spk_0 We're going to start out today talking about the Monday night game.

spk_0 I'm not going to tell you that I watched that game and said, wow, the cliff came last night

spk_0 for the Chiefs because yeah, they're two and three.

spk_0 All of them, those losses were very close, one score games, the kind that they won all

spk_0 of last year.

spk_0 So maybe this is just some luck leveling out.

spk_0 Plus, the Chiefs still don't have Rishi Rice, who they'll get back from his suspension

spk_0 for week seven, so not this coming weekend, but the weekend after.

spk_0 I can make all sorts of excuses.

spk_0 Plus I would argue Patrick Mahomes was still wonderful in the game last night.

spk_0 Plus I would argue that the Chiefs maintained their desire, let's call it that way, to

spk_0 not be such a dink and dunk offense.

spk_0 It really does feel like some of the aggression we remember from past years is back for Kansas

spk_0 City.

spk_0 And it was probably even curbed a little bit by Jacksonville's defense playing really

spk_0 far back most of the night.

spk_0 In other words, I'm trying to put together the case that it would be super dumb to call

spk_0 the Chiefs cooked.

spk_0 But at the very least it feels like you can say, I mean, you could really see some cracks.

spk_0 Their leading Russia continues to be Mahomes.

spk_0 Xavier Worthy, who was questionable with a bad ankle, played but also came off the field

spk_0 injured at one point and at times seemed to be after that a little bit of a decoy.

spk_0 Still six catches and 42 yards, but didn't get loose like he did against the Ravens last

spk_0 week.

spk_0 And maybe we've learned something about the Ravens.

spk_0 And so maybe we're a little less impressed by the Chiefs in week four.

spk_0 The other guys Hollywood Brown and Taekwondo, absolutely benefit in theory and sometimes

spk_0 in practice from playing with the baddest dude on the planet.

spk_0 But they also dirty secret are it amazing players.

spk_0 And it crops up beyond Mahomes's ability to account for it.

spk_0 The one where Hollywood Brown doesn't turn his head at the end of the game, hit some,

spk_0 the one where Taekwondo Thornton doesn't go get one of the deep targets he had.

spk_0 You know, the defense has suffered some attrition and isn't quite the same.

spk_0 But I know these guys are the ultimate.

spk_0 They understand where they need to be by January sort of team and in no way am I counting

spk_0 out the Chiefs, but skill position wise, we're all watching these games.

spk_0 It feels like a mishmash of dudes of guys, you know, like I don't know.

spk_0 I certainly told you to use Xavier Worthy coming out a week for ranked him top 10.

spk_0 This is a very bad call by me.

spk_0 Calling out of this one, I think he needs to be lower.

spk_0 And that kind of begs the question, okay, if Xavier Worthy is lower,

spk_0 which of Mahomes's guys dudes are we using?

spk_0 Travis Kelsey, yes, it's a good first half in this game.

spk_0 Scores the early touchdown kind of vaporizes later in the game,

spk_0 but that's a stupid position. So I hear you.

spk_0 Pacheco and Hunt each had some moments in this game.

spk_0 Pacheco's best run ended with his helmet getting knocked off and his nose

spk_0 bloodied. Hunt scored two Vulture touchdowns in the second half to

spk_0 momentarily give the Chiefs the lead before Harrison butler kick off out of bounds.

spk_0 But I don't know how you're going to fix your mouth and tell me that either of those guys

spk_0 or a must start, you know, you got bi-week issues, okay.

spk_0 But did I mention the quarterback is still the leading rusher?

spk_0 Bershard Smith gets four scrimmage touches and plays six offensive snaps.

spk_0 So we've had people leaking Bershard Smith's role is going to increase.

spk_0 I don't know. It isn't manifesting in anything that's anything close to usable just yet.

spk_0 It's obviously a potent offense. Mahomes himself had the keeper run to get the early lead up to

spk_0 14 to nothing. They've averaged the past couple of weeks, 32 points a game.

spk_0 Maybe Rishi Rice really is the key to making it all function.

spk_0 But at the moment, I would argue outside Mahomes, there isn't a must start chief except Kelsey

spk_0 at the stupid position, which is weird. And Mahomes himself, that 99 yard pick six that turn

spk_0 the game around, just throw it to Kelsey, dude. What are you looking at? He tries Juju on the inside

spk_0 of dual slants, but kind of obvious. Any defender is going to get in the way. It's going to be

spk_0 the guy coming from the inside, not the outside. I mean, obvious to me on my comfortable

spk_0 boros, sofa, not having to make a split second decision, but obviously a bad play by the quarterback

spk_0 that we don't expect him to make very often because again, he's amazing. That seven-minute drive

spk_0 in the fourth quarter, clinical. It felt like the whole mess of a night would be redeemed when hunt

spk_0 scored for the second time, but then butker goofed and the defense started getting grabby and the

spk_0 night ended poorly for the chiefs. For the jagged wires, they're four in one. They just beat the 49ers

spk_0 and the chiefs in back-to-back games. You might not have been able to watch the former. You probably

spk_0 saw a good deal of that one last night. So let me ask you, good win, not taking away the win.

spk_0 If you watched it, did you come away feeling amazing about Trevor Lawrence?

spk_0 From the second series where he's way past the line of scrimmage and throws it anyway,

spk_0 to the fourth down, QB sneak on the goal line where he extends the ball like you should never do,

spk_0 and it gets popped out before he can score the touchdown, to the throw in the end zone to Brian

spk_0 Thomas where he is blanketed and Travis Etian is just wide open in the flat and will waltz in for

spk_0 a touchdown. To all the plays where Lawrence is standing there before the snap, yelling hard

spk_0 count after hard count and the chiefs not coming close to taking the bait and multiple delay of

spk_0 game penalties as a result. I mean you're inside the 20 with a chance to win the game. How are you

spk_0 taking a delay of game? All the way up to the winning touchdown where the goofest gets his foot

spk_0 stepped on and falls down and rolls around on the ground, somehow gets his saluki legs working

spk_0 and rushes for the winning touchdown, his second rushing touchdown of the day. Obviously,

spk_0 this is a points fest and the quarterback rushes for two touchdowns. It's going to look like an

spk_0 amazing fantasy day for him. Did he play great? I don't know if you have an answer,

spk_0 having heard my evidence. I'm going to say no. The Jags look like an absolute imperfect mess,

