spk_0 So, so this, this show is called the state of PCVR.

spk_0 And boy, it has been an unbelievably amazing year for PCVR so far.

spk_0 Actually, perhaps it's one of the best years of PCVR ever.

spk_0 It's crazy.

spk_0 So it's so fun to see every year this kind of article or PC is dead.

spk_0 And the whole, the whole medium has lost.

spk_0 And it's never going to, to really win or whatever.

spk_0 And I say bullshit.

spk_0 I absolutely say bullshit.

spk_0 Yeah, it might be, it might be not the right thing for, for meta to bank on it.

spk_0 And all these mobile games, it might not be super successful.

spk_0 But you know what?

spk_0 The foundation of VR.

spk_0 That's going to stay for sure.

spk_0 And it's the people who are watching this right now.

spk_0 It's the PCVR enthusiast who plays Sims, who, who love to fly in this,

spk_0 who race in this, who have their game that they go, go and love to play,

spk_0 who, who play those, you, you, you, VR games as well.

spk_0 And this is the real foundation, in my opinion, of VR.

spk_0 And that's for sure not going to go away.

spk_0 And so far this has been an unbelievably good year with so many cool headsets.

spk_0 Right?

spk_0 This is like, it's like crazy what we've seen, right?

spk_0 Absolutely.

spk_0 The thing is like, it depends where you sort of stand on this whole, is VR dead thing.

spk_0 Because there's obviously different elements to VR.

spk_0 And some of them are really like concrete it in.

spk_0 They are cemented into the industry.

spk_0 It's not just about playing games.

spk_0 In fact, the gaming side of VR is probably the one that's kind of holding out the moment,

spk_0 at a moment, you know, in terms of probably the most at risk.

spk_0 But I think in terms of like the commercial sector and training and that kind of thing.

spk_0 Oh, yeah, that's for sure.

spk_0 VR is really alive and kicking and people don't really realize it.

spk_0 In fact, I think Vario, I haven't watched it, but I think they did a, like a seminar or something on it.

spk_0 Say that VR is dead, but I think the idea I'm guessing behind that is that actually it's not dead at all.

spk_0 Look at all the industry here.

spk_0 People are making cars with VR and XR and obviously the flying side of things, you know.

spk_0 Flight training in VR is becoming huge now.

spk_0 It really is even in private pilots training in my local school.

spk_0 Down the road for me, starting to use VR as part of their sort of training.

spk_0 Because of the incredible immersion, you know, it's a death perception.

spk_0 Just we all know that. We all know why VR is amazing here, but exactly.

spk_0 You know, in terms of the industry itself, aside from all of the gaming stuff, that's never going to go away.

spk_0 That's actually just going to get bigger and bigger, you know.

spk_0 Yeah, but also, first of all, yes, this, first of all, this, exactly.

spk_0 But also gaming, also gaming is not going to go away.

spk_0 But it does not need to replace flat gaming, you know, I also enjoy flat gaming.

spk_0 Next to enjoying the VR, you know, I think it's okay.

spk_0 Yeah, sorry.

spk_0 It doesn't, it doesn't have to, it doesn't have to like replace flat gaming.

spk_0 I can, I think it can just coexist together and that's fine too.

spk_0 And and therefore no VR is not dead.

spk_0 It's alive and kicking and yeah, it's good that we're here together.

spk_0 So this has been really good to you.

spk_0 It has been an crazy year for I don't really remember like it's only May.

spk_0 Well, it's just the end of May now and to June the first half of the year.

spk_0 I've never had such a busy time on the channel this year.

spk_0 Like to have shown already three high end headsets and soon four.

spk_0 Like, as just I've never ever showed that many like really big deal VR headsets.

spk_0 And just a short amount of time like that.

spk_0 I mean, it's just mind blowing really.

spk_0 And I know, I know that, you know, it's a shame that some of the other mainstream sort of VR content creators out there just focus on the quest.

spk_0 I totally understand why they do that because it's budget friendly and screen.

spk_0 Obviously, that's where all the games are, but there is so much more to VR than just playing Quest 3 games, you know.

spk_0 And this is other exciting side that actually me and said, you know, we seem to be at the forefront of showing the sort of more PCR higher end stuff.

spk_0 Because we love it so much. And that is alive and kicking like wow, it is crazy.

