spk_0 Hello everyone! My name is Shira and you're listening to the Let's Rehaery Potter Podcast,
spk_0 where I, your host, will read each chapter of every book of the Haery Potter series.
spk_0 In the previous episode we read Chapter 6, Gildroy Lockhart.
spk_0 In this episode, you'll be reading Chapter 7, Mod Bloods and Murmurs.
spk_0 So without further ado, let's begin!
spk_0 Chapter 7, Mod Bloods and Murmurs.
spk_0 Haery spent a lot of time over the next few days dodging out of sight
spk_0 wherever he saw Gildroy Lockhart, coming down the corridor.
spk_0 Her to avoid was Colin Crevy, who seemed to have memorized Haery's timetable.
spk_0 Nothing seemed to give Colin a bigger thrill than to say,
spk_0 or a Haery, six seven times a day in here.
spk_0 Hello Colin, back.
spk_0 However, exasperated Haery's son and when he said it.
spk_0 Headwink was still angry with Haery about the disastrous car journey
spk_0 and Ron's wand was still malfunction.
spk_0 So he passed himself on Friday morning by shooting out of Ron's hand in charge
spk_0 and hitting tiny old professor Flipwick, squarely between the eyes,
spk_0 creating a large, dropping green oil where it had struck.
spk_0 So with one thing and another, Haery was quite glad to reach the weekend.
spk_0 He ran on our mind and we were planning however to visit Haery on Saturday morning.
spk_0 Haery however was shaking awake several hours earlier than he would have liked by Oliver Wood,
spk_0 captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
spk_0 What's the matter?
spk_0 It's a hairy grubbly.
spk_0 Quidditch practice said wood.
spk_0 Come on!
spk_0 Haery's went in at the window.
spk_0 There's a thin mist hanging across the pink and gold star.
spk_0 Now he was awake.
spk_0 He couldn't understand how he could have slept through the racket the birds were making.
spk_0 Oliver, haircut.
spk_0 It's the crack of dawn.
spk_0 Exactly.
spk_0 Said wood.
spk_0 He was a tall and berly six-year and at the moment his eyes were gleaming with mad enthusiasm.
spk_0 It's part of a new training program.
spk_0 Come on!
spk_0 Grab your brumps and let's go.
spk_0 Said wood heartily.
spk_0 None of the other teams have started training yet.
spk_0 We went through the first of the month this year.
spk_0 Yawning and shivering slightly, Haery climbed out of the bed and tried to find his Quidditch Roads.
spk_0 Good man.
spk_0 Said wood.
spk_0 Meaturing the pitch in 15 minutes.
spk_0 When he found his scarlet team Roads and pulled on his clothes for a while.
spk_0 Haery's real wood out in a note to Ron explaining where he'd gone and went down to the spiral suitcase in the common room.
spk_0 His name is 2000 and on his shoulder he had just reached the portrait hole when there was a clatter behind him.
spk_0 And Colin Crevy came dashing down the spiral shaped case.
spk_0 His camera swaying loudly on his neck and suddenly his question was hand.
spk_0 What if someone's saying your name on this desk?
spk_0 Hurry!
spk_0 Look what I've got here!
spk_0 I've got a developed and I want to show you.
spk_0 Haery looked bramously at the photograph Colin was brandishing under his nose.
spk_0 I'm moving.
spk_0 Black and white lock heart was tidying on it on arm.
spk_0 Haery recognized as zone.
spk_0 He was pleased to see that his photographic self was putting up a good fight on refusing to be dragged into view.
spk_0 As Haery watched, lock heart gave up and slammed, panting against the white edge of the picture.
spk_0 Well you sign it!
spk_0 Said Colin you really?
spk_0 No.
spk_0 Said Harry fatly.
spk_0 Listening around to check that the room was deserted.
spk_0 So I called him and I'm in a hurry, quit his practice.
spk_0 He climbed to the portrait hole.