spk_0 but did I mention that they're four and one. The key play of the game, it was Brian Thomas

spk_0 after all. Hadn't caught a pass in the second half. They're third in long on that last drive. It looks

spk_0 bad. Thomas had apparently told Lawrence that he was open on a go ball, the series before,

spk_0 and this time Lawrence chose to believe him, took the deep shot down the right side line. That was

spk_0 an awesome perfect throw. Still a high degree of difficulty catch. Thomas made it for 33 yards,

spk_0 hiking his night up to four for 80 and probably taking a bit of the pressure off. Thomas would

spk_0 then draw interference in the end zone with 30 seconds left. Travis Hunter had one immense catch in

spk_0 the third quarter. Kind of a bad decision by Lawrence. Hunter has two defenders right on him,

spk_0 but I guess Lawrence did do that thing that we want a quarterback to do, which is allow a great

spk_0 athlete to go make a play and Hunter rose over the other two guys to grab it. Doesn't rise for

spk_0 Hunter to the level of fantasy startable right now, but a nice play. I thought Travis ETN looked

spk_0 the same as he's looked, which is good, fast and decisive and powerful. I thought the Jags got

spk_0 away from the run too easily. It winds up 54 scrimmage yards, but Bush will Tutan had nine scrimmage yards,

spk_0 so we're not worried about that. Just an up and down night really for both teams, neither of those

spk_0 squads in this game looked elite, but they're just coming at this from such different angles. The

spk_0 chiefs all we need to do is get ready for the stretch run. The Jags, they're trying to turn around

spk_0 so many years of incompetence. I should add Lawrence's interception was certainly not his fault.

spk_0 Clear pass interference inside the chief's 20 looking for Parker Washington early fourth quarter,

spk_0 a blown call where a defender just runs over the receiver. But yeah, do I look at Trevor Lawrence

spk_0 and watch this game and change my overall opinion. There's still something lacking and he

spk_0 kind of doesn't quite have control over the clock or his limbs. Listener, I do not.

spk_0 Today's mixed. All right. I forgot to say we also have a mix tape. This one is so good. I got

spk_0 to play it right now during the Titans Cardinals game review, the wackiest game of the week.

spk_0 The Titans break their 10 game losing streak in the most ridiculous fashion. The Cardinals,

spk_0 just an unbelievable choke job to give this one up. I'll tell you about it. But before this game,

spk_0 Andrew Karnes from Chicago, Andrew, this is a wow. Of course, the Cardinals were coming off

spk_0 that week four game in Seattle where Marvin Harrison Jr., aka, Marv Jr., did not exactly cover

spk_0 himself in glory. And that inspired Andrew to do this.

spk_0 Now

spk_0 That is truly a while Andrew, unbelievable!

spk_0 believable job. I wish I'd played it sooner because Cardinal fans didn't actually have to wish that

spk_0 Marv was his dad in this game. In fact, Marv Jr. almost got a touchdown. The first Arizona series,

spk_0 a bomb shot to Harrison, not honestly a very good decision by Kyler Murray. It's double coverage,

spk_0 but again, we don't mind it sometimes if they're going to throw it to the good players. Harrison

spk_0 goes up. He snags it. It was initially ruled a touchdown, but overturned on replay so that they

spk_0 were down to the one on the second drive. Harrison had a back shoulder go ball for 20 yards,

spk_0 and then a stop route that gets them into the red zone. So he had pretty much made his week right

spk_0 there. Only had one more catch the rest of the day, a fourth quarter play where he absolutely

spk_0 shoved the defensive back to get free for another stop route. Should have been called OPI, but it's

spk_0 four for 98 and almost a touchdown couldn't get his feet in bounds on a short ball in the two-minute

spk_0 drill at the end of the half, but no drops. So no calling him duck hands for this week,

spk_0 but such a good mixtape. I had to play it. Tray McBride, five for 41. I mean, a little disappointing,

spk_0 but he's a tight end. So we'll take it. It was very frustrating to watch on film, though. He got a

spk_0 seam route in the second quarter where he might have scored, but Kyler Murray overcooked it. And

spk_0 by holding Murray himself started this game really well, but then as he's done so many other times,

spk_0 he turned into Kalamari. So Kalamari, that Cardinal's office back out. If you've heard anyone talking

spk_0 about this game, it's certainly to say how in the world the Arizona lose, just disgusting. Late

spk_0 third quarter of the Cardinals are up 21 to six and are back in the Titans red zone. And a shotgun

spk_0 snap goes off Murray's face for a fumble. He'd wind up hurting his foot, missing a few plays with

spk_0 Jacobi Berset in there momentarily. Murray would return and multiple drives where Kyler could end it.

spk_0 He overthrew a couple. He took sacks. I wouldn't say Murray was the main culprit for the loss. We're

spk_0 getting to that, but he's obviously got to find a way to make a couple more plays and never let

spk_0 the Titans get back into it. For running back, you're aware no James Conner for the rest of the

spk_0 year and Tre Bedson out for a good chunk of games with a knee scope. We were all guessing about

spk_0 usage. You can't legislate it. That's what I'm told. It turned out not really even to be much of

spk_0 a contest. It didn't look at all like a hot hand scenario. The starter was Michael Carter.

spk_0 That rhymed accidentally. He played okay. I thought when Harrison was ruled down at the one

spk_0 Carter was the one to power it in for a touchdown. He's a little guy. It looked like in the fourth

spk_0 quarter. He maybe gotten shaken up, but he did return. Now moving forward, we know that Carter

spk_0 comes first in the pecking order. Imarie D. Murkato's first touch. I'm already laughing at what you

spk_0 know is coming. His first touch came on a third down give up run with 30 seconds left in the first

spk_0 half. His second run. That's the one I'm pretty sure you've already seen the highlight of third and

spk_0 one on the Cardinals own 28. The C's part for D. Murkato. He sprinted. It was going to be a long

spk_0 touchdown. I started him in a league, not having better options. If what happened didn't happen,

spk_0 I would have won that game. The putts. Once again, we get a doofus who just can't run into the endzone

spk_0 before he starts slowing down and celebrating D. Murkato slows down. A hustling titan's defender

spk_0 sneak up, sneak up behind him and knocks the ball away. Before he crosses the goal line, the game

spk_0 should have been over. It was not. D. Murkato did play some more snaps the rest of the way, but

spk_0 certainly neither you nor I want to use him. The titans, I mean good for them. I think they're the