spk_0 So yeah, so this year, exactly. So it's not even the whole it's just half of the year, right?

spk_0 Not even completely half of the year. And we get the mega next super light 8K coming out right now and the people are getting it right now.

spk_0 We have the big screen beyond two, which is a great headset.

spk_0 And obviously we're also going to talk about it.

spk_0 Yeah, yeah, I was going to demonstrate that as you were saying that I can't find it.

spk_0 But I must really say the Quest 3 really is an incredible headset.

spk_0 And you know what I want to say something because you made a video about the Quest 3 on a 5090 and you're and you know like there's so many people who were like talking shit in the comments section.

spk_0 I was like, what's going on?

spk_0 You know, this is so ridiculous because this headset is really good.

spk_0 This is this is really for for people who want to start with VR.

spk_0 You know, that's that is most probably the right headset for you.

spk_0 You can forget about all this show today.

spk_0 We're going to talk about all these high and headsets.

spk_0 But most probably this headset will do because it looks so good, especially with virtual desktop.

spk_0 Yes, it doesn't have like it is play port but with virtual desktop, it is it looks so good.

spk_0 Probably you get like 75 or 80% of the visuals of the other high and headsets that we're going to talk about.

spk_0 You know, there's diminishing returns. Yes, all the other headsets that we're going to talk about are better.

spk_0 But they are not like 1500 euros better or how much more expensive they are as compared to the Quest 3.

spk_0 So I love that you did that video and I also want to do that video.

spk_0 And it's not because meta has bought us or anything.

spk_0 No, obviously not because we're not talking about the Quest most of the time, right?

spk_0 But really, if you're watching this and you want to get into PCVR and you hear us say,

spk_0 or the Play for Dream is now the best wireless and loan heads that it might be.

spk_0 But it's probably for you, it's it's okay to buy a $500 a Quest 3 and you're going to be good.

spk_0 It's funny because the reason why like if it was my money and I only had to buy a VR headset or a new GPU,

spk_0 I would probably go for the most powerful GPU I can get first and then get a headset and the Quest 3 with a $50.90.

spk_0 Absolutely.

spk_0 Freaking rocks because you can super sample it and it looks amazing.

spk_0 You'll get great frame rate.

spk_0 You won't feel sick and it will just absolutely be amazing.

spk_0 And the thing is the Quest 3 is still a very high resolution headset when it comes to your GPU because VR is insanely hard to run.

spk_0 So sometimes it actually makes sense to get the most powerful computer you can get and then get a headset which can easily be run by that GPU rather than just all the time going for the most crazy high resolution ppd headset out there.

spk_0 And then that way you're always playing catch up.

spk_0 So there is this way you can look at it definitely and thankfully most people did understand that video.

spk_0 It does make me laugh because if I show the Quest 3 people are like,

spk_0 boring, this is crap. Why are you showing a Quest 3 when you got a $50.90?

spk_0 Okay, I'll show the Crystal Sea for then.

spk_0 Can't believe you're showing the Crystal Sea for the Quest 3.

spk_0 Exactly.

spk_0 Nobody can afford the Mega Necks or whatever.

spk_0 So the Quest 3 is crazy.

spk_0 Like, you know, for flat screen gaming is completely pointless.

spk_0 Just keep your 40 series card.

spk_0 You're 4070 or whatever or the AMD equivalent.

spk_0 But when it comes to VR with that extra VRAM, the 5090 has as well as probably other, you know, so the chipset or whatever it is, you know, that's making it just absolutely rock a high resolution.

spk_0 That thing just eats high resolution for breakfast.

spk_0 And I think you'll really enjoy that.

spk_0 Especially with the super.

spk_0 Oh, yeah, yeah.

spk_0 I'm super good to enjoy it.

spk_0 Yeah, so we did that.

spk_0 Yeah, absolutely.

spk_0 So, so that's that's going to be good.

spk_0 And lots of headsets to try again with that super powerful 5090.

spk_0 So I was fine so far with my 4090 mobile with my laptop, right, which is like, yeah, actually only a 3090.

spk_0 But I did, I did.

spk_0 Yeah, also experience that I want to have more, right?

spk_0 Especially with the Mega Nex.

spk_0 Like, yeah, you need more.

