spk_0 Yeah, I'm like, bottom ticker.
spk_0 I'm sitting there with a piece of chicken like, wait, wait a minute.
spk_0 Welcome to Games with Names.
spk_0 I'm joined at Omen, their Jack and Kyler, and we are on a mission to find the greatest
spk_0 game of all time. And on today's episode, we are covering Corey Dillan's 278-yard record
spk_0 breaking game in week eight of the 2000 season between the Broncos and the Bengals,
spk_0 the Super Bowl champion legendary running back. A man that may have trucked Vince Wolfork,
spk_0 Corey Freaking Dillan, and we get into talking what it's like breaking an NFL
spk_0 rushing record. I'm over there being, you know, I'm in my feelings a little bit. I'm like,
spk_0 I'm overwhelmed. Getting traded to the Patriots.
spk_0 I kind of got the feeling like Bill is not the person to be
spk_0 and who's the modern day Corey Dillan?
spk_0 We're kind of similar with the power and speed aspect. I do got a mean step on too.
spk_0 So, and then we talk the sports bucket list on this week's chill zone presented by
spk_0 Cours Light. You got to stick around to the end. Let's go.
spk_0 Games with names of production of I Heart Radio.
spk_0 October 22nd, 2000. Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio.
spk_0 22 carries two touchdowns, 278 yards.
spk_0 And a place in the record books. This is the 278 yard game.
spk_0 Welcome to Games with names. Today we are looking at the 278 yard game, Cincinnati versus
spk_0 Denver week eight, 2000 match with Corey Freaking Dillon. Corey, in one sentence,
spk_0 why did you pick this game? I think that was probably my best game ever. I was just in the zone and
spk_0 I think the team we were we were struggling, man. I don't think we want a game up into that game
spk_0 that season. So it was just one of those weird games where like everything was clicking,
spk_0 offensive line was bulldozing people over. And it just seemed to me like everybody was just a
spk_0 tad slower than my speed. So yeah, it just turned out to be a good day. And it ended up winning
spk_0 our first game in Paul Brown Stadium. Wow. It's just the greatest game of all time.
spk_0 To me, yeah, yeah, I mean, I mean, the record's been broken. But it wasn't against like the number
spk_0 two ranked defense at the time. And I kind of like it because you know what I did in on 22 carries
spk_0 and eight of those carries were negative yards. So and the crazy, we'll get into the game. But
spk_0 I want to get into the game later. But they they the other guy they gave you couple they gave
spk_0 couple your touches to the other guy and he broke off with I would have been. Yeah, he
spk_0 got him. And dude, there was one carry in there. I broke for 30. Yeah, they called it back. So
spk_0 I'm thinking like, damn, I could have had three hundred yards. I know. I know. You know, so we
spk_0 just had big will fork on big. That's my guy, man. And he told us the story about you running them
spk_0 over. I didn't know that it's who he said that. Did you know I never knew that? Is that just how
spk_0 you ran? You just ran like a bad out of hell. Didn't care what was you didn't see. You just ran.
spk_0 Here's the funny thing, man. I for the longest. I know Bill used to stand behind the offense. So in my
spk_0 mind, I used to think like, man, this guy is telling the defense where I'm going. You know what I mean?
spk_0 Yeah. So it was just we used to like just walk. You know, he's gonna tell them guys man. Say that
spk_0 for the game because right here coming hits you. See more coming hits you. Will you get aggressive
spk_0 with you and bruski and all these guys? And then we just one of those things where I'm like, man,
spk_0 I got to I got to stay full speed all the time against these guys because I don't know what kind of
spk_0 move they in or they just want to butt up or they're really going to try to hit you. So you know,
spk_0 just one of those plays and we kind of met in the hole. Yeah. And we just kind of thud it up. I
spk_0 didn't think that nothing. I went back to the huddle and you know, ran the next play. But then
spk_0 I seen Vets on here explaining like, and he was dizzy. My bad. That's a lot of mass.
spk_0 Man, when I got on Twitter and saw a Corey D Corey Dylan responded to that. Oh my god.
spk_0 I'm gonna spank my eyes for his biggest saucers. Oh my god. Yeah. We'll get into those new
spk_0 in the days later. But I want to talk about your come up. You're from Washington. Yes. And so I
spk_0 grew up in the Bay Area. And so when I was growing up there, Dayla Sal. Oh yeah, man.