spk_0 worst team in the league right now. I think you can use Tony Pollard. I would hesitate to use anyone

spk_0 else. Pollard had the pure lead over Taijai Spears in Spears' return. 49 snaps for him. 17

spk_0 for Spears. Pollard had physical runs to begin the game. They actually gave Spears a wildcat run

spk_0 on the first drive. They kicked a field goal. The only way they were going to score again until the

spk_0 fourth quarter was a long kickoff return that got him into field goal range. They were down 21-6

spk_0 with a minute left in the half. Cam Ward was lucky not to throw an interception. They go on 4th and

spk_0 10 around midfield. Ward gets sacked. They simply do not look like a well coached team. In the third

spk_0 quarter, Arizona's offensive lights had pretty much gone out, but the titans still had three straight,

spk_0 three inouts. Then in the fourth quarter, it's Calvin Ridley on a deep post down to the

spk_0 Arizona 20. You can see Ward making a couple of good throws mixed in with many more bad ones.

spk_0 So it may simply be a matter of experience. Gunner Helm, a fade, toe tap down to the one. Pollard

spk_0 scores. They missed the extra point that would have cut it to eight. How is this game not over?

spk_0 I'll tell you how Tennessee gets it back. He throws a deflected interception. The Cardinals guy

spk_0 has it at his own five yard line and he fumbles it. Untouched. It goes into the end zone and Tyler

spk_0 Lockett falls on it and it's 21-19. Still, Arizona can't get a first down. With 30 seconds left,

spk_0 Ward unleashes a bomb shot to Ridley down the right side line and somehow, and probably they are

spk_0 suddenly in winning field goal range. It looked like the Pollard, the Cardinals actually tried to let

spk_0 Tony Pollard score except one defender didn't get the message and knocked Pollard down and the

spk_0 titans took the hint from there. They took a knee and Joey Sly almost blew the chip shot field goal,

spk_0 but it was good and they win 22 to 21. Last week we were asking the question is Eelik Iomanner,

spk_0 the titans receiver to start in a by-week emergency and the titans answered that question with a

spk_0 resounding no. Looks like Eel Manor had a quasi drop in the second quarter, though the ball wasn't

spk_0 very well thrown. He winds up two for 18 while Ridley has two enormous catches and does five for

spk_0 one 31. But like certainly don't let him off that hook either. He had a drop on the sideline.

spk_0 The real answer is this team really stinks and we're not feeling amazing about any of the

spk_0 past catchers. I think it's Pollard and pretty much nobody else. Let's talk about dolphins,

spk_0 Panthers. First it was shaping up to be the Darren Waller game. Later it came clear it was the

spk_0 Rico Doubtle game. Over 200 yards rushing and if the dude was fast he'd have had two huge long

spk_0 house touchdown runs. Big credit to the Carolina offensive line, especially the right side.

spk_0 Maybe some non-credit detriment to the dolphins run defense. But in the absence of Chubahubberd,

spk_0 whoo, what a game for Doubtle. In the fourth quarter after another chunk gain, Doubtle had to

spk_0 come out with cramps and watch Trevor ETN be the running back on the winning drive. But Doubtle

spk_0 was able to return and help run out the clock. I can't legislate usage because in my opinion

spk_0 nobody can. Plus we don't know how bad Chubah's calf is. It's hard to think after this game that

spk_0 Doubtle doesn't earn himself more time. The crazy thing about this game, as with several others,

spk_0 in week five, Miami was killing the Panthers. Seventeen to nothing. Two Panthers turnovers had

spk_0 ruined their first drives. The offensive play count in this game, like really deep into the

spk_0 quarter, was 29 to seven. How do you not win that game if you're Miami? You have to say, Bryce

spk_0 Young, he was headed for a benching in this first half. Third and long, Ted Mcmillan converts

spk_0 on a good throw, but a couple plays later. Young keeps play action, gets pressured, just drops the

spk_0 ball. He's not hit. He just drops it. And then early second quarter, an awful overthrow for a pick.

spk_0 But down 17, nothing. Doubtle running behind, pulling offensive lineman, got them settled down.

spk_0 It was desperate, even in the second quarter. On a fourth and four, Young has a long scramble,

spk_0 keeps the play alive, finds Ted Mcmillan to keep them alive. Doubtle catches a screen down to

spk_0 the seven. And then an awesome throw by Bryce Young to save your league at for the first Carolina

spk_0 touchdown. Somehow, at the half, it's only 17 to 10. First play of the third quarter, Doubtle

spk_0 on a pitch right. Great blocking. He nearly houses it. He's run down from behind by

spk_0 Minka Fitzpatrick, not Minka Kelly. It's a field goal. It's 17, 13, nine minutes left in the fourth

spk_0 quarter. Doubtle gets a lane up the middle again. He really should be gone, but he's kind of slow

spk_0 by running back standards. He gets run down. It's another long gain. That sets up an in zone target

spk_0 to Ted Eroa Mcmillan on which he's held. Bryce Young scrambles down to the one, Doubtle scores,

spk_0 and somehow Carolina is winning. Doubtle had another big run with five minutes left. That's when he

spk_0 limped off cramping. It was reserved tight end Mitchell Evans, who scored the winner with two minutes

spk_0 left. I wish Mcmillan had scored touchdown because he's really good. He was really good in this game.

spk_0 I'm impressed. I don't want to pay too much for him in a fantasy league because, you know,

spk_0 Bryce Young, but the stats have not yet indicated how well this rookie is playing or how much like a

spk_0 veteran he seems. The dolphins, well, it was all Darren Waller in the first half. The first pass

spk_0 was thrown to him. He gets a big seamstretcher for 34. He converted a fourth down at the end of

spk_0 the first quarter. Second quarter, he has a double move catch for 34 again and paid it off with a

spk_0 red zone touchdown. And somehow he never caught another ball. That was like at the 10 minute

spk_0 Marker the second quarter and they never even threw it to him again. He still played 16 more

spk_0 snaps after that point. For sure, you know, they were talking on the broadcast. He's on a pitch count

spk_0 and he's not going to play every down. I'm guessing Carolina tried to clamp down on him after that

spk_0 point, but it was kind of disappointing for Waller not to go for even more numbers. We'll take a second

spk_0 touchdown in two weeks though. No tie re kill. He's obviously done for the year. So Waller just

spk_0 kind of is the number two pass catcher. J. Waddle is the number one. He converted a third down on

spk_0 the sideline on Miami second drive, limped off looking injured, came back a couple plays later,

spk_0 had another catch down to the five yard line in the second quarter. He almost scored as well.