spk_0 You need more to really, really like get it up there where it's even sharper.

spk_0 Yeah, especially with the S3.

spk_0 So I really love this headset.

spk_0 And I still love it.

spk_0 And yeah, with that S4 driver, obviously, it's even better.

spk_0 But I must also say that I'm not so happy about, yeah, about the company.

spk_0 Yeah, about the service, you know, honestly, I've been so upset about this.

spk_0 Yeah, yeah, I'm fine.

spk_0 You know how.

spk_0 So you, yeah, yeah, okay.

spk_0 Yeah, but yeah, yeah.

spk_0 So I'm really, I'm really not so happy about it.

spk_0 So yeah, where to start?

spk_0 I think honestly speaking, I don't think it was a good launch.

spk_0 It was a pretty bad launch.

spk_0 Right.

spk_0 So they did get the headset out in time, but it was just plagued with problems.

spk_0 So I was happy.

spk_0 It did work on my computer, but on some other people's computer, like when they were updating it, the headset got stuck at a certain percentage.

spk_0 Also still now, the problem still exists right now.

spk_0 Like my teammate, Marco, he just got his and he just did the firmware update.

spk_0 Okay, stuck at 55% or whatever.

spk_0 So it's good.

spk_0 He can still use the old firmware with that S4 is three hack and it makes everything okay.

spk_0 Yeah, but you should not rely on the community to make this amazing, you know.

spk_0 Like I'm just thinking about some, some person who doesn't know about these hacks, who doesn't know, okay, you can, you can make this a native steam VR headset,

spk_0 which is incredible.

spk_0 But you have to rely on the community, you have to be on some discord servers to know that I'm just thinking about the standard guy who heard about the headset, who ordered it, who got it.

spk_0 Okay, probably it got stuck in in the customs, like for many German customers and then there was no official.

spk_0 Yeah, there was no official information from shift all what was going on, you know, like on the communication side.

spk_0 Wow, they are really lacking unfortunately, I really, I love them, you know, I love the team.

spk_0 I know them, I met TK many times, he's such a great guy and everything, you know, but unfortunately, I must say that the, yeah, the communication is lacking a lot.

spk_0 And also the, yeah, like why can a community member make something like so good, which is better than the software from them, you know.

spk_0 For me, like, of course, we were the first people to try this, you know, and we, and I was very lucky that TK, he came to the UK and I had my, yeah, even came to you.

spk_0 It's a cool, I know, and I loved it, of course, it's micro OLED 4K, look fantastic.

spk_0 Yeah, it's super nice guy and definitely like they all are and I just, I just don't understand where it's all gone a bit wrong with that because I expected the customer service to be second to none as the headset that I experienced was learned in terms of the panel quality, the everything just felt great.

spk_0 But I will say guys, I will quickly just quit, you know, mention that this headset right now, my mega next is currently dead, it's ripped.

spk_0 I try to update the firmware to the latest firmware.

spk_0 And I use this all the time.

spk_0 So people have a better return policy if something's wrong, you know, because especially for the, for the mega nex, it really depends on your face shape.

spk_0 So I'm happy I get super close to the lenses.

spk_0 So I don't have any problems with headset and with the S boys, heck or a driver, you even get more FOV, right?

spk_0 You can get more FOV. It's really good.

spk_0 But still you should get closer to the lenses, right, to really enjoy it.

spk_0 Yeah, for some people, it will just be too small. The FOV is quite funny because even now it's very comfortable for me.

spk_0 I do use it for three or four hours. No problem.

spk_0 And that surprised me because in all honesty, the beyond two is a better headset really so better all round head set in a sense that it will give you a lot less problems.

spk_0 Probably the optics are far better than the beyond two as well. It's a great headset.

spk_0 But the second, the optics are better. What do you mean?

spk_0 The lenses in the beyond two are way better than the.

spk_0 I don't think they're actually better. I think probably they are better.

spk_0 This is what really I can believe in my review because I was so excited about the Mega Necks because of initially the lenses.

spk_0 I was thinking about the beyond one thinking compared to the beyond one.

spk_0 The Mega Necks is absolutely way better.

spk_0 It's like a generational leap.

spk_0 And I was kept sad all this stuff.

spk_0 And then like three seconds later, the beyond two came out and then completely was a hammer blow in terms of optics for a lot of headsets in my opinion.

