we're, and he's singing his heart out.
spk_0
And I'm thinking, if anybody, if anybody else knows who I am, which they don't,
spk_0
but if anybody else did, they must be thinking the ego of that guy.
spk_0
He brings his own music.
spk_0
He brings, he comes and brings on with it and makes people sing with them.
spk_0
Oh, he looked like he worked for you.
spk_0
Yeah, yeah.
spk_0
And we're just singing.
spk_0
Okay, he played three songs.
spk_0
That's three songs too many.
spk_0
Three songs too many of your songs.
spk_0
That's 15 minutes.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
It's just standing there.
spk_0
You're like, yep, I know it.
spk_0
I know it.
spk_0
It's what he's singing.
spk_0
And I was just like, and he walked off and he's like, man, this is awesome.
spk_0
I think this was amazing.
spk_0
Unbelievable.
spk_0
So if you're listening to my brother, I love you.
spk_0
And you are awesome.
spk_0
The CD.
spk_0
It's all, yeah.
spk_0
I wonder how he tells the story.
spk_0
What, yeah.
spk_0
You know, yeah, it probably tells a difference.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
We'll get him on a pod next week.
spk_0
It'd be so good.
spk_0
What year was that?
spk_0
That was 15 years ago.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
Wow.
spk_0
That man grew up to be Brandon Lake.
spk_0
Not crazy.
spk_0
It's crazy, man.
spk_0
His story is crazy.
spk_0
spk_0
It's still, yeah.
spk_0
It's amazing.
spk_0
Thank you, Brandon.
spk_0
I appreciate it.
spk_0
Shout out Brandon, dude.
spk_0
When we get circle all the way back, tattooed.
spk_0
Yeah, that just to suit you know, yeah.
spk_0
We talked about, we talked about it already, but plug the album a little bit.
spk_0
Oh, thank you, man.
spk_0
The album is called The King is Still The King.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And if I would, I honestly, you know, a lot of things we talk about today.
spk_0
If I had to put that album out last year, I think most of people in my world would be like,
spk_0
oh, it's nice.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I believe that.
spk_0
It just feels like a little something a little bit more, I don't know, a little bit more important,
spk_0
maybe a statement.
spk_0
And that's only God's timing.
spk_0
I mean, I have put this out this at this moment in time.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
And the king is still the king.
spk_0
That's the, it's a declaration of faith, right?
spk_0
It's more than just a, more than just a title.
spk_0
And it's on my hat here, everything you see around our world is this, is this image of this
spk_0
crop, this crown.
spk_0
And it's the crown of thorns wrapped around the crown of the crown of the king of kings.
spk_0
And I just feel like that tells the whole story in this little image of the king is still
spk_0
the king.
spk_0
And when Jesus on this earth, he wore crown of thorns.
spk_0
We know that it was mocked.
spk_0
He was shame.
spk_0
Shame.
spk_0
His blood was shed for us.
spk_0
And yet today he wears crown of king of kings.
spk_0
And the scripture says he is wears a crown, a crown of crowns, a king of kings.
spk_0
And there's a song on the album that I get that title from.
spk_0
And it, the chorus, it just says this for the blood is still the blood and the king is still
spk_0
the king.
spk_0
And that's the whole story.
spk_0
That's the crown of thorns wrapped around this crown.
spk_0
And so that's why you see everything you see of mine online has got this crown.
spk_0
And it's the kind of point of people to hold the album is this thread.
spk_0
I've never had an album so intentional.
spk_0
I've always just put whatever best songs I can.
spk_0
This one has a real thread running through it of this king of this of goddess king.
spk_0
And the way just the way it even is sequenced and all the pieces of music throughout.
spk_0
I mean, I even went old school, found it.
spk_0
One of the early songs I used to lead called You're My King.
spk_0
Amazing love.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
And just to bring that back into this idea of the king is still the king.
spk_0
And so I hope people enjoy this.
spk_0
This is my 18th album, which is crazy.
spk_0
And I'm worried and just grateful for that.
spk_0
And hopefully there's songs that really make people connect to the church connects to.
spk_0
And I think it's been a beautiful already playing it a little bit.
spk_0
Right out there.
spk_0
18 albums is not so many.
spk_0
If there was a, if we had to elect, I'm going to ask this, if you had elected a Christian president,
spk_0
it would probably be you.
spk_0
Do you think?