spk_0 He actually went up the ladder for a great catch in the third quarter, but the play was called back

spk_0 for holding. We were paused with Waddle at four for 45 for an uncomfortably long time. But the dolphins

spk_0 figured out some stuff in the fourth quarter. When they relinquished the lead, they put together two

spk_0 drives and Waddle was important for both, including catching a bomb touchdown for 46 yards and

spk_0 offering a big exhale. If you started him, meanwhile, Malik Washington, yeah, not so much. They

spk_0 did try him a couple of times in a in red zone, like a screen, a jet pitch carry, which I guess

spk_0 technically was a pass, but didn't gain anything. Four catches for zero yards from Malik,

spk_0 Washington. I think we're obviously holding off on starting him even in the absence of Hill until

spk_0 we see something different. Devon HN, it was tough sledding. We're lucky for the touchdown. That was

spk_0 a wonderful catch by HN for the touchdown from the red zone, a fade route where he has to go dead

spk_0 to get his toes inbound. Carolina was very stout up the middle. HN was kind of dashing himself

spk_0 against the rocks. He is tiny-boned. He had 46 scrimmage yards, but he scored that touchdown.

spk_0 So we will take it to a tongue-of-allow was okay. He took advantage when Bryce Young gifted him

spk_0 possessions in the first half. He rallied for the Waddle touchdown when Carolina took the lead

spk_0 and he didn't blow the lead himself. He also did go three and out pretty meekly on the final drive.

spk_0 Tongo-Valoa is obviously not going to be leading the same kind of offense without Tyree Kill.

spk_0 Darren Waller seemed to be plan number one in the first half and we'll see if that becomes a full

spk_0 Oh, we'll get to taste some hill. I promise. Giants, Saints was highly weird as

spk_0 but fits a game with one win between the two teams coming in. The Giants coming off that come back

spk_0 win over the Chargers, having replaced Russell Wilson with Jackson Dart but also obviously

spk_0 having lost Malik neighbors. For the season, strange game because for long stretches it felt like

spk_0 the Giants were better and winning and kind of dominating but they have five turnovers and that

spk_0 crushes them. Dart clearly partook of that with a couple of interceptions but another one where

spk_0 a big lead was blown. This game started out 14 to three Giants. Dart moved them really well to start.

spk_0 I guess I'd say his comportment. I like the way the kid handles himself.

spk_0 I know. I was going to get one of those. I don't think Dart is a raw raw idiot. He runs when he has to.

spk_0 He doesn't freak out about it. There obviously would be rougher times for him later in the game but

spk_0 early on he's spreading it around. Daniel Belinger has a catch down to the one from the one

spk_0 its play action and Theo Johnson an easy touchdown. The second drive, Dart scrambled for 20.

spk_0 Inside the red zone, Dart kept an option run. Cam Scatiboo was stuffed on third down, a high

spk_0 degree of difficulty throw to Theo Johnson again. It's 14 to three big statistical day for Theo Johnson.

spk_0 The two touchdowns, you can chase it. It's okay. Just realized that a couple of his catches came

spk_0 on a meaningless drive in the last minute of the game and also realized that Belinger plays a lot

spk_0 too. Theo Johnson is a huge, relatively athletic looking player and it's tied in. I'm fine with it.

spk_0 In this first half where it felt like the giants had things under control, it was ball control,

spk_0 only two deep balls all half. The first was to Darius Slayton. Kind of into triple coverage but

spk_0 Slayton somehow managed to drop it anyway. Then on a third and two around midfield, a flea flicker,

spk_0 but Dart badly under threw Slayton or it would have been a touchdown. The bad stuff happened

spk_0 from that point on. Slayton in the two minute drill at the end of the half fumbles around midfield.

spk_0 There's really no Wondale Robinson at all in the first half. They came out third quarter and on

spk_0 a fourth down they hand it to Wondale and he gets it but then immediately Jackson Dart scramble and

spk_0 again another guy who just drops the ball. He wasn't hit. Just dropped it for a lost fumble. Then

spk_0 late third quarter, a good long drive, dribs and drabs and ball control. In the red zone it was

spk_0 almost Theo Johnson for a third touchdown but the ball was thrown short where upon Cam Skataboo

spk_0 fumbled. We're talking Skataboo. Yeah, it's not that fun in this case. The Saints were turned at

spk_0 85 yards for a touchdown. The giants did go right back to Skataboo on the next series so there's

spk_0 a punishment. It's a fourth down. A dark desperation throw is intercepted and with five minutes left in

spk_0 the game he was picked again three turnovers for him alone. Five for the giants skill players and

spk_0 obviously the fumble six being the true crusher. Skataboo keeps looking like a usable player. His

spk_0 damaging fumble notwithstanding a beastly grinder. He gets over over a hundred scrimmage yards. Tyrone

spk_0 Tracy could be back as soon as this week but I think Skataboo is more desirable. Darius

spk_0 Layton missed the end of this game because of a hamstring injury. I was always real skeptical. He

spk_0 would be a Malik neighbor's replacement going forward. There's probably no need to chase

spk_0 Thursday night against the Eagles. For the Saints, their second possession. Oh, it's a wildcat

spk_0 carry all right but it's not Tassum Hill. It's Alvin Camera. The first few possessions were basically

spk_0 all Camera instead of Kendri Miller. That second Saints drive was good. Rashid Shaheed converted a

spk_0 badly thrown third down. Chris Olavek had a screen. The first play in the red zone was a jet hand

spk_0 off to the smiling Goon. Tassum Hill and I cheered but he was stuffed and on third down Camera had a

spk_0 drop so they kicked a field goal. In the second quarter, there he is. It's the Goon. His first wildcat

spk_0 carry on a third and two. He converts. They kick another field goal. They're down 14 to 6.

spk_0 Things had been pretty controlled. Spencer Ratler not asked to do a lot but late third quarter

spk_0 first play of the drive. It's play action. It's a bomb to this guy.