spk_0 Like I think what big screen beyond have done with that small form factor.

spk_0 Really like the optics are right up there with like the quest in my opinion and far better than I think actually the quest three's lenses are still better than the beyond than the beyond two lens.

spk_0 Yeah, that's but but really the beyond two exactly when it came out we were like what the beyond tools are just the mega necks is just coming out and now we get the next thing while there was a very exciting time.

spk_0 And what I'm saying is the beyond two is probably the best headset for most PC VR enthusiasts.

spk_0 Because it really it really is a great headset.

spk_0 It doesn't have the super high for care resolution and displays but honestly not so many people have a 5090 where you can really enjoy like the super high resolutions.

spk_0 And that's why I mean for most people out there who have like a 39 year what a 3080.

spk_0 This is perfect. This is so good and it does really solve the problems of the beyond one right actually both are very similar right but it does solve the problems of the beyond one which was the lenses were bad of the beyond one and you cannot change the IPD at all.

spk_0 So it's kind of tough to to sell it if you want to sell it but now you can more easily sell it to other people if you want to sell it because now there is IPD adjustment is not so easy the IPD adjustment right you have to have this little tool and then adjusted but it is there so you can do it.

spk_0 So yeah it's a great little headset and it's going to get better once we have that other head strap you know that the one where yeah the whole yeah because right now I'm not using it so much honestly speaking because I'm not a big fan of that silicone thing you know it's still compatible with that silicon face gasket that they made for me because after that iPhone scan yeah I don't like that silicone.

spk_0 I said that so often here on the channel it fits yes it fits like a glove perfect but then there's no air coming to your eyes you know and then it's hot here in Taiwan I'm sweating and it's like it's super uncomfortable you know they want to make the most comfortable headset but then with that silicone and fortunately for me it's not comfortable.

spk_0 So that's why it's not happening so much on the channel you know it's like I'm not thinking about it so much but probably it is going to change once that's whole thing comes and then it's going to have a strap similar to the the mega next right where it floats in front of your eyes.

spk_0 So how's the feeling with you with the beyond two is it like a headset that you're using a lot or that you can recommend to all people.

spk_0 Well I mean yeah I can absolutely recommend it I mean wow it's it's a phenomenal headset really and for most people like you say I think big screen there it was a genius move actually using the same panels though it sounds daft but actually not focusing on the PPD war of making sure oh this is going to be 50,000 by 90,000 or whatever you know just actually just stick with a resolution we can all damn use.

spk_0 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, which was 2560 per eye something like that and just focus pardon the pun on the optics instead think think about all the other things you know keep that resolution because it's that resolution is sharp enough it is sharp enough admittedly when you when you have a mega next and you can compare it you're like oh.

spk_0 Right exactly that's the difference I did exactly the A.V. comparison and I was like.

spk_0 Yeah, damn like.

spk_0 It's weird it's such a weird thing because like I used to be on the but I did post about three videos back to back of the beyond two or a few weeks ago I think it was and I really enjoyed it I really and actually using it as my daily drive I used it for two weeks solid and thought right I'm just going to forget about all the other headsets you're using.

spk_0 I really enjoyed it and I started to think I don't need any more resolution than this I really don't the field of view is pretty decent.

spk_0 Exactly.

spk_0 It's even for me that's fine it's okay I can't wait to use it yeah I get 108 degrees horizontal with that headset it's really impressive as well as a vertical I think it's like 100 or more more you know so it all makes sense and then the funny thing is because sometimes having a lot of things that I can't do is really good.

spk_0 I think all the headsets can be a pain you know because I was content I was content with my beyond two I thought I'm a happy man yeah but no you know what today I'm just going to use the Megan X and then oh shit this looks exactly better and I'm like torn again.

spk_0 I had exactly the same feeling so yes the beyond two is great and yes they have the big E.V. it's great you know but then exactly then I put back on the Megan X and okay it just looks much better.

spk_0 The field factor is higher the resolution is simply better and yeah there you have it.

spk_0 And then for me especially that that comfort factor with the Megan X.

spk_0 Yes I'm just simply better so so big screen cannot come out fast enough with that other strap with it all the other holostrap and then also of course with the big screen beyond to E with an eye tracking that we're going to check out right.