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
If we got to go, Hey, we got in America, we got to get, they said we had to, who do we nominate?
spk_0
I think it'd be, yeah, on the ballot for sure.
spk_0
Yeah, I want the ballot.
spk_0
Definitely.
spk_0
There's lots of people.
spk_0
I'm being the, I'm being the, run for the primary.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
The primary.
spk_0
spk_0
Oh, they albums out currently.
spk_0
Yes, it is out currently.
spk_0
It's just came out and the king is still the king.
spk_0
And you're going on, how are you going on tour?
spk_0
I'm on tour right now.
spk_0
And so it's really, really beautiful, beautiful nights.
spk_0
They feel more charged than ever.
spk_0
I mean, I think it's been really, really insane.
spk_0
I think with all the, kind of these awakening things in our country, you know, and what you
spk_0
said, the evil, the real, the realness of that and the light and the darkness and the
spk_0
feeling that, feeling those two things, those forces, right?
spk_0
And you got to do something with it.
spk_0
Mm-hmm.
spk_0
However you got in there, if your parents drug you or if you had the, or you as a coworker
spk_0
or a wife or if you're a huge fan, if we're doing our job right, I think mine is the
spk_0
same way.
spk_0
The common is that in the last two weeks has felt so powerful.
spk_0
And I just talk about a little bit at the end of the show.
spk_0
I go, we're joking here, but we're not joking.
spk_0
Or you know what I'm saying?
spk_0
Where you understand exactly what we're here for.
spk_0
And it's all these ideas that we are kind of satirizing or making fun of.
spk_0
spk_0
Like I said, we're kind of attacking the same issues from a different angle.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
Yes.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I mean, it is very, everybody, and we, I just saw the year you were in Fort Wayne.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
I was probably there at the same night.
spk_0
Maybe I was in the other side of town.
spk_0
Maybe I was a night after before, but it is unique because you go to a city and you,
spk_0
you kind of live there and you go, I don't know how everybody, like, especially during
spk_0
COVID, you go, I don't know how everybody.
spk_0
And then you all come together.
spk_0
It's just such a, we talk about it here on the pod all the time.
spk_0
Everybody from Nashville on Thursday night or Wednesday night goes out in these buses.
spk_0
It's from, and it's a Christian.
spk_0
There's comedians, there's country artists, there's folk, there's everybody.
spk_0
Frog everything.
spk_0
And then I, at times, it has felt like going out in wartime when the bands would go
spk_0
out there, people are depressed and sad and unemployed and they lost their jobs or marriages.
spk_0
We all go out there and encourage them.
spk_0
We obviously with the light of Christ or with comedy and then they we all kind of on Sunday
spk_0
night or Monday morning, you see them all coming back.
spk_0
And I, it's a very, very noble purpose to give your life to.
spk_0
It is.
spk_0
And yeah, and I just love, I want to say just quickly, like love what you're doing,
spk_0
love that.
spk_0
Obviously, the influence you've got with this and then just using your voice and how
spk_0
God's just elevated you to be such a, some of these people looking to, you know, and
spk_0
to point them to that light.
spk_0
I mean, I just feel like it's more than ever.
spk_0
God, well, I think we will start of this podcast in 2021 because I feel like kids are coming
spk_0
up and believing these ideas from the internet.
spk_0
I go, that's bad.
spk_0
That's bad information, whether it's about your identity or even something similar, like
spk_0
just all these, everything they hear is I disagree with.
spk_0
And I would, we go, well, I would like to add a voice on whatever side this is to be
spk_0
like this.
spk_0
I do not feel that this is correct.
spk_0
And then I sat with it's wild with, yeah, with Charlie Kirk, we posted a lot about it
spk_0
because I go, hey, I'm on this side.
spk_0
Like I know there's a lot, you get a lot of pushback on the internet or a lot of, I
spk_0
don't, I'm, I get to say my,
spk_0
yeah, side two.
spk_0
And I am firmly and strong more than ever on this side.
spk_0
And you go, well, if everybody gets to add theirs, and if you're on the other side, add
spk_0
yours.
spk_0
And then we'll, yeah, let, we'll discuss it.
spk_0
And I just like, I don't like the idea that only these voices can be heard.
spk_0
That's right.
spk_0
It takes guys to do that.
spk_0
Thank you, brother.
spk_0
I'm honored to, honored to share a conversation with your brother.
spk_0
Yeah.
spk_0
No place me and Toby will put some golf soon.
spk_0
Let's go.
spk_0
Let's go.
spk_0
I will be the worst of those.
spk_0
Oh, yeah.
spk_0
Thank you, brothers.
spk_0
I'm honored to have you.
spk_0
spk_0
On the net.
spk_0
On the, on the, it was a positive.
spk_0
It was a positive.
spk_0
You cannot be serious.
spk_0
On the net, it's a positive.