spk_0 The way you stretch the field. It's the merger. Part two. It's Rashid Shaheed out of the slot

spk_0 running an over route. The Giants saw him. They saw it coming. They just couldn't catch him and he

spk_0 was gone for an 87 yard bomb. The longest Saints pass play in nine years and somehow it's only 14,

spk_0 13 Giants despite in that first half in New York. Pretty much dominating. I did notice Alvin

spk_0 Camera limping a little at the end of the first half and to begin the third quarter, Kendri Miller

spk_0 got much of that first series. But once they got in the red zone, Camera was in. Though Tassum Hill

spk_0 playing traditional quarterback throws one to Joanne Johnson to get in close and they kick a

spk_0 field goal to go up. I think at that point, 1914. In the fourth quarter, deep in their own

spk_0 territory, three straight carries to Kendri Miller again. Camera does get in on the action.

spk_0 On a third and one, you get a Tassum Hill Wildcat run, but he's short and they punt. But that's the

spk_0 drive that led to the Scataboo Fumble 6, which in probably put things out of reach and gave the

spk_0 Saints their first win. I did not emerge from this thinking that Kendri Miller had somehow Wally

spk_0 pipped Alvin Camera. It was still 39 snaps. Camera 26 Miller and before the Saints were up 12 points

spk_0 and running things out, that number of snaps was 36 to 17. Camera is still a checkdown,

spk_0 King in a not very adventurous Spencer Radler offense. And he's the Saints running back. We should

spk_0 all be starting clearly. But we'll admit Miller had some pop runs in the second half. Things

spk_0 could change. Miller's name is going to come up here in Waivers in a little bit. Tassum Hill plays

spk_0 nine offensive snaps, six at quarterback one in the slot, one at tight end, and one at running back.

spk_0 Obviously not enough to use him yet in a fantasy league, but just as obviously they immediately

spk_0 wanted to have him touching the ball. So who knows, maybe the role grows. And then let's talk about

spk_0 the Colts dismantling the Raiders week by week. Okay, this opponent didn't offer a ton of

spk_0 resistance, but how can we not believe a little more week by week in the Indianapolis offense?

spk_0 We're getting these quarterback reclamation projects. They don't all work out amazing. And it's

spk_0 not like they usually lead you to the Super Bowl. But like, I don't know, Trent Dilford did. It's

spk_0 not impossible. The Colts plan in this game was definitely come out throwing. Jonathan Taylor would

spk_0 of course, as you know, definitely pay off. Indy started this game, throw, throw, throw with Daniel

spk_0 Jones, a long drive late first quarter into early second. There was a third and long that Josh

spk_0 Downs caught short and got the first down all on his own. It led to a Tyler Warren red zone touchdown.

spk_0 Things began to turn up. Seven three Indy blocks a punt and recover inside the Vegas 10. Now the

spk_0 plan is more Taylor. He gets a run and then a pass where he draws interference. The Colts try a

spk_0 tackle eligible pass, which does not work, but third down a lead draw to Taylor. He scores. It's 14 to

spk_0 three in the two minute drill at the end of the half. Daniel Jones missed Josh Downs for a long

spk_0 touchdown, but Downs and Michael Pittman keep grinding away with some shorter stuff and then

spk_0 Pittman scores from inside the 10 in the last 10 seconds of the half. The Colts kicker actually got

spk_0 hurt in this game. So from this point forward, they had to try two point conversions. So it was 20 to

spk_0 three at the half to start the third quarter. It was methodical. Now things with the lead were

spk_0 tilting toward Taylor and the run and he scores to make it 26 to three after a genosmith interception.

spk_0 They're down in close. It's in a mere abdula. So they let him score to make it 32 to three.

spk_0 And the Colts are pretty merciless at the end of this game. It's garbage time. Jones was still in

spk_0 late third quarter and took a deep shot. Taylor got another close in touchdown. And then yes,

spk_0 finally in the fourth quarter, it was Anthony Richardson and DJ Giddens. For the Raiders, their first

spk_0 offensive play was a beauty. It was a wheel route to Ashton Gentie for a long game. You know that

spk_0 they wound up not having Brock Bowers in this game. Ian Thomas, his replacement, had a catch on

spk_0 the first drive on that first drive. Geno Smith took him right down the field. They get inside the

spk_0 10. Gentie has a carry down to the three. Then it's a sack, a hopeless screen to Gentie and a field

spk_0 goal. Gentie's best run of the day was Geno changing the play to a speed option and pitching it

spk_0 to Gentie for a good gain. That led to a bomb shot for Trey Tucker down to the Colts 10 when the

spk_0 14 to three. But you know what? It felt like okay, the Raiders can get back into this. But Geno's

spk_0 pass into the end zone deflected up into the air for an easy interception. Then in the second half,

spk_0 losing by 23 an awful pass by Geno Smith directly into two deep double coverage, a horrendous

spk_0 decision nearly a pick six. But the defender stepped out of bounds. Later, you had Gentie stuffed

spk_0 on a fourth and one. It got out of control for PD Sunshine. You're going to see Rahim

spk_0 most are playing 32 total snaps to Gentie's 37. I would say don't worry about that. All but five

spk_0 of Honey most are snaps came once it was 40 to three. But it is of course fair to worry about

spk_0 Gentie overall big game last week. Three touchdowns, a lot of yards against the Bears went right back to

spk_0 feeling underwhelming on Sunday. He's a good player. You know, I think last week against the Bears,

spk_0 I said anecdotally, ooh, maybe Maurice Jones drew that would be cool. But consistency for him looks

spk_0 like it could take a while. Jacobi Myers looks like he had okay production in the box score. He really

spk_0 didn't even for for 32, which isn't great. That's misleading. He had almost nothing before the

spk_0 Basura time. He had back to back end zone targets in the meaningless fourth quarter. Hard to love

spk_0 any Raiders receiver. Geno had a couple of good moments, but he's not salvaging himself with a new

spk_0 gym, don't crash your car because that would be logistically difficult. Before we get to the main

spk_0 names since I imposed the artificial constraint that players have to be rusted in one third of

spk_0 Yahoo Leagues or fewer, I'll run a few names by you, Brandon, that are not eligible for our list.

spk_0 It's all running backs because really, you know, at this point we're mostly adding running backs

spk_0 because it's the position that's the most scarce. These three guys wouldn't have been eligible

spk_0 for the main list. I think it's very clear that if Rico doubted is available in your 10 team league,

spk_0 he's 59% rostered. That's the name to go after in a very shallow league. I would have preferred. I have

spk_0 him handcuffed to Chuba Hubbard in a couple of leagues because I had Chuba, but that's those are

spk_0 a little bit deeper leagues and a 10 team league you might not would doubt will be the guy if you had

spk_0 a hundred dollar waiver budget that in a 10 team league, you'd be willing to kind of to really

spk_0 extend yourself and bid a lot. Man, I just, you know, the window is what another week.