spk_0 And the team that knocked them off their like 15, 20 year run Bellevue, Washington.
spk_0 And we used to walk on Bellevue. I'm from Franklin High School, man. So yeah, every time like
spk_0 we'll never play. I'm like, we're in totally different divisions. But we'll play on like
spk_0 skrimmish games and stuff like that. And I think we were at the time, double way. I think
spk_0 there were triple way. So we'll never match up. But high school football out there underrated.
spk_0 Underrated in big time. Lot of lot of great players. I mean, lawyer, maloid, you know, he was,
spk_0 we all from the same spot. So yeah, a lot of good football up there. It's been known for
spk_0 basketball a lot of hoopers. A lot of hoopers too. But football, we played, we played all right.
spk_0 Now you ended up at Washington. Yes. I was playing in the original pack 10. I mean, I was I
spk_0 know right in the pack 10, man. So I'm from there. So I think a childhood dream of mine was
spk_0 always going to the dub. It was something about the gold and gold and purple Huskies, man. Right?
spk_0 Yeah. Yeah. Tyrone William. He went there. He was, I wanted to go there when he went there.
spk_0 Oh man. It was, it was, it was the Don James. I was like, yeah. Don James, when 90? Yeah, man.
spk_0 I want to play for Don James. So by the time I got there, the coach was Jim Lambray. So I
spk_0 just transferred in from Dixie College. Do you co guy? Yeah. From St. George. So
spk_0 their team was already stacked. It was, you know, I had to get in there and make a name for myself.
spk_0 I mean, they already had all American running back at the time. Right? So I ended up getting
spk_0 second on a depth chart. And it was just, it was just weird. Like Sean Sihih. I think it was out of
spk_0 party and he, some happy word as an ankle when he couldn't, he couldn't play the next game.
spk_0 And you know me, man, I'm, I like jacking for positions, man. I don't give me the ball. Yeah.
spk_0 Because it's gonna be hard and I think he gave me the ball from that point on. So I got in there
spk_0 and did my thing, man. And turned out pretty good. And so then I, you had a, you rushed for 300 yards
spk_0 against my San Jose State Spartans, bro. We got to see who's it. I mean, I played in that at a high
spk_0 school football. In a quarter that we got to, we got to put some shine on it. Like if you're a ball,
spk_0 no, you got to know this game. 222 yards, 83 yard reception in a quarter in one quarter.
spk_0 35 all purpose yards in one quarter. That's insane.
spk_0 Might still be a record. I think it still is. Yeah. Double checked that. But my God.
spk_0 That's what Cory Dylan does. Some light, some light. No, light work. You know,
spk_0 how much ball you watching these days? Very few games. I, I like to watch when the playoffs hit.
spk_0 But like recorders season, if it's not like a big marquee, man, I ain't really, you know,
spk_0 yeah. I'm not really, I mean shoot. I've been looking at football all my life. I could take a
spk_0 little break. Take a break. Take a little break up. And I'm more, I watch more basketball than football.
spk_0 Who's your squad? Go and stay warriors. Warriors. Yeah. Were you always a warriors guy?
spk_0 No, I was, Sonic's back in the day. A lot of us. Yeah, I'm a home. Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah. GP. Yeah, man. I'm a homer. But you got to light some of your superstars get old and
spk_0 retire. Yeah. So my guy, it went from Michael Jordan. I love Michael Jordan, Chicago. And then
spk_0 I was a Kobe fan still. Yeah. You know, so when Kobe retired, I was like, hmm, what's the team
spk_0 like and sit down and, you know, have, have a meal and really watch? You know, was this little
spk_0 life skinny kid man shooting that ball, man? Crazy shot. Yeah. From half court. I'm like, hmm.
spk_0 G state. I like them. Yeah. I've been a fan every since he'd been to go, at Golden State.
spk_0 Yeah. I mean, I remember him at Davidson. Oh, we was killing him, man. Shout out. Jack was there.
spk_0 Jack was there. David's native baby was killing him. Oh, man. He went to the final four, right?