spk_0 Oh wow wait for me!
spk_0 I've never watched a footage game before.
spk_0 Colin's scrambled through the hole after him.
spk_0 It's really boring.
spk_0 Haery's a bully but Colin ignored him.
spk_0 His face shining with excitement.
spk_0 He was the youngest house player in hundreds of years.
spk_0 Why don't you hurry?
spk_0 Why don't you?
spk_0 Said Colin trying alongside him.
spk_0 Must be brilliant.
spk_0 I've never flown.
spk_0 Is it easy?
spk_0 Is that your own room?
spk_0 Is that the best one there is?
spk_0 Haery didn't know how to get rid of him.
spk_0 It was like having an extremely talkative shadow.
spk_0 I don't really understand Quidditch.
spk_0 Said Colin breathing.
spk_0 Isn't sure that they have four balls and two of them fly around trying to knock people off their rooms?
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 Said Harry heavily.
spk_0 Resigned to explain the complicated rules of Quidditch.
spk_0 They're called bledgers.
spk_0 And two beaters on each team.
spk_0 They carry clubs to beat the bledgers away from their side.
spk_0 For enjoys weasley are the crew from the repeaters.
spk_0 And one of the other balls fall.
spk_0 Colin asked tripping down a couple of steps because he was gazing open enough at Harry.
spk_0 Well, the quaffle.
spk_0 The biggest reddish one.
spk_0 Is the one that scores goals.
spk_0 Three traces on each team feel like a ball full.
spk_0 To each other and try to get it through the goal post at the end of the pitch.
spk_0 There are three long pulls with hoops on the end.
spk_0 And the fourth ball is the goal in the snatch.
spk_0 It's very small, very fast and difficult to catch.
spk_0 But that's what the seeker's got to do.
spk_0 Because I'm going to have Quidditch just for end until the snatch has been caught.
spk_0 And whichever team seeker gets the snatch and the sustainment extra 150 points.
spk_0 And you're the Griffin of Seeker aren't you?
spk_0 Said Colin and R.
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 Said R.
spk_0 As he left the cast on the road across the dude bench grass.
spk_0 And there's the keeper too.
spk_0 He got the ball post.
spk_0 That's it really.
spk_0 The Colin didn't stop questioning Harry all the way down to the sloping lawn to the quidditch pitch.
spk_0 And Harry only shook him off when he reached the changing rooms.
spk_0 Colin called after him in his piping voice.
spk_0 I feel good in getting to see Harry and hurry it off to the stands.
spk_0 The rest of the Griffin team were already in the changing room.
spk_0 What was the only person who looked truly awake?
spk_0 Ferringer's really were sitting puffy eyed.
spk_0 And Tozel Herd.
spk_0 Next to the fourth year Alicia Spinnett, who seemed to be nodding off against the wall behind her.
spk_0 Her fellow chasers, Katie Bell and Angelina Johnson, Rionning, side by side, opposite.
spk_0 There you are Harry.
spk_0 We'll get to you.
spk_0 Said was pricelessly.
spk_0 Now I wanted to quick talk with you before we actually on the pitch.
spk_0 Because I spent the whole summer devising a whole new training program.
spk_0 Which I really think will make us all the difference what was holding up a large diagram of the quidditch pitch.
spk_0 On which we're drawn many lines, arrows and crosses in different colored inks.
spk_0 You took out his wand, taped the board and the arrows begin to wiggle over the diagram like caterpillars.
spk_0 As was launched into the speech about his new tactics, Ferringer's head dropped right into Alicia Spinnett's shoulder and he began to snore.
spk_0 The first board took nearly 20 minutes to explain.
spk_0 But there was another board under that and a third under that one.
spk_0 Harry sank into stepboard as wood drove on and on.
spk_0 So, said Wood, at long last, jerking Harry from a wistful fantasy about what he could be eating for breakfast at this very moment, about the castle.
spk_0 Is that clear? Any questions?