spk_0 The window's maybe not even. Yeah, maybe not even. And then then you're getting into the world

spk_0 of a lot of guys, a lot of other guys that we talk about that are just, you know, I think he,

spk_0 what he's done is he certainly carved out a bigger role there. But, you know, when you're split

spk_0 in half of a carer line of backfield at the most, that that's not what I'm empty in my budget on.

spk_0 So I probably temper temper my bid a little bit, but he would still be very interested,

spk_0 interesting, interesting to me for sure. Yeah, my tendency is to play it conservative and be like,

spk_0 oh, there might be something big coming down the pike. And I feel like over the years,

spk_0 I've tried to curb that a little bit and say, you know, one win is worth something. And so if

spk_0 Hubbard's out again, and if I luck into another, I mean, I just reviewed that game film and some of

spk_0 what Doudal did was him, but some of it was just they ran right. Miami just couldn't stop it. And

spk_0 they, and he would just get in the clear. He showed a score three touchdowns. He's got run down from

spk_0 behind a few times. He did have a couple where he did. He did break some leg tack goals that, but

spk_0 they were already deep into the into the mix. You know, he was already getting yards before

spk_0 contacts and did make some nice plays, but I hear he was definitely not the best defensive effort

spk_0 by Miami. Yeah, I think you can you shouldn't you shouldn't spend it all. You should, but, you know,

spk_0 if you're, if you're especially for the Hubbard owner, I mean, I think the Hubbard owner in all

spk_0 leagues now should be having doubt if they can. If it's free, if it's just FabMoney. The other two

spk_0 names that aren't eligible, Michael Carter 39% rostered Kenneth Gainwell 37% rostered. Do you have a

spk_0 preference between those guys in a shallower league? I think I go Michael Carter. He came in, you

spk_0 know, we were little we're going to have talk of kind of a similar situation this week, but, you

spk_0 know, you had to kind of guess is Carter going to truly be the guy. And he kind of was, you know,

spk_0 he was the one you wanted to go after between him and and Emory Dean Mercado. And, and, you know,

spk_0 so I think Gainwell is going to come in and be in a little bit lesser role. He certainly stood out

spk_0 when Jaylen Warren was out the last time out. And that's probably like doubt. I'll earn him a bigger

spk_0 share, but right now I'd rather have Carter's role than what I expect Gainwell's role to be.

spk_0 They're very similar players in that they're they're like their minds cash checks that their bodies

spk_0 or their minds right checks that their bodies can't cash. That would have been a hilarious line if

spk_0 I could have gotten it off. They both run like big guys and they're both small guys. And I just

spk_0 don't love that kind of player because I need a little more. I just they aren't like real explosive.

spk_0 You know, if Michael Carter winds up being a league winner knowing what I know about his Jets days

spk_0 and the many, many weeks that I would have to fight off the Michael why not why is Michael Carter

spk_0 higher in your ranks? I will I will eat these headphones, but yeah, Carter's the one I would add as well.

spk_0 All right, let's get to the main list. And of course, Brandon, you've been doing this show long

spk_0 enough to know that when we add somebody, we also have to drop somebody. So what do we do? I'm

spk_0 you know, his windows closing, Rashee Rises coming back, but the savery were these banged up.

spk_0 You get Detroit Lions on the schedule. Spectre to be a little bit of a of a shootout. So, you know,

spk_0 they're taking deep shots to Ty Quant. He's found the end zone three of the last four games, 90 yards on

spk_0 Monday night. He's probably got one more solid week of upside before things maybe change. I mean,

spk_0 it's a complete pile. I call it a pile of receivers in Kansas City. Anyone week's Hollywood brown,

spk_0 you're going to throw Rashee Rises into the mix and he's going to move to the right to the top of the

spk_0 pile. But until that happens, I think a big play can happen from Ty Quant Thornton next week against

spk_0 the Lions. He's my number three and the only receiver on my list. So I agree and it's disgusting,

spk_0 but one win is worth something. You're not paying a lot to get him. If you're in, I mean, there's also

spk_0 only two teams on by. So, you know, there's maybe a little less potential urgency, but yeah,

spk_0 you find yourself in a mess. Ty Quant Thornton would be the one I would add. It's disgusting.

spk_0 I don't think he's any good at all. I think last night was proof positive. I mean, they took shots

spk_0 to him. Proof positive that he kind of stinks. And I mean, I was a paid man. I mean, he did,

spk_0 he did make a decent catch. But overall, overall, I do give your point, but like, I'll give him

spk_0 credit for the one he did pull down with a couple guys around him there. Right. Yeah. I mean,

spk_0 so he's my number three. So I'm not, I'm not yelling at you. My number five, like, we're just picking

spk_0 back up running backs now. I have Tyler Alger at 31%. And I'm, you know, in my mind, what I'm

spk_0 trying to say is if you find yourself in a bad situation, I think he's startable. And so, like,

spk_0 it isn't great and you're not going to be happy. But as your flex, it can be Tyler Alger, probably

spk_0 not that much more needs to be said. He's 31% rostered. Well, I don't know what you want me to do then,

spk_0 because he's my number four. So I don't know if you want me to say anything more about him or not.

spk_0 Yeah. He's my number four. Now, I mean, he's getting run. I mean, a couple games with 16 carries.

spk_0 Like, you don't like these, you know, completely out of it in the passing game. But you get,

spk_0 you're getting some, you're getting some volume. And there is always, and you don't want to

spk_0 hope for it. But like, you know, if you're ranking, if you're ranking running backs in terms of

spk_0 next man up, I mean, he's always kind of towards the top of the list. So we're seeing how this next

spk_0 man up thing is, is very important thing across the fantasy landscape. So even, even, you know,

spk_0 and we don't want anything to happen to be John, but even in a, in a shared role there, he's finding

spk_0 the volume, finding the end zone. It's working out a little bit. He's a, you know, a nice kind of

spk_0 guy to have on your bench at the end of the bench during these, these by weeks. Yeah. I mean,

spk_0 the by weeks become a worse. That's probably why he's available in 31% of leagues because people

spk_0 had to drop him because the by weeks are coming. It's a tough time. But yeah, like if you're in a

spk_0 deep enough league that you can keep rostering a handcuff, he's among the primary handcuffs.