spk_0 We're going to check it out with flat seams and so on and so forth so that is also a big thing right I'm not sure I'm not convinced whether we're going to get like dynamic favorite your engine with the eye track.

spk_0 That's what they said in the beginning you're right you're right they said that in the beginning probably it's only for the social games which is such a shame.

spk_0 Yeah you're right just imagine 2560 per eye 75 hertz as well with eye tracking wow that you would hit 75 frames per second all day long at the nature resolution even super sampling it in no sims it would just be a really really big feature but you know they can they can only do what they can do that you're talking of like the real boundaries of what's possible in VR for that form factor right now and I I applaud them for for really you know.

spk_0 Concentrate in on the form factor and the visuals and just keeping the weight down as much as possible and I like how the beyond to is doing its own thing even against the mega next it's doing its own thing and I respect that I think you know for sure it is the better headset it's a great headset and also it's cheaper if you already have the base stations are not what mechanics also needs to be a stations right so it is cheaper it is a great headset I hope they come out with the other Halo strap as soon as possible.

spk_0 And it's a headset that is right for a lot of people you know it's it's really really it's really good headset I did a comparison the beyond to versus mega next and that was such a difficult video to make because I really think about it and I my conclusion is spoiler alert is just for every much most people the beyond to is the winner but for me personally and what I like in VR and what is important is that I like to do it.

spk_0 And I'm so important to me the mega next is the winner but actually for most people it does make sense that beyond to is the overall sort of easier to get on with headset really and it just works there's no issues with it when you I updated the firmware on it today it's like so easy to press the button but yeah but you know that's that's a point that's also really that's such a good point this headset just works yeah you don't you don't have to yeah

spk_0 get some extra software like for the mega next which is actually not as good as some hack that you can just use right then if you don't like it okay you can send it back yes there will be some restocking fee which I think is a fair thing to do yeah right yeah so yeah I agree like I personally like the mega next better for the device but for everything around it yes yeah beyond to yeah beyond exactly yeah yeah wow it's quite hard to be a long time to come it's a good thing.

spk_0 to the XARPR showcase to Germany, which is amazing, but it turned out that this unit

spk_0 They've got their own magic sauce going on.

spk_0 And they need to keep that secret because I think like I say, with this

spk_0 Ferret lens at the super, they are the best as Ferret lenses by.

spk_0 get rid of those chromatic aberrations with software.

spk_0 But in, um, in virtual desktop, I still saw quite a bit of, um, chromatic aberrations.

spk_0 Here, Gis, Gis writing, chromatic aberration issue is only with the 4K mode, however,

spk_0 with the 3K mode.

spk_0 And you can use that 4K mode in the device.

spk_0 And then chromatic aberrations get way better.

spk_0 is the Play4Dream 1500 euros better than the Quest 3?

spk_0 No, like for most people, no, the Quest 3 has better lenses.

spk_0 It's still good and not 1500 euros worse than the Play4Dream.

spk_0 But is the Play4Dream better?

spk_0 So for people for enthusiasts, like yes, right?

spk_0 But it's just like those last, the next step for people who want the next step,

spk_0 will always want to have the best they can consider it.

spk_0 For most people, Quest 3 really, really, really.

spk_0 Yeah, it makes sense.

spk_0 Yeah, Quest 3 is just one of those headsets you always come back to.

spk_0 Even I come back to it, you know, in our love.

spk_0 It's a great experience.

spk_0 Especially if I go traveling or just fancy playing some games,

spk_0 friends or whatever and the odd flight where I just fancy being wireless and I just want

spk_0 an hour flight, sightseeing or something.

spk_0 And it does everything really, really, wow.

spk_0 And it's scary.

spk_0 How good it is, really.

spk_0 Yeah, it's really incredibly good.

spk_0 So people who are new to VR and watching this for some reason,

spk_0 yeah, you can just get this like Steve and I absolutely recommend the Quest 3.

spk_0 And it's great.

spk_0 It's a no brainer.

spk_0 But you say everyone should start with a Quest 3.

spk_0 I agree.

spk_0

spk_0 Because I think the ease of use is to do it.

spk_0 How quickly you can get into VR and have a great time.

spk_0 That's the most important thing when you're new to VR is to have those, you know,

spk_0 those first experiences and then they'd be enjoyable.