spk_0 I've got a question Oliver.
spk_0 So George, who had woken with a start, why couldn't you toss all yesterday but we were awake?
spk_0 What was it pleased?
spk_0 Now, listen here you lot.
spk_0 He said, glowering at them all, we should have won the quidditch cup last year.
spk_0 We were easy the best team.
spk_0 Unfortunately, Owing to certain sense of murder control, Harry should go to the leniency.
spk_0 He had been unconscious in the hospital wing for the final match of the previous year, meaning that Gryffordor had been a player short and had suffered the worst defeat in 300 years.
spk_0 Wood took a moment to regain control of himself.
spk_0 Their last defeat was clearly still torturing him.
spk_0 So this year we tried harder than ever before.
spk_0 Okay, let's go and put on a no theories into practice.
spk_0 Wood shouted, seizing his brimstick and leaning the way out of the changing rooms.
spk_0 Stiff liked and so yawning his team followed.
spk_0 And they had been in the changing rooms so long that the sun was uppubrantly here.
spk_0 Other remains of mist hung over the grass in the stadium.
spk_0 As Harry locked in the pitch, he saw her riding the miny sitting on the stands.
spk_0 Aren't you finished yet?
spk_0 Caused Ron, incredibly?
spk_0 Haven't even started.
spk_0 Harry, working justly up the toast and mom-led Ron and her miny had brought out of the greyhulk, Wood's been teaching us new moves.
spk_0 He mounted his brimstick and kicked out the ground, soaring up into the air.
spk_0 The cool morning air whipped his face, winging him far more aggressively than Wood's long talk.
spk_0 It felt wonderful to be back on the footage pitch.
spk_0 He saw it ride through the stadium at full speed, raising front and George.
spk_0 What's that fun clicking noise?
spk_0 Called Fred as they hurled from the corner.
spk_0 Hey, looked into the stands.
spk_0 Colin was sitting in one of the highest seats, his camera raised, taking pictures after pictures.
spk_0 The Saras changing magnified in the stadium.
spk_0 Looked this way, Harry, look this way!
spk_0 He cried surely.
spk_0 Who's that?
spk_0 Said Fred, no idea.
spk_0 Harry lied, putting on a spur of speed and then took him far as way as possible and Colin.
spk_0 What's going on?
spk_0 Said Wood frowning at his skim through the air towards them.
spk_0 Why is that first-year thing pictures?
spk_0 I don't like it.
spk_0 He could be a slithering spy.
spk_0 Kinda found out about an yet new training program.
spk_0 He's a girlfriend doll, so Harry quickly.
spk_0 And this little thing just don't need a spy all of a sudden.
spk_0 Said George, what makes you say that?
spk_0 Said Wood easily.
spk_0 Because they're personning here.
spk_0 Said George pointing.
spk_0 Several people in green rows walking out of the pitch, breathing in their hands.
spk_0 I don't believe it!
spk_0 Wood hates an average.
spk_0 I booked the pitch for today.
spk_0 We'll see about this.
spk_0 Wood shod towards the ground, ending rather harder than he meant to with his anger.
spk_0 Said he slightly as he de-mounted.
spk_0 Harry Fred and George followed.
spk_0 Flint!
spk_0 Wood bellowed as his learned captain.
spk_0 This is our practice time.
spk_0 We got up specially.
spk_0 You can clearly office now.
spk_0 Markisnit was even larger than Wood.
spk_0 He took a look at his trollish cunning on his face and replied.
spk_0 How do you remember all of us, Wood?
spk_0 Angelina, Alicia, and Katie had come over.
spk_0 They were no girls on the slithering team.
spk_0 His should shoulder to shoulder facing differenters.
spk_0 Learing to a man.
spk_0 But I booked the pitch.
spk_0 Said Wood.
spk_0 Positively spreading with rage.
spk_0 I booked it.
spk_0 Said Flint.