spk_0 Elite eight. He should have been final four. Should have beat Kansas. God darn it. But he's low key
spk_0 ruin the game. Oh, he broke the game. He's ruined basketball. Oh, yeah. He tried it. He'll throw
spk_0 up these crazy shots that like 15, 20 years ago, you'd say, what the fuck are we doing? Oh,
spk_0 he'd be on a bench. But he made some, but now we got everyone trying to do this. Right. Now,
spk_0 it's crazy to me. Like you watch NBA basketball now. It's like 43s a game. Yeah. Unbelievable.
spk_0 Joe. But Joe was really showing me one doing doing that. I know I get him credit, man. He changed. He
spk_0 changed the game. He did. Completely one man single hand one man come. Everybody thinks they
spk_0 got you three's now. Yeah. Speaking of another guy who changed the game. What about St.
spk_0 Quam Barkley last year rejuvenating the running back position where everyone's been trying to
spk_0 abandon. What's the state of the what's the state of the union on the running backs right now?
spk_0 I don't I don't really get it like the running back position been Markey from day one day one.
spk_0 I think I think all the positions are Markey. How do you go hand in hand? I think when that
spk_0 team started focusing on doing things by committee. I think that's where the value of the running back
spk_0 kind of got diminished as they can see now times get rough. Layting them playoffs. You need a run
spk_0 again. You definitely need to run a game. So I'm glad he rejuvenated that position. Well,
spk_0 well needed because I don't know. I mean, if they want to do that, you could look basically you
spk_0 could look at every position they try to devalue it. You know what I mean? Yeah. Why why that position?
spk_0 So I'm glad he brought it back around and and and and boosting back up that running back position
spk_0 because for a while, man, it was looking bad. Yeah. The running like the run game sets everything
spk_0 like you could win games with the past game. Yes, you can. And and that's what is sexy and that's
spk_0 what's fun. But the way to control the game. Yes. Is through the run game. And so like you see
spk_0 these teams that go up and they get up on these high scores and they're like up 22 points and they
spk_0 don't have a run game and these other teams come and they chase them down. You know, the team that
spk_0 sits there and can control the game to try to win the game has the best opportunity usually to win
spk_0 to me, I think. And I think in any well teams today, I would say like the team with the best running game
spk_0 nine times out of 10 is going to win. Yeah. Definitely. Nine out of 10. There's that one time where
spk_0 the past could get it. But yeah, there's so many things that have to happen. So many things. If you
spk_0 can control that clock, you got a better, better opportunity coming out what it up you. Yeah.
spk_0 Because then you're also keeping the other explosive offense off the field. There's so many
spk_0 complimentary things that come around with the running back position. So who's the Corey Dillon
spk_0 of NFL this generation? I'm going to go with King Henry man. I think King Henry. Yeah, man. I think
spk_0 we're all a little bit different, but we're kind of similar with the power and speed aspect. Power
spk_0 speed. Yeah. And that dude got a mean stiff arm too. So I kind of like to watch him run. If he ever
spk_0 gets a hold of this podcast, I got a suggestion for my big homie. Take the morn pads off, bro. That
spk_0 you got to feel the skin. You got to feel that ball. Yeah, man. I had a problem with that. Definitely.
spk_0 You used to wear my used to man. And and I never like laid in the game sweating, slippery,
spk_0 easy guy come swipe that thing popping around on the field. So me personally, I took him off.
spk_0 Yeah, I'm definitely left arm. I was down to me left in this. Are we always carried it in my left hand?
spk_0 Yeah, I went, I went sleepless, man. And kind of cut down on some of that phone one problem.
spk_0 Yeah, it's tough to see that this is coming around Derek Henry right now. Right. Because he's never
spk_0 really had a problem. Never. And then all the critics are going to say, well, he's getting older,
spk_0 this, that. But it's, you know, I don't think that's it. And it is. It could be simple as
spk_0 arm sleeve arm sleeve could be simple as arm sleeve. Yeah. Now, how do you work on
spk_0 fumbling? Like if you get the little bit of the fumbles, like, what do you do to try to like mix it
spk_0 up or try to like break through in that kind of contact? Right. Yeah, man. You got a bro. You
spk_0 consciously like, I'm a squeeze the hell out of this ball. And you got to be aware, like,
spk_0 when you get it, that last one we had, man, I don't honestly, I don't think he knew.