spk_0 You know, you don't want to be messing around with swapping files,

spk_0 config files, updating firmware and getting frustrated.

spk_0 It's going to leave a bad taste in your mouth about how VR can be when it works and when everything,

spk_0 you know, it's just, you know, communicating together.

spk_0 It's just an amazing experience.

spk_0 And in fact, funny enough, I have been trying out a couple of flight sims in the Quest 3 recently.

spk_0 There's one called Dawn of Jets.

spk_0 I did get a software key for it.

spk_0 I was supposed to show on the channel I haven't just lack of time.

spk_0 But I must admit, there was something about just being in my living room,

spk_0 just chilling and then just switching the Quest on and switching this on after.

spk_0 We're about settings or V, you know, like performance and hand controls all work with the cockpit.

spk_0 And I was just flying around and stuff.

spk_0 And it was just a really relaxing time and it was all powered by the Quest.

spk_0 And that's someone who's a hardcore flight sim lid.

spk_0 I must admit, I did appreciate that just simplicity of it all, you know.

spk_0 Yeah, they do have some great standalone games as well.

spk_0 They're just fun.

spk_0 They're just fun to play.

spk_0 Yeah, absolutely.

spk_0 Yeah, great headset.

spk_0 Anyways, perfect.

spk_0 We have talked about all the headsets.

spk_0 I think we have, yeah.

spk_0 Now, right?

spk_0 So we kind of like, yeah, put it all together.

spk_0 What has been exciting?

spk_0 Oh, like, actually, no, we haven't talked about the Sony VR1.

spk_0 That I also have tried now.

spk_0 Finally, right?

spk_0 You know, at the MRTV XR hardware showcase, I got to try it.

spk_0 And then I kept it for quite a while.

spk_0 And yeah, I was positively surprised.

spk_0 Like, I had been only watching your videos.

spk_0 And I was like, wow, it must be incredible because you loved it so much.

spk_0 And yeah, I can understand you.

spk_0 It's really, really a good headset.

spk_0 I didn't like the comfort.

spk_0 The comfort, I didn't like it at all.

spk_0 But for the visuals, yes, it's even brighter than the Pyramix Crystal Super.

spk_0 It is, yeah, it is.

spk_0 Absolutely.

spk_0 And again, I think the best way I can describe the Sony VR1 is,

spk_0 it's doing its own thing again.

spk_0 Like, it's a very bespoke, very different option out there.

spk_0 That when you think about the whole sum of its parts

spk_0 and what it can do, it's really doing something

spk_0 that they know what the headset can do.

spk_0 You know, especially the ultimate edition.

spk_0 Of course, it's extremely expensive.

spk_0 So it really is that super niche high end.

spk_0 But there are people out there that do want what the Sony VR1 can offer.

spk_0 There is.

spk_0 There are people out there.

spk_0 I'm I get it.

spk_0 It's really easy.

spk_0 And like, oh, it's amazing.

spk_0 Like this cockpit, you can mask your own cockpit

spk_0 and have it really, you know, really nice and sort of integrated.

spk_0 And you can switch between the modes very, very easily.

spk_0 Of course, you've got that really sharp resolution.

spk_0 What surprised me?

spk_0 And I find this really funny, actually.

spk_0 I do wonder what Sony could do with a 50-PPD panel.

spk_0 Because to my eyes, and I'm really picky

spk_0 with it comes to visual fidelity.

spk_0 The VR1 at full native resolution is kind of almost a sharp,

spk_0 as I see it.

spk_0 And I say that because that feel factor that we talk about.

spk_0 There is a difference there.

spk_0 And you can notice that there's more of a screen noise

spk_0 or a panel noise because of the lower resolution.

spk_0 I wouldn't call it screen door.

spk_0 But there is a sort of panel texture that you notice.

spk_0 This, you know, when you're looking at tiny, tiny text,

spk_0 you can notice that you're looking at a display,

spk_0 whether with a 50-PPD, like you're getting so close to

spk_0 retina level that you kind of just see it as you would,

spk_0 you know, your own eyes.

spk_0 But you're talking of really being mega picky there.

spk_0 But for a headset, that is so much low

spk_0 in terms of the 35-PPD versus 50-PPD.

spk_0 It's doing an amazing job to be able to mix it up

spk_0 with that kind of PPD.