spk_0 But I have called it especially sign no to you from Professor Snape.
spk_0 Professor S. Snape gave the slithering team permission to practice today on the Quidditch pitch.
spk_0 Learing to the need of the train of the new Seeker.
spk_0 He forgot a new Seeker.
spk_0 Said Wood distracted where?
spk_0 And from behind the six large figures before they became a seventh.
spk_0 Smaller boy.
spk_0 Smirring all over his pale pointed face.
spk_0 It was Drake on our floor.
spk_0 Why don't you do she's my foie son?
spk_0 Said Fred looking at my foie with this leg.
spk_0 Funny you should mention Drake was father.
spk_0 Said Flint.
spk_0 As a whole slithering team smiled.
spk_0 Still more broadly.
spk_0 Let me show you the generous gift he made to the slithering team.
spk_0 All seven of them held out their broomsticks.
spk_0 Seven highly polished brand new handles of seven sets of fine gold lettering spelling the words.
spk_0 Nimbus 2001.
spk_0 Belemed under the Gryffinders' noses in the early morning sun.
spk_0 Barely his model.
spk_0 And became in last month.
spk_0 Said Flint.
spk_0 Carelessly thinking a speck of death from the end of his own.
spk_0 I believe it after strips the old 2000 series by considered amount.
spk_0 As for the old Queen Seeps.
spk_0 He's mad nationally at Fred and George.
spk_0 Who both clutching Queen's weebs fives.
spk_0 Sweeps the bold with them.
spk_0 Had the Gryffinders team could think of anything to say at the moment.
spk_0 My foie was freaking so broadly his cold eyes were reduced to slits.
spk_0 Oh look, said Flint.
spk_0 A pitch invasion.
spk_0 Runner reminded him of crossing the grass to see what was going on.
spk_0 What's happening?
spk_0 Ron said, Harry.
spk_0 Why did you play?
spk_0 And what is he doing here?
spk_0 He was looking at my foie.
spk_0 Taking in southern quidditch robes.
spk_0 I, the new slipper, go easily.
spk_0 Said math away, smuggly.
spk_0 Everyone was just been in mind.
spk_0 He breathed my father back to our team.
spk_0 Ron gafed.
spk_0 Opened mouthed.
spk_0 And the seven superb broomsticks in front of them.
spk_0 Good auntie.
spk_0 Said math away smoothly.
spk_0 Perhaps a Gryffinder team will be able to raise some gold.
spk_0 And get some new broomsticks too.
spk_0 You could raffle off those clean sweep fives.
spk_0 I expect the museum would bid for them.
spk_0 This little game team hallowed laughter.
spk_0 At least no one on the Gryffinder team had to buy that way in.
spk_0 So to my describedly, they got in with peel, talent.
spk_0 This mug look on math foie's face flickered.
spk_0 No one asked your penny filthy to the mud blood.
spk_0 He spat.
spk_0 Harry knew that once math foie had set something really bad
spk_0 because there's an instant uproar in his words.
spk_0 Flint had to die in front of math foie to start spreading droids
spk_0 on jumping him.
spk_0 I just freaked.
spk_0 How dare you?
spk_0 And Ron plunged his hand into his rose,
spk_0 playing at his wand yelling.
spk_0 You paid for that one, math foie.
spk_0 And pointed it furiously on different arm at math foie's face.
spk_0 A loud bang I go around the stadium.
spk_0 A jet of green light was shot out of the wrong end of Ron's wand,
spk_0 hitting him in the stomach and sending him really backwards on the grass.
spk_0 Ron!
spk_0 Ron!
spk_0 Are you alright?
spk_0 That's why I'm not any.
spk_0 Ron opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out.
spk_0 Instead, he gave it all my knee-blet and several slugs dribbled out of his mouth at his lap.
spk_0 The slug on team were paralyzed with laughter.
spk_0 Flint was doubled up, hanging on his new frame sick for support.