spk_0 Big where he, I don't, I don't, he's strong too. It comes from behind too.
spk_0 Is a monster, bro. I don't think he was aware he was behind at all. And that, that easily can happen
spk_0 to anybody. So I'm not really going to fault him because of that. But
spk_0 sometimes just like subconsciously, you got to, you got to have that in your mind, like,
spk_0 squeeze this ball. Yeah. It's just as simple as that.
spk_0 Stay behind it. Yeah. What's the thought on the Bengals these days?
spk_0 Damn.
spk_0 Yeah. That's a great, that's a great thought. I love him. I love Joe Burrow, man.
spk_0 I think he'd unchanged the whole complexion of how people view Cincinnati.
spk_0 But man, dude, that game last week, holy yo. And that's my guy, bro. From the dub. So I'm,
spk_0 you know, I'm rooting. Yeah. It was kind of, it was bad, but
spk_0 they need Joe, man. I mean, they got a great squad chase, Kiggins, Joe. And you know,
spk_0 and it's funny, man, we, we, we talk about this running game. I don't, I don't get it like,
spk_0 you gotta, you gotta implement that running game. It takes the pressure off a second
spk_0 spring quarterback quarterback coming in and thinking he got something to ball 40 times a game
spk_0 just to win. You gotta, you gotta simplify it off. And, and, and get that running game started.
spk_0 You're gonna take a lot of pressure off the offense. I mean, prime example. Josh Allen.
spk_0 I was on TV screaming, dude, we gotta get this run game going. Let Josh have to do Josh for
spk_0 five plays a game. Right. Don't let Josh be Josh for 40 plays.
spk_0 Hand that thing off. Set up like take the other, let the other guys get hit. Right.
spk_0 And it also takes pressure off your offense line who likes to go forward instead of
spk_0 fucking sit and pass blocking all day when you get all these fucking games and stuff. Right.
spk_0 So like, that's why it's important to have the run game. Yeah. Set it up. Set everything up.
spk_0 Set it up. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a runner.
spk_0 That's coming from me. Absolutely. But for me though, like when, when you had a good running game,
spk_0 you would get the one on one matchups. You know what I mean? So they, they would have to take
spk_0 that safety and if they bring that safety in the box, that means there's a less guy deep.
spk_0 So you're going to have better coverage as a receiver. Yeah, man. Yeah. It's simple. It's simple.
spk_0 I don't, I don't know where the game got so path happy. But it happens. Some of those
spk_0 offenses is you gotta be able to pass to win. That's the day you have to be able to.
spk_0 You pass a game. Yeah, you can't win with just the running game. But that's, that's how you get
spk_0 long sustained success is through a running game. There's going to be a third down, a fourth down
spk_0 that you're going to have to complete a pass in a dropback pass offense. But it'll be a lot easier
spk_0 when you've been beaten up on that defensive line. All fucking game. Well, running the ball,
spk_0 they're not going to be coming out like a bad out of hell. Yeah, it's, it's, I don't know.
spk_0 Get it third and short. You know what I mean? Like you can control that running the ball.
spk_0 Of course you got to have like third and five and third and seven. That's, and that's where the
spk_0 past game, you know, keeps in. It takes effect. You know what I mean? Let's get into your run style.
spk_0 Okay. Well, how would you describe your run style? I watched a lot of Jim Brown. Jim Brown.
spk_0 Guys. Phil Madden. And that's who I wanted to be like, you know, I watched a lot. It looked like,
spk_0 you know what he get here? He get up slow. You know, stumble back to the huddle and come back and
spk_0 run you over again. Yeah. And it was just repeated. And I was just watching him or all that film I was
spk_0 watching. He was big, strong, fast. And I'm like, hmm, I'm going to try to pat my game after that.
spk_0 And then on top of that, I, you know, I grew up watching football. So it was like the Tony Dorsets.
spk_0 Yeah. Try to still a little bit from him. The Eric Dickerson's. They try to, yeah, big guys, fast,
spk_0 take a little from him. Earl Campbell's. Walter Patens. Very sad as I never could be like that.
spk_0 That dude is phenomenal. But yeah, I just used to watch the running back position and watch all these
spk_0 great running backs. And then be like, hmm, I like that. I'm going to take a little bit from there.
