We were told by the realtor that our roof was replaced in 2022 and it passed inspection.

So very unexpectedly, we had to replace our entire fucking roof, which as if this renovation didn't cost enough.

There was a bunch of shit and problems that came with that because there were some permit issues from the previous owner.

And so we finally get the roof replaced.

It takes a month.

They it passes inspection, by the way, for the permit, which means it's fully done and sealed.

24 hours after a pass inspection, we have our first rain.

And we're dropping the kids off at school.

Thank God they finished the inspection on the finished roof because it rained last night.

And he's like, I know, right?

And after we drop the kids off, our routine is on the way home.

We stop at the new house and see who's there.

And we walk in the kitchen and there's a fucking community pool on my floor.

And I look up and the entire kitchen roof is leaking like the area where the AC unit is on top of the house.

It's all leaking.

And we had custom cabinets that took months to be made, installed a week prior.

And the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling from the counter.

And all of the water was sitting on the face of those cabinets the entire night and they were all wilted and completely ruined.

As well as the face of the lower cabinets because it was dripping down and so they were all wilted.

And then the community pool area was just sitting on top of that brand new installed wood and it was all warped.

So also how to get completely replaced.

So, David and I literally just sit in the kitchen and laughed.

We were like, because if we do not laugh, we will cry.

Thank God our contractor because our contractor didn't do our roof.

Our contractor was there within 20 minutes because we were calling the roofing company and they were not answering.

They eventually got there and everything is fixed and great.

But our contractor ran in, helped us clean it up.

He opened up the cabinet guide to take the cabinets down, opened up the ceiling, tried to see what was coming from.

And then the roof people came and then yeah.

Anyways, that's the story about my roof.

But that was what we were going through.

And now we're less than a month from moving in.

Okay. How did you decide to go all in on social media financially, brand consistently

management? Like what made you officially like want to go all in on social media? That's a great

question. Well, the first thing was I had to make sure my family was taking care of. And it's so

funny because I did both for so long. I don't think people realize that. Like I left nursing

October of 2023 after working in the PICU for four years. And I had signed with my management

in the May prior to that. So I had over a million followers February of 2023 and was doing brand

deal sufficient enough to support my family. And then some like obviously I was making way more

than I was as a nurse. Totally. But nursing was consistent. And not only that, like my entire

life I wanted to be a nurse. Yeah. And so it was hard for me to leave because it was like I was

mourning something that I always dreamed of doing. And I still miss it to this day. Like I wasn't

fully ready to let go of that. I feel like I kind of had to because it was getting a little like

lines are being blurred when it came to like patients recognizing me like patients parents. Totally.

And the same thing happened to David and law enforcement. I feel like that just automatically puts

a target on your back no matter what you're doing. And so yeah, I ended up signing with my management

in May. And that was the first meeting I had where they were like this is what you should be

making for a brand deal. Is it? I was like not to be morbid. But like the shit I was doing in the

PICU. Oh, people don't understand the things you see as a PICU nurse, especially the level on trauma.

they would get flagged immediately. Yeah. So and and I'm my raise for the year was I think it was

73 cents or something. It wasn't even a dollar. And so I was like, I'm sorry, I should be making

how much money. And it was all fine and dandy. And like I did so many brand deals and it was

saving so much money. But I was doing both at the same time. So working as a nurse in, oh,

I had gone to aesthetics by them. So I left PICU and I was working as an aesthetic nurse.

But I was like wow, to grow on social media like you have to be so consistent. And so I was like,

I can't film when I'm at work or I have to film on my days off. I'm just with my kids and then go

to work to be able to upload because I'm obviously just signing with a management. And I'm like trying

to get brand deals and like stay relevant and do my job on social media, but also balance my job

as a nurse. And so it wasn't until about probably six months in with my management that I kind of

started filtering nursing out of my content and realizing people liked my personal life more,

like that was clicking with people more. And I was like, okay, I feel like I could do this.

That was your thing too is I was like, can't like, is this what you want to do? Like you want to

do this because nursing gave me like normalcy. Yeah. You know, and I also loved it. So

I was like, I don't know, I was gonna say I started to cook. I'm so sorry. Um, so oh, so the main

thing that I was like, okay, I can do this was my boss, Lita at Quantum, who shout out to her.

She's I still go to see her for my boat talks and my leisure removal, just the best person ever.

She was like, we will always be here. Like if this isn't work out for you, I'll

hire you right back. Like I think you should try it. And I was like, thank you for saying that

because I would have never taken the leap because I would I kept thinking like what if I can't get

school. They have a roof over their head. Like that's what matters to me. And so when I realized it

was going to be consistent and we also had enough money to save and invest and you know, buy our

have the ability to do it when we were in nursing a car. But yeah, did that make sense?