spk_0 Math foie wasn't all foie's, being on the ground with his fist.
spk_0 The different droids were gathered around Ron,
spk_0 who kept belching large, listening to slugs.
spk_0 Nobody seemed to want to touch him.
spk_0 We'd better get him to Hagrid, his nearest sit-hair to Hermione,
spk_0 who knotted bravely, and the pair of them pulled him up by Ron with his arms.
spk_0 What happened Harry?
spk_0 What happened?
spk_0 Is he ill?
spk_0 But you can cure and conjure.
spk_0 Colin had run down from his seat and was now dancing alongside them as they left a pitch.
spk_0 Ron gave a huge heath and more slugs dribbled out of him.
spk_0 Oof.
spk_0 Said Colin, fascinated and raised his camera.
spk_0 Can you hold him still, Harry?
spk_0 Get out of the way, Colin!
spk_0 Said Harry, angrily.
spk_0 He and Hermione supported Ron out of the stadium and across the grounds towards the near edge
spk_0 of the forest.
spk_0 Yoli there, Ron.
spk_0 Hermione, as a gatekeeper's cabin came into the Yolby-O-Rite in a minute almost there.
spk_0 They were within 20 feet of Hagrid's house when the front door opened,
spk_0 but it wasn't Hagrid who emerged.
spk_0 Gildor a lock heart wearing robes of paleis mow of today came striding out.
spk_0 Quick behind here.
spk_0 Harry there, striding Ron behind a nearly bush.
spk_0 Hermione followed somewhere reluctantly.
spk_0 It's a simple matter I know what you're doing.
spk_0 Book heart was saying that the Hagrid, if you need my help, you know where I am.
spk_0 As you have a copy of my book.
spk_0 I'm surprised that you haven't called me already.
spk_0 I'll sign on tonight incident of a...well, goodbye!
spk_0 And he straight away towards the castle.
spk_0 Harry went in to lock it when I was sight.
spk_0 Then he pulled Ron out of the bush and up to Hagrid's front door.
spk_0 They knocked urgently.
spk_0 Hagrid appeared at once, looking very grumpy, but his expression by it when he saw who it was.
spk_0 Been wondering when you come to see me?
spk_0 Come in, come in!
spk_0 Don't you might have been first lock-up back then.
spk_0 Harry and Hermione supported Ron over the threshold into the one room cabin,
spk_0 which had enormous bed in one corner, a firecracking, merely another.
spk_0 Hagrid didn't seem perturbed by Ron's slug problem,
spk_0 which Harry has to explain as he lowered Ron into his chair.
spk_0 But after then, he said cheerfully, plucking your large copper basin in front of him.
spk_0 Get him all up!
spk_0 Ron?
spk_0 I don't know anything to do except wait for it to stop.
spk_0 So don't mind me seriously, watching Ron bend over for the basin.
spk_0 That's a difficult close to work at the best times, but with a broken wand.
spk_0 Hagrid was bursting around, making them tea.
spk_0 His borehound thing was slurping over Harry.
spk_0 What did Lockhart want with you, Hagrid?
spk_0 Harry asked, scratching thingsy as, giving me advice on getting kelpies out of the way.
spk_0 He grabbed Hagrid, moving a half-plugged rooster off his scrub table,
spk_0 insiding down the teapot.
spk_0 Like, I don't know.
spk_0 And banging on about some banshee-barnished one word of it was true I'll eat my kettle.
spk_0 It was most unlike Hagrid to criticize a Hogwarts teacher,
spk_0 and Harry looked at him in surprise.
spk_0 Hermione, however, said in a voice somewhat higher than usual.
spk_0 I think you'll be a bit unfair, but first time to obviously though he was the best-mind for the job.
spk_0 He was the only man for the job.
spk_0 So Hagrid offered him a plate of treacle-coffed coffee,
spk_0 which Harry copped screechily into the basin.
spk_0 And I mean only one.