spk_0 Take a little bit from there. And then you know what kind of form my own style, which my thing was,
spk_0 I call it my little bag. Like, you know, I may start off the first two quarters running you over,
spk_0 sitting you up next to two quarters. I might try to dance around you and it makes it up. So
spk_0 or vice versa, you know, just depends on what kind of, what they're giving me. Kind of worked out.
spk_0 It worked out pretty good. But you also, you were always like really good like the duo play.
spk_0 You know, duo or you have the two double teams and the running back really has to set that up.
spk_0 It's all vision, man. You know what I mean? You can't be too early to the cut or the fucking
spk_0 the guy scrapes over. Yeah. Can you explain that? I was real. Well, we had this gym Anderson running
spk_0 back coach for Cincinnati. This is what he preached to me constantly. Slow too fast through meaning
spk_0 in footwork and press the line. But out of pace where you can see the cuts. And that's all I really did.
spk_0 I never went full speed grabbing that ball. I was always on my footwork and a little patient enough
spk_0 where I pressed that line where I could see multiple cuts. And just by doing that alone,
spk_0 things are open up. Like I can see the backside, see the defense over pursuing. And then you know what?
spk_0 As soon as I see that opening, that's my exploker. Yeah. And then once you get there, you're looking
spk_0 for, you're looking for, I'm looking for whoever wants the smoke. So whoever wants the smoke. Did you
spk_0 ever get to meet Jim Brown? Yes. And it was funny, man. Um, met him a couple of times. Great, dude.
spk_0 Madam first time I was over. I was playing in Seno Golf Course. And he used to be out there all the time.
spk_0 So what was what was funny is like, yeah, I know you, you played some pretty good ball. And I was like,
spk_0 wow, the great Jim Brown. You actually knew. So you meet one of your idols and they speak in
spk_0 awesome. Jim Brown, I met him. Bill took us. I want to say I met Bill or a bill took us to the
spk_0 Hall of Fame. Like for a team trip or something. I don't know why we're over there.
spk_0 Who wants like a team trip there? I think Jim Brown was there and I shook his hand. I didn't get
spk_0 to like talk with him or anything. But it's fucking Jim Brown's got that big of impact. Oh, yeah.
spk_0 Like he just got aura. Like we all talk about all these little kids talking about aura. Yeah.
spk_0 Fucking Jim Brown got aura. You know what? I call him. I call him the Godfather of running backs, man. I think
spk_0 every running back wanted to be like him in some some aspect. So he looked like a,
spk_0 he looked like a varsity high school player playing against eighth graders. Yeah, pop one. Easy.
spk_0 Like you know, it's just like and that's honestly low key when we're talking about Derek Henry.
spk_0 I met when he had it before the fumble started happening this year. He was wrecking that team.
spk_0 And he he stepped on a couple of these Buffalo bills, professional athlete,
spk_0 safeties, right, making them look like little kids. I was thinking Jim Brown. Yes. That's what Jim Brown
spk_0 used to do to guys all day every day. Yes. So yeah, man. That legend. I think he birthed a lot of
spk_0 good running backs. He did. We just had Lorenzo Neil on the show. Oh, yeah. That's not something else.
spk_0 Lonel. Yeah. He looks like a fullback. But we had the conversation because in our research,
spk_0 like Jim Brown is sometimes referred to as a fullback, sometimes referred to as a halfback.
spk_0 Like it's just interesting where the fullbacks claim them. They don't claim them. Just
spk_0 doesn't matter. He's an incredible back. He's a tailback that could do anything. Yeah. Yeah.
spk_0 But all the like PFR calls him a fullback. But it's like he's really running back. No, no, no.
spk_0 Just it shots out to low low Neil man. That guy.
spk_0 Great times with that. That's a funny time with that guy, man. And yeah, man, fullback position,
spk_0 that dude, there's been many of times he got up and hearing and got on that linebacker gave me
spk_0 space to do my thing. So big stuff, big up to the him as well. Now we just, we had James Devlin on
spk_0 his also. We asked about the fullback running back relationship. And what did Jimmy say? He
spk_0 said that like he felt like a protector for the running back and like whatever the running back,
spk_0 he learned a lot from the running backs when he was in USFL because how he blocked
spk_0 they would be like, all right, you're not doing it. What's that relationship with the tailback
spk_0 and fullback on the other direction? Man, we got to be insane because you know what? Like
spk_0 my thing like I used to tell low, low Neil man like make a decision quick. Like I used to
spk_0 look at head placement on which way I'm going to cut like if he got his head outside.
