spk_0 It rises tomorrow night. We'll get into the details of that.

spk_0 All right, hang on to that while we go through the week's highlights.

spk_0 We kick off the week with summer this week.

spk_0 Basically it's going to feel like it.

spk_0 The first half of the week and then we sharply transition back to fall when we get through the daily details.

spk_0 We'll talk about that.

spk_0 Our drought status is still considered abnormally dry along with about 65 to 70% of the state.

spk_0 However, every portion of the state is now in some kind of drought.

spk_0 So, and the outer cape is in more severe drought.

spk_0 They're not in severe drought, but they are drier than we are.

spk_0 So, something to keep in mind.

spk_0 This week we lose 19 minutes and 29 seconds of daylight.

spk_0 Sunrise will now be after 6.45 am.

spk_0 And sunset is now approaching 6 p.m.

spk_0 Man, it's getting late earlier and earlier every day.

spk_0 Our rain chance this week looks like mostly Wednesday.

spk_0 It might be a washout.

spk_0 We're not 100% sure.

spk_0 It could be late Tuesday night into Wednesday.

spk_0 A strong cold front comes through.

spk_0 And we go from the upper 70s to near 80 on Monday and Tuesday.

spk_0 A head of the front and only a high temperature in the mid 50s behind the front.

spk_0 Talk about the details of that coming up here in a second.

spk_0 But watching Wednesday for a potential washout.

spk_0 Pick of the week is Monday.

spk_0 High temperature 79 degrees and sunny.

spk_0 If you've been drawing this amazing weekend weather, the crescendo of this is Monday.

spk_0 It's going to be incredible.

spk_0 The tropics are relatively quiet.

spk_0 There is a disturbance forming, but looks like it's going to remain out to sea.

spk_0 But we'll keep an eye on that.

spk_0 And the full moon, although I won't give you the name of it, the full moon rises Monday night at 5.54 p.m.

spk_0 And it's always fun to go watch out over the ocean.

spk_0 That's one of the joys of being here on the ocean.

spk_0 It's watching the moon rise.

spk_0 So 5.54 for full moon rise tomorrow night Monday, the sixth.

spk_0 If you're listening here on the seventh, no, the sixth, the sixth.

spk_0 If you're listening here on Sunday, the fall foliage update.

spk_0 We are probably two weeks away from our peak ish.

spk_0 The way they're saying things are working this year is because of the drought.

spk_0 The peak is fast and furious.

spk_0 The leaves change quick and drop.

spk_0 So that's everything to do with the lack of water in the trees.

spk_0 So we're coming up on it.

spk_0 Lot to great areas of color.

spk_0 I don't know if the leaves have fallen off by the tree.

spk_0 Near the drive through it, gone through two days in green bush.

spk_0 But if you have not seen that tree, that tree is striking.

spk_0 It normally is spectacular.

spk_0 So kind of awesome.

spk_0 And I'll be looking for some foliage.

spk_0 I'm going to be changing a bunch in the next couple of weeks.

spk_0 And then a little preview of the Columbus Day weekend.

spk_0 We'll get to when we get to our daily detailed information here.

spk_0 So all right.

spk_0 Here is the week's preview today.

spk_0 If you're listening on Sunday, more sunshine, high temperature 76, low temperature 58.

spk_0 So a spectacular day today.

spk_0 If you've been out already Monday, the pick of the week, high temperature 79, low temperature 59 and sunny.

spk_0 Tuesday, still pretty awesome.

spk_0 Partly cloudy high temperature 77, low temperature 64.

spk_0 And again, partly cloudy.

spk_0 Wednesday, that cold front comes through.

spk_0 It's a big transition day.

spk_0 Wednesday high temperature down to 67, low temperature 46, rain.

spk_0 Right, rain all day.

spk_0 Might be a quick shot with the cold front.

spk_0 We just don't know yet.

spk_0 So stay tuned to the Facebook group.

spk_0 I'll keep you updated Thursday, though, does look like the clear out.

spk_0 How about this high temperature Thursday 57.

spk_0 That is over 20 degrees cooler than the beginning of the week.

spk_0 Oh, low temperature Thursday night 44.

spk_0 Buckle up for that and windy.

spk_0 It's going to be windy Thursday too.

spk_0 Friday, we warm up just a little bit.

spk_0 High temperature Friday 62.

spk_0 Low temperature Friday night 46 and sunny all day Friday.

spk_0 And then for the Columbus day weekend, high temperature 66, low temperature 52 and partly cloudy on Saturday.

spk_0 And then partly cloudy high temperature 63, low temperature 52 on Sunday.

spk_0 And then a little preview of Monday, chance of showers on Monday, high temperature 64, low temperature 55.

spk_0 So the two of the three days for the long weekend look awesome.

spk_0 So there you have it.

spk_0 That is the week.