spk_0 Getting very difficult to find anyone for dark arts jobs.
spk_0 People on the tip of the tongue say, it's not like you think of jinx.
spk_0 No one's taking it for a while, that's tell me.
spk_0 So Hagrid drugging his head to Ron.
spk_0 Who was he trying to kiss?
spk_0 Math boy called Hermione something.
spk_0 It must have been really bad because everyone met mad.
spk_0 It was bad.
spk_0 Said Ron Horstley emerging over at the tabletop when he pale his body.
spk_0 Math boy called him a mud blood Hagrid.
spk_0 Ron died out of sight again as a fresh wave of slugs made their appearance.
spk_0 How did it look at Paige?
spk_0 He didn't.
spk_0 He growled at Hermione.
spk_0 She said, I don't know what it means.
spk_0 I could tell it was very rude of course.
spk_0 It's the most insulting thing you could think of.
spk_0 Guess what I'm coming back up.
spk_0 Mud blood is a very foul name for someone who is muggable.
spk_0 You know, non-magic parents.
spk_0 There are some wizards like math boy who think they're better than everyone else.
spk_0 Because they're what people call pure blood.
spk_0 He gave a spa burp.
spk_0 As some single slug fell out of his outreach hand.
spk_0 He threw it into the basin and continued.
spk_0 I'm the rest of us.
spk_0 No, it doesn't make a difference at all.
spk_0 Look at the level of lung button.
spk_0 He's pure blood and he can hardly stand a cauldron the right way up.
spk_0 And they haven't invented a spell of Hermione can't do.
spk_0 So Hagrid paralleling Hermione go a brilliant shade of magenta.
spk_0 It's a disgusting thing to call someone.
spk_0 Said Ron.
spk_0 Why bring his sweaty brow with the shaking hand?
spk_0 Dirty blood sea comment blood?
spk_0 It's mad.
spk_0 Most of the seas says.
spk_0 A half blood anyway.
spk_0 If we didn't have it married Muggles, we died out.
spk_0 He rushed and ducked out of sight again.
spk_0 Well, I don't blame you for trying to kiss him, Ron.
spk_0 Said Hagrid loudly over the dead slugs hitting the basin.
spk_0 But maybe it was a good thing you weren't backfired.
spk_0 Speck Lucius Nafoi would have come marching after the swirf he kissed his son.
spk_0 Least you're not in trouble.
spk_0 Harry would have found out that trouble didn't come much worse
spk_0 than having slugs point out of your mouth, but he couldn't.
spk_0 Hagrid's turquoise coffee had smelted his jaws together.
spk_0 Harry said Hagrid suddenly as though struck by a sudden thought.
spk_0 Got a burn to pick with you.
spk_0 I've heard you've been giving outside photos.
spk_0 How come I haven't got one?
spk_0 Furious.
spk_0 Harry rushed his tees apart.
spk_0 I have not been giving outside photos.
spk_0 He said hardly.
spk_0 If Locke had still putting that about.
spk_0 But then he saw Hagrid was laughing.
spk_0 I'm only joking.
spk_0 He said, pounding Harry, turning me on the back and sending him face worse into the table.
spk_0 I know you hadn't really.
spk_0 I told Locke that you didn't need to.
spk_0 He made famous than him without trying.
spk_0 But he didn't like that.
spk_0 So Harry said he up and rubbing his chin.
spk_0 Don't think he did.
spk_0 Said I would, his eyes swirly.
spk_0 And then I told him I'd never been on his old books.
spk_0 And he decided to go take a coffee.
spk_0 From here and one room prepared.
spk_0 New thanks.
spk_0 Said I wanted to get better not risk it.
spk_0 Come on.
spk_0 See what I've been growing.
spk_0 So Hagrid as Harry and Hermione finished up their last party.
spk_0 In a small vegetable patch behind Hagrid's house, where a dozen of the largest pumpkins Harry had ever seen.
spk_0 Each was the size of a large boulder.