spk_0 Or yeah, I'm you know what? I'm going to keep it to the left. If he got it inside, you know what?
spk_0 I'm going to cut it back in. So having those conversations and that relationship and where he knows
spk_0 like however he's blocking that guy. Yeah. My guy is going to make make make a quick decision.
spk_0 Those are things you need to know. Like if you're at the cafeteria and there's like a group of guys
spk_0 and getting ready to go to the hot food station. Does you see like little low Neil? Just he's like
spk_0 burgeon way for you to get through. Oh man. Bulldozing. Bulldozing.
spk_0 Bulldozing. Yeah. Bulldozing away man. I have never ate and we had that we had that type of
spk_0 relationship where I knew he was going to go out there and get active and do him. I never
spk_0 I never worried about that. My thing was just like
spk_0 as soon as I make as soon as he make that contact where the play is. Just reading off him and
spk_0 and we had a lot of success doing that. He did. Yeah. He did. Now take us through. We know you as a
spk_0 Cincinnati bangle. Yeah. That's what this game is. But let's talk about when you went to New England.
spk_0 Oh wow. Let's talk. How did that happen? We all we know. I want to hear from you. Well,
spk_0 well, here was a situation. I got hurt in old three. So I think I you know partially tore my
spk_0 what was it? MCL tore my groin. So I was I missed like eight games man. I was on the show.
spk_0 And this is back in the day when running back sugar getting like 800 carries a year. Yeah. So I
spk_0 was on the shelf and RIP to my guy Rudy Johnson man. He came in and stepped up and
spk_0 and he played very well. So I was thinking like hmm. And I'm getting up there. This is like my
spk_0 seven seven season. And there was rumors of I'm sitting at home. There was a rumor of
spk_0 the bang goes trying to trade me to Dallas. And I'm like really? That's it. Okay. Okay. I said no
spk_0 problem. I mean, I'm just saying in my mind, like yeah, just keep that same energy when I get all
spk_0 healed up and and I'm going to finish out this season and we got reopened in situation. And
spk_0 yeah, I went in. I was speaking to Marvin Lewis and I was just like, you know what?
spk_0 It's been nice. I think my time is up here. I like to move on and go some works. And it was
spk_0 just as simple as that. And I'm just looking at it from a standpoint of seven years man. I was
spk_0 we didn't win that much. And I'm kind of, you know, looking in the mirror and looking at my career
spk_0 of man. I probably got two to three more left. Were you want to go with this? What you want to do?
spk_0 So and then as you know, like I heard this. I heard this a lot. It was it was media play of
spk_0 the Patriot way. I didn't know what the hell that was. Like they got a coat over there.
spk_0 Is it some militant? Some kind of, you know, I didn't. And and and and the media was like, oh,
spk_0 yeah, Corey's not a Patriot way guy that I would never work. And I'm just thinking like,
spk_0 maybe I don't want to go there either. I don't know. You know, I just like to play football. And
spk_0 writing Harrison, we had the same age and at that time.
spk_0 I
spk_0 give him big props. I think he went in there and and spoke on my behalf. You know, and that's
spk_0 where the interest kicked up. And you know what? I didn't think I was ever going to get traded.
spk_0 To be honest with you, I was just talking shit like yeah, you know, give me a body here, whatever.
spk_0 And it picked up. They picked up. And next thing I know, I'm actually chilling at home.
spk_0 And I see across the ticker like, oh man,
spk_0 the angle's trade, Corey just to tell you find out. Yeah, I'm like, bottom maker.
spk_0 I was sitting there with a piece of chicken like, wait, wait a minute. Like what?
spk_0 And then you know, I get the call. I get the call. My age, he's funny, man. He's funny.