spk_0 Absolutely. My number four, I'm sure he's on your list too. I have Kendri Miller also 31% rostered.

spk_0 Yep. He's number three. He was the next guy. I kind of go back and forth, but I don't want to

spk_0 step on your, your takes on Kendri, but go ahead. Honestly, but he first came into the league. I

spk_0 didn't think much of him. I didn't think he looked that good. I, he's looked a lot better this year.

spk_0 Looks like the game slowed down for him and allowed him to play a little bit faster and kind of,

spk_0 you know, it just, last couple of weeks I've washed him and I said, yeah, Kendri looks better than

spk_0 what I remember him last year. But what you're kind of noticing is they're using him more and more

spk_0 each week. You know, it's kind of been like a subtle straight line just kind of inclining up

spk_0 each and every week. So they're getting more and more into him being out there with Kamara.

spk_0 There is, I guess the pine to sky hope that the Saints will realize they literally will have

spk_0 nothing to play for here very soon. And, and, you know, maybe they want to make a deal for Kamara

spk_0 at the deadline. You never know. But as it is right now, he's kind of doing the Tyler Alger thing

spk_0 where he's, he's existing in concert with, with somebody who's the one A. Yeah, this is basically like

spk_0 Tyler Alger and Kendri Miller are both really good handcuffs and are playing, they, they're good

spk_0 power backs on their own with a pure starting role. They would be useful, probably not superstars.

spk_0 They're, they're fine players. I like the physicality of both. And the reason I put Miller ahead

spk_0 of Alger was just because I think this week I'm going to have him ranked a little higher, probably

spk_0 one spot higher or something. But, but like I'm okay, rostering either one. I'm not thrilled starting

spk_0 either one, but you know, sometimes beggars can't be choosers. We wound up with the same list. We've

spk_0 the same five guys that doesn't have the same five guys. We know where we're going with the next.

spk_0 We may not have an same order here at one and two. I'm actually very curious to, you know,

spk_0 this is one of those things where I've been rooting around trying to, trying to get an angle on

spk_0 how you would do this in terms of, of bidding for these two players that we're about to talk to.

spk_0 And so I'm curious to hear what you have to say about. I don't even hang a lot of like pride on,

spk_0 on, I don't think there's any way to know, you know, there really wasn't any way to know between

spk_0 De Mercado and Carter this past week. And, and now people are going, well, yeah, there were

spk_0 drips and drabs of information. De Mercado said he was going to stay in the same role. And Carter

spk_0 said, yeah, I mean, sometimes it doesn't work out that way. They were pretty honest with the

spk_0 Cardinals this past time. But with the chargers, given that they're now down two starting running

spk_0 backs, because since we last talked on Monday, Omar and Hampton is out for a while, at least four

spk_0 weeks. And sometimes it's longer than that with an angle injury. He's on IR. So they are, so like,

spk_0 I just don't have a lot of pride on the line. I guess, you know, you would, you would say the dude

spk_0 who in Arizona, who was the third down back, stayed the third down back and then lost me a fantasy

spk_0 game by fumbling at the end. So the goal line, that was fantastic. How has that happened twice

spk_0 this year? And it's happened. It's seemingly like once a year for as long as I can remember. I just

spk_0 don't understand it. What is the need to just purge yourself of the football? The moment you think

spk_0 you've sniffed the goal line. Like, if I was a coach, I would demand that the players get into

spk_0 the end zone and slam that ball into the end zone as like an emphasis that we are just going to

spk_0 take it all the way in. And when you compile drive that ball into the end zone, then you know that

spk_0 you're okay to let go of it. You know, it's like, I should they say it. There's just some some

spk_0 humans are very stupid. You know, like, it's just the bottom line. Some humans identify themselves

spk_0 as very in the case of DeMarcato, though, he didn't like drop the ball. He just slowed down,

spk_0 started celebrating, let his grip go on the ball. Titans defender was behind him and like,

spk_0 bam did out before he get to the end zone. But still stupid. Like just yeah, it's slightly

spk_0 different flavor of stupid. But anyway, like, I don't even really know between Hassan Haskins and

spk_0 Kamani Vidal, who the person who had her role was because we're not talking about second and third

spk_0 string anymore. We're talking about third and fourth string. And I don't even know who the third

spk_0 or the fourth is. Yeah. So I put I put, I put Haskins at two. I'm sort of leaning towards, you

spk_0 know, we kind of saw this. They both played after Hampton went down, but yet Tray Lance came in and

spk_0 suddenly it was Vidal with Lance. And so you could say, well, you know, when the starters went out

spk_0 then Haskins went out. But I mean, Vidal played ahead of him ahead of Haskins last year. But then

spk_0 you got Haskins has the history with Harbaugh and and there's a trust factor. Vidal hasn't been

spk_0 known for being great in past protection. That's kind of a big deal for the chargers right now with

spk_0 their with their tackles out. But honestly, where I've settled is this is probably a platoon,

spk_0 probably a hot hand situation. But if I'm looking at the skill set, what sort of, you know, is going

spk_0 to give you a higher ceiling and fantasy. I like Vidal in the passing game more. I, you know,

spk_0 Haskins is just kind of a one note player, just a big physical guy. I don't know you're going to see

spk_0 much of him in the passing game. And obviously the receptions help pay the bills. So I think Vidal

spk_0 could be, you know, maybe a little bit more of some upside there. But I expect that they will both

spk_0 play a decent amount. So I'm going to go Haskins to Vidal one and I would probably play it as a

spk_0 contingency bid. If I would go Vidal for whatever amount I decide on and then do the same bid for

spk_0 Haskins for the same drop, you know, for a similar amount of money. Maybe maybe I hair last, but,

spk_0 you know, I'm probably not going to try to go out and get both of them. But I would, I would,

spk_0 you know, settle on a contingency bid with Vidal first and Haskins second.