spk_0 Oh, yes, please.

spk_0 I'll have a coffee.

spk_0 Thank you.

spk_0 Oh, this is back.

spk_0 Right.

spk_0 And you get a coffee, perfect.

spk_0 And I get a coffee for saying that.

spk_0 Yeah, great.

spk_0 But no, but this trouble is,

spk_0 weird to VR1, and I've said this from the beginning,

spk_0 is the comfort for me.

spk_0 I just struggle so much with the comfort.

spk_0 It is so-

spk_0 That's the point for a heavy.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 And it's one of those headsets that after about two hours,

spk_0 I feel it.

spk_0 And I'm, I, I, I, I, it mine big headsets, you know,

spk_0 I ride a motorbike sometimes for days on end

spk_0 with a massive helmet on and stuff.

spk_0 I don't mind, you know, a heavy headset.

spk_0 But it's just the way it's distributed.

spk_0 It's, it's, it's so far out of your head.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 It's a bit like holding a bucket full of water.

spk_0 It's harder to do it like that.

spk_0 And it is close to your chest.

spk_0 It's that kind of weight distribution problem.

spk_0 And that's the only main problem I've always had with the VR1.

spk_0 But when it comes to, but it's nice, what it can do.

spk_0 It is phenomenal.

spk_0 It's really, it's really cool.

spk_0 I must, I must also say, I really enjoyed my time with it.

spk_0 Unfortunately, I don't have it now.

spk_0 But yeah, it's like, you would love it even more with a 5090.

spk_0 I think so.

spk_0 I think I think I really think so.

spk_0 Yeah, I really was already like very happy with the 4090

spk_0 when I when I checked it on my 4090 PC.

spk_0 And yeah, the brightness, the FV,

spk_0 zero, Mura or a very little Mura, like less Mura than the super.

spk_0 It's, it's a really nice headset.

spk_0 And for people who want mixed reality, right,

spk_0 who want to have this kind of flight sim mixed reality,

spk_0 I even don't think it's expensive.

spk_0 Really?

spk_0 Like, you really have to think you have to put it into perspective.

spk_0 Yes.

spk_0 What are you getting here?

spk_0 You know, like, okay, this is your hobby.

spk_0 Your hobby is flight simming.

spk_0 You build that that um,

spk_0 flight, how is the cockpit?

spk_0 You build your real cockpit.

spk_0 And then you can see your real cockpit and virtual stuff.

spk_0 Come on, I don't know how expensive is it now?

spk_0 Like 5,000 or 4,000 something?

spk_0 I don't know.

spk_0 What's that version with the mixed reality?

spk_0 The ultimate version.

spk_0 How expensive is it?

spk_0 I think it's a, I can't remember what it is now.

spk_0 I have a look actually.

spk_0 Because I'm actually on the, I'm just looking now because I've got the

spk_0 VAR at XR 4 up because that is the only other headset

spk_0 that actually competes with it.

spk_0 You can't think of this as a quest,

spk_0 you know, you can't compare it to a quest 3 for God's sake.

spk_0 You can't compare it.

spk_0 I think you can compare it to the super actually,

spk_0 although not the mixed reality,

spk_0 because obviously the mixed reality on the super is absolutely horrific.

spk_0 But when you think about the VR visuals, you can.

spk_0 But there's a whole package like you say said,

spk_0 when you're looking for that incredible MR experience that integrates with VR

spk_0 and the software and everything, it's a really, it's a high-end experience.

spk_0 I think that's where 1,200, 99 euros.

spk_0 Oh, look at that.

spk_0 Excluding of Exclunetex.

spk_0 So yeah, okay.

spk_0 It's a lot.

spk_0 The thing is, it's not worth it for a lot of people.

spk_0 For most people, it's not worth it.

spk_0 It's an interesting, a specific group of people.

spk_0 Or a specific group of people that are crazy, no joking.

spk_0 The one that makes reality, that's the headset to get.

spk_0 But what I saw, I really enjoyed also the lenses,

spk_0 like the size of the lenses.

spk_0 There are at least as big as these headphones.

spk_0 Because they're just hilarious.

spk_0 They're ridiculous.

spk_0 Look at that.

spk_0 They're just so good.