spk_0 Get all will, aren't they?
spk_0 Said Hagrid happily.
spk_0 For the Halloween feast should be big enough by then.
spk_0 But he's been feeding them.
spk_0 Said Harry.
spk_0 Hagrid looked over his shoulder to check that they were alone.
spk_0 Well, I've been giving them, you know, a bit help.
spk_0 Harry knows Hagrid's flowery pink umbrella leaning in his back side of the wall in the cabin.
spk_0 Harry had a reason to believe before that this umbrella was not at all what it looked.
spk_0 In fact, he had the strongest impression that Hagrid's old tool wand was concealed inside of it.
spk_0 Hagrid wasn't supposed to use magic, he had been exposed from Hogwarts in his third year.
spk_0 But Harry never found out why.
spk_0 And he mentioned that Hagrid would clear his throat loudly,
spk_0 become seriously deaf until the side vehicles change.
spk_0 The engagement charge I suppose.
spk_0 Said Hermione.
spk_0 Halfway between disapproval and amusement.
spk_0 Well, you've got done that good job on them.
spk_0 Did you little sister said that Hagrid nodding at her own?
spk_0 I just yesterday.
spk_0 Hagrid looks sideways at Harry.
spk_0 He's a bit witty.
spk_0 She said she was just looking around the grounds,
spk_0 but I reckon she was hoping she might run into someone else at my house.
spk_0 He went to Harry.
spk_0 If he asked me, she would not say no to a sign.
spk_0 Oh, shut up!
spk_0 Said Harry.
spk_0 Run started with laughter, and the ground was sprayed with slugs.
spk_0 Watch it!
spk_0 Hagrid roared, pulling one away from his precious pumpkins.
spk_0 It was nearly lunchtime, and as Harry had only had one bit of trekletoffie since dawn,
spk_0 he was keen to go back to school to eat.
spk_0 They had said goodbye to Hagrid and rock back up in the castle.
spk_0 Ron take it pretty occasionally, but only bringing up two very small slugs.
spk_0 They had barely set foot in the cool entrance when the voice rang out.
spk_0 There you are, putt a wheezy!
spk_0 First and more lovable, and was walking towards them looking stern.
spk_0 You were both too intense this evening.
spk_0 What are we doing, Professor?
spk_0 So, Ron nervously suppressing a burp.
spk_0 You will be polishing the silver and trophy room with Mr. Filch.
spk_0 Professor McGonnell, and no magic queasy.
spk_0 Elbow grease.
spk_0 Ron gulped.
spk_0 Argus Filch, the caretaker, was loathed by every student in the school.
spk_0 And G-Potter will be helping Professor Lockhart also his fan, man.
spk_0 Said Professor McGonnell.
spk_0 Oh, now I can't take on a trophy room, true.
spk_0 Said Harry, yes, really.
spk_0 Certainly not.
spk_0 Said Professor McGonnell, raising her eyebrows.
spk_0 Professor Lockhart requested you particularly.
spk_0 It had worked shopped both of you.
spk_0 Harry and Ron slashed into the great hall in states of the deepest gloom.
spk_0 Hermione behind them, wearing a well-you did break school rules sort of expression.
spk_0 Harry didn't fancy his shepherd's pie as much as he thought.
spk_0 Both he and Ron felt they'd got the worst deal.
spk_0 Filch had me there all night.
spk_0 Said Ron heavily.
spk_0 No magic.
spk_0 There must be about hundreds of cups of my room.
spk_0 I'm no good at my book cleaning.
spk_0 I'd swap anytime.
spk_0 Said Harry, hallowing.
spk_0 I had loads of practice with the durses,
spk_0 answering Lockhart's fan mail he'd been nightmare.
spk_0 Finally, afternoon seemed him all the way.
spk_0 And in what seemed like no time, it was five minutes to eight.
spk_0 And Harry was dragging his feet along the second floor corridor to Lockhart's office.