spk_0 I had them ordered that way too. You know, if you go by last year, granted Vidal was a rookie and he

spk_0 didn't earn a lot of trust. And I, you know, he had a hard time even being active on game days. But

spk_0 Haskins was certainly more involved last year. Played a lot more plays played, you know, I think

spk_0 played a lot more plays. But on off like Haskins has been a special teamer. And so he's been a

spk_0 kind of like a core charger special teamer. My my logic is that why leave that role? Why, you know,

spk_0 that's kind of he's important to their special teams. And that made me think if there's,

spk_0 if there's a chance for anybody to surprise, like I feel like I know what Haskins is, there's a

spk_0 chance for anybody to surprise the Austin Eccler type body type guy. It's a hard person to be a

spk_0 little dude who has some pretty good power to him. But I'm absolutely guessing. I mean, I just

spk_0 don't know. I think, all right, I mean, we can we can talk into a blue in the face about how,

spk_0 oh, this is this is probably a time share. And then the card was absolutely wasn't this

spk_0 past week. So like, we don't even really know that. So it's just, yeah, you're going to be flying

spk_0 by the CD or pants. What are you going to do for Bids? How much are you going to bid?

spk_0 I will probably for Vidal. I mean, I'm I'm just thinking in my 12 team leagues. I'm, you know,

spk_0 I'm down in the 70s, 60s range. I'm putting in a maybe a $15 bid. I'm not going crazy. I just

spk_0 just I don't think you're getting rich here. I mean, it took a while to even to get a marion

spk_0 a marion hampton going there. I just, you know, I don't this is not like in my mind a lucrative place

spk_0 for a running back, especially if you're going to split touches, which I think will happen to some

spk_0 extents. So I'm going to maybe 15 on Vidal. Maybe a little bit more a little bit less depending on

spk_0 how competitive the league is. And I go maybe a dollar or two less on Haskins. And like I said,

spk_0 it would be the same it would be the same contingency bid. It would, you know, I'd be cutting the same

spk_0 guy. I wouldn't try to get both of them. Right. Yeah, that seems fair. I agree. You don't go, I don't

spk_0 think you'll ham for either guy. Let's we something that we have even just like set aside is that

spk_0 an offense that for three weeks looked awesome. Suddenly seems to have hit its breaking point for

spk_0 injured tackles. You know, they lost three of them. And that seems to be the end point at which

spk_0 maybe they're not awesome anymore. It's too bad. And really, we don't actually know whether

spk_0 maybe Pippkins plays this week. Maybe they're able to adjust better. Now that they knew, you know, in

spk_0 the middle of the game, they clearly did not just well. And they blew a lead because they couldn't

spk_0 protect the quarterback at all. And and but like that doesn't feel like a great environment for

spk_0 running back either. So I think I endorsed the strategy for bidding that you put in for Vidal.

spk_0 I'll mention some other names as on romensions only if because we've only talked about five guys,

spk_0 we wound up with the same five players. Blake Korum, 17% rostered falls in that same

spk_0 mode of Miller and Al Jir where they're actually kind of usable on their own. You can get last

spk_0 time I saw the Rams on Thursday night. Korum kind of left us hang holding the bag. But he can get

spk_0 a bunch of work. He's he's now. That's like a doghouse game. I mean, it was a fumble. And then it was

spk_0 kind of a sort of a bad drop on a on a pass in the flat. And it kind of felt like he was kind of

spk_0 getting sent a message, but then Kyron fumbled later. So we'll see what the bears do with with Kyle

spk_0 Mononguy because there's a chance you could be like in a deeper league as a specular that spend zero

spk_0 or $1 on him and just see if there's a role coming out of the bears by some receivers. Boy, oh,

spk_0 boy. I mean, just what you know, like adding any waiver receivers just feels like all it does

spk_0 is make your life more complicated. But I put down Troy Franklin. I put down Darnell Mooney. I put

spk_0 down Isaiah Bond. Come on. Let's not do that. Kendrick born great. I mean, wonderful story for

spk_0 the waiver ad last week. I added born everywhere. I won some games thanks to him. But I absolutely did.

spk_0 You know, I had him on four of my six teams. I put them on four of my teams. And yeah,

spk_0 but it's just that was tough to think that pierced after 10 days, both pierce all end gennings will

spk_0 be out. It makes me think they won't. How about a streaming defense for this week?

spk_0 Uh, let's go with Las Vegas. Um, at home, I would be happy to go against that Tennessee Titans

spk_0 offense cam ward. Uh, you know, I can see Mason Crosby doing doing some damage in that one. So

spk_0 I know Las Vegas is down the list of defenses that you're thinking about playing. But anywhere

spk_0 Tennessee goes, especially a Tennessee on the road, I want I'll take the Vegas Raiders.

spk_0 They were second on my list. I actually put the Fodipajama Patriots ahead of them going to

spk_0 Orleans. Um, I don't feel like super strongly about it. And I don't think either one's going to

spk_0 rank super high on my defense list. I'm about to make once we log off here. But um, maybe it's

spk_0 comes down to I think the Patriots defense has shown more. So you know, these are two very easy

spk_0 seeming matchups. Um, and, and like I'll take the defense that's shown a little more. But I had

spk_0 the Raiders number two. So that's a good call. How about a streaming quarterback?

spk_0 Yeah, look, uh, look right in my backyard with Sam Darnold. He's been, he's been looking pretty good.

spk_0 Going against Jacksonville. Look, I'd take the average of what as a streaming play of what he's

spk_0 done over the last four games. Um, you know, it's, I think it's got nine touchdowns last four games.

spk_0 Mid 200 yardage. Uh, looking good. Looks like he's getting a little more and more comfortable in the

spk_0 offense. I thought his, his touchdown, um, to go ahead against the Buccaneers on fourth and two.

spk_0 Great play. I mean, he held it together. I mean, you know, I think he gets a bad knock for

spk_0 sort of melting down. He did throw the ball off the alignment's head. But like, I'm gonna tell

spk_0 literally that point, like he did enough for that. That's the ox team to should have won that game.

spk_0 And it was more, I, you know, more blame the defense for the way that went. But it fantasy-wise,

spk_0 he was, it was pretty awesome last week. Well, fantasy wise, he was. He's my number one also. Um,

spk_0 yeah, I mean, that pick was, that was not a good pick. That was, I mean, I understand.

spk_0 Okay. We just traded out Geno Smith for Sam Darnell. They both make at least one of those plays

spk_0 again. That's just kind of the way it goes. And sometimes it just at the absolute wrong time.

spk_0 Right. I mean, he's my number one too. The other one I could, would consider his Bryce Young,

spk_0 who was, you know, obviously highly suspect, but he gets to play the Cowboys at home. And that

spk_0 defense isn't stopping anybody at all. Uh, all right. All these names are in today's show notes,