spk_0 Everybody has to print this out if you have a 3D printer and a super.

spk_0 This is so out of proportion.

spk_0 They're so already a bit like it makes the actual headset look tiny compared to the moon.

spk_0 Keep them on the beyond too, please.

spk_0 Yeah, so also really the the Sombnium VR1, we must mention it as well.

spk_0 For people who love flight sims and who want to see the cockpit,

spk_0 right, who want to have this mixed reality experience,

spk_0 it is a really exceptional headset as well.

spk_0 So, yeah.

spk_0 So that's something that I also wanted to talk about.

spk_0 Absolutely.

spk_0 Anything to add to that?

spk_0 Yeah, I'm just thinking back again like...

spk_0 I think the Sombnium VR1, the only thing I feel is it was released far too late, in my opinion.

spk_0 I think if the VR1 would have been released a couple of years ago,

spk_0 during the very airy days and that kind of thing,

spk_0 it would have had a lot more traction.

spk_0 I think people would have respected what their headset can do more,

spk_0 but because of...

spk_0 Unfortunately, it has a lot of competition now, especially with the Crystal Super,

spk_0 and I think...

spk_0 Yeah, now it's hard, right now.

spk_0 That's just...

spk_0 It is hard to recommend the VR1 now.

spk_0 It is hard because it's so expensive.

spk_0 It's not really just a viable, really, for that extra...

spk_0 You're really going to have to want that, those features, like with just mentioned,

spk_0 with the MRR and everything.

spk_0 Yeah, I think that's a good thing.

spk_0 People have fun.

spk_0 Yeah, it's a lie.

spk_0 For those people, it's fine.

spk_0 And it is...

spk_0 And whenever I use it, I think it's another thing I should mention is,

spk_0 whenever I do use it, it feels very special, like it is a special headset.

spk_0 It feels very different from everything else.

spk_0 In terms of the visual clarity, it is exceptional.

spk_0 I've always said it was sharper than the Crystal Light, sorry,

spk_0 with the 35ppd, but to think that it actually is, you know,

spk_0 as close as it could possibly be with the Super,

spk_0 is a testament to the engineers and what they've been able to achieve,

spk_0 what they'll be able to e-cat with those optics, very, very clever.

spk_0 But unfortunately, because it is such a niche headset,

spk_0 they're not going to sell that many of them.

spk_0 It is expensive.

spk_0 It is very expensive.

spk_0 And especially for high school students like you.

spk_0 Oh, yes, absolutely.

spk_0 Fresh out of college, you know.

spk_0 Yeah, yeah.

spk_0 There is no way.

spk_0 There's no way to get it.

spk_0 Oh, you make it look really comfortable.

spk_0 Yeah, yeah.

spk_0 I'm telling you.

spk_0 Yeah, the Somnium VR1 also really needs to be mentioned here for sure.

spk_0 So it's very nice visuals, really.

spk_0 Verna's very cool visual, super bright, probably the brightest visuals

spk_0 in a VR headset right now.

spk_0 And yeah, it's beautiful.

spk_0 It's beautifully built and very good headset.

spk_0 Those headsets are out there now to buy.

spk_0 You will have more FOV for the Crystal Super.

spk_0 And it will be brighter.

spk_0 And you're going to have a higher resolution.

spk_0 But the Quest 3 is a great headset.

spk_0 So it will not completely blow your mind away in my opinion.

spk_0 Yeah, it's like you said at the beginning,

spk_0 Seb, it's a point now where we're getting diminishing returns.

spk_0 And it all depends on what type of VR person you are.

spk_0 If you like me and you're like, look at these gauges here and all that tiny text,

spk_0 then yes, the big screen beyond will make a difference.

spk_0 And the Super will be a big difference as well again on top of that.

spk_0 But if you're just sort of enjoying first person shooters,

spk_0 you just want to better image.

spk_0 Then yeah, you will notice it, but it's not going to be a massive, huge leap.

spk_0 Because the Quest 3 is already very, very good actually for what it does.

spk_0 Right.

spk_0 And it's even better now.

spk_0 So it's up as we know.

spk_0 Totally agree, diminishing returns.

spk_0 But yeah, you will have better colors.

spk_0 You will have better resolution with both headsets.

spk_0 And especially with the Beyond 2, you're going to have all it blacks.