spk_0 He greeted his teeth and knocked.
spk_0 The door flew open and once.
spk_0 Lockhart beamed out at him.
spk_0 Ah, he's that squally bag.
spk_0 He said, come in Harry, come in.
spk_0 Channing brightly on the walls.
spk_0 By the light of many candles,
spk_0 there countless frame photographs of Lockhart.
spk_0 He had even signed a few of them.
spk_0 A large pile laid on his desk.
spk_0 You can't dress the envelopes.
spk_0 Lockhart told Harry as though there were a huge treat.
spk_0 This is one of the two Gladys,
spk_0 one of the blesses, huge fan of mine.
spk_0 The minister snailed by,
spk_0 hey, let Lockhart's voice wash over him,
spk_0 he was saying, mm-hmm, and right.
spk_0 And yeah.
spk_0 Now and then he quite raised like,
spk_0 maybe as a fickle friend, Harry,
spk_0 or a celebrity, a celebrity, does.
spk_0 Remember that.
spk_0 We cannot burn lower and lower,
spk_0 making the light dance over the many moving faces of Lockhart watching him.
spk_0 Harry moved his aging hand over what sound like a...
spk_0 a thosent envelope.
spk_0 Reading out Veronica's name leads address.
spk_0 It must be nearly time to leave.
spk_0 Harry, please let it be time to leave.
spk_0 And then he heard something,
spk_0 having quite a part from spitting,
spk_0 the dying candles and Lockhart's proudest fans.
spk_0 It was a voice, a voice to chill the bonerro,
spk_0 a voice of breathtaking ice-hold venom.
spk_0 Come, let me rip you, let me tear you, let me kill you.
spk_0 Harry gave a huge jump in a large lilac plot
spk_0 appeared on Veronica's smell of street.
spk_0 What? He said, Lally, I know.
spk_0 So Lockhart, six solid months at the top of the bestseller list,
spk_0 broke all records.
spk_0 No, it's a hair front of the lead, that voice.
spk_0 Sorry?
spk_0 So Lockhart, looking puzzled, what voice?
spk_0 That, that voice, didn't you hear it?
spk_0 Lockhart was looking at Harry and Harry assortagement.
spk_0 What are you talking about, Harry?
spk_0 Perhaps you're getting a little drassy.
spk_0 Great squat, look at the time.
spk_0 We've been here nearly for hours.
spk_0 I'd never have believed it, the time is flowing, hasn't it?
spk_0 Harry didn't answer.
spk_0 He was training his ears to hear the voice again.
spk_0 But there's no sound, except for Lockhart telling him
spk_0 that he wasn't expecting a treat like this every time he got detention.
spk_0 Feeling hazed, Harry left.
spk_0 It was so late that the Gryffinder Con room was almost empty.
spk_0 Harry went straight up to the dormitory.
spk_0 When he wasn't back yet, Harry pulled on his pajamas,
spk_0 by his tooth's bed and waited.
spk_0 Half an hour later, run and ride,
spk_0 nursing his right arm and bring a strong smell of polish into a dark room.
spk_0 My muscles have all seized up.
spk_0 He grounds, seeing on his bed, 14 times,
spk_0 he made me buff up that quage cup before he was satisfied.
spk_0 Then, I had another slug attack,
spk_0 all over the special award for services to the school.
spk_0 Took ages to shift this line.
spk_0 How was it with Lockhart?
spk_0 Keeping his voice so low, not to make no bold dinner,
spk_0 he missed.
spk_0 Harry told Ron exactly what he had heard.
spk_0 And Lockhart said he couldn't hear it, said Ron.
spk_0 Harry could see him frowning in the room, then.
spk_0 Do you think he was lying?
spk_0 But I don't get it.
spk_0 Even someone invisible would have had to open it all.
spk_0 I know, so Harry lying back is four-poster
spk_0 and staring at the canopy of the room.
spk_0 I don't get it either.