spk_0 And that's a whole whole different experience, man. To be honest with you. Who calls you first
spk_0 from the Patriots? Actually, let me kick back until how it really like transpired. I actually
spk_0 went down and seen Scott and Bill first. I didn't, I'm just meeting them and just saying, you know,
spk_0 hello. And they asked me a couple questions like, they, you know, you know, Bill straight forward.
spk_0 Yeah, Corey, I know all the shit going on in Cincinnati. And I just, I told him straight up,
spk_0 I was just like, man, it's all perricated on me. Just want to win, win football games.
spk_0 And he asked me one more question. He said, you know what? You think you could play for us?
spk_0 I was like, absolutely. We kind of, it was like a two to five minute meeting. Got up left.
spk_0 Never thought about it. Never thought about, you know, they actually trade, trade for me.
spk_0 Kind of left it alone until until it came across the ticker. And was like, oh shit, it's going down. So
spk_0 yeah, it was simple. It was just a simple process of, I don't know if that was tampering back to you.
spk_0 I don't know. I don't know. But it was, it was Scott P. O'Lean and Bill and two to five minutes
spk_0 man and we're out of there. Bill just needed to hear you say, I just want to win that part of it.
spk_0 That's all he that part of it. And because 1600 yards, 12 touchdowns your first season.
spk_0 That's all he wanted to see. Well, that as well. But he just wanted to see if he was about winning
spk_0 then he, he believed that his environment, he would adapt to it. He was seed Tom Brady.
spk_0 He would see everybody else. And then you know what? The whole, the whole thing about the
spk_0 Patriot way, you know what? I just kind of figured out is just doing your job. Which I was pretty
spk_0 damn good. I'm doing my job and being quiet. And you know, I'm like, yeah, I could do this.
spk_0 Absolutely. So it worked. I think my personality kind of matched like what they would,
spk_0 what they wanted. You know, because all I wanted to do just go out there and play football and
spk_0 I didn't really care on how it looked. Moves were winning. I'm good with it. So you're coming from
spk_0 Cincinnati. Yes. What's the first thing that comes through your head when you enter new in?
spk_0 Because they already they just won the Super Bowl. They just won the Super Bowl. Yeah, man.
spk_0 You get into you get into New England. What what do you like fuck?
spk_0 Picking yourself that part of it. I'm like, yo, like that's like, man, I'm gonna tell you,
spk_0 I'm gonna be straight up. Man, that's a lot of pressure. Oh, man. It was a lot of pressure.
spk_0 Because I'm thinking like, damn, they just want to see what in the hell did you need me for?
spk_0 You know what I mean? So that's a lot of pressure. And then it was the whole thing of
spk_0 me leaving Cincinnati going there. So that was a story itself. And then the Patriot way,
spk_0 is he got to fit in or not? But once I got there, man, you know, I don't play against these guys for
spk_0 a long time. I know some of these guys many were cool. So
spk_0 thing I love the body. It is like from from an organization and players perspective,
spk_0 they welcomed me. You know, it was it was cool. They made me feel at home. And that kind of
spk_0 took some of the pressure off and some of the stuff I was thinking. And then when it comes down
spk_0 to it, man, to me, it was like, man, I got to do show up and play ball. And that was the only
spk_0 focus on my mind. And if I do that, man, everything's going to work itself out. So and that's basically
spk_0 what happened in Overwatch showed up and play ball. What was the first encounter with Bill? Like
spk_0 Oh, man, you know what I'm sure you guys signed. Hey, I kind of got the feeling like Bill is
spk_0 not the person to be fucked with. I'm dead. Siri. He had this fear factor with the players of
spk_0 by man, he is not playing no game. So if you ever said in some of them, them teaming rooms with him,
spk_0 he is funny is I don't know. I mean, God, I'm funny since a humor. But you're he'll tell you,
spk_0 like, man, you don't want to do it my way. I will walk you to the door myself. Yeah. And he's
spk_0 serious. So I took that man very, very serious. And I was like, man, I do not want to do anything
spk_0 to get on his man bad side. So yeah, it was a self checker for me. Like, man, I'm always on top
spk_0 of my game because he will call you out. Yeah, he definitely will call you out. We'll be right back
spk_0 after this quick break. I started trying to get pregnant about four years ago now.
spk_0 We're getting a little bit older and it just kind of felt like the window could be closing.

spk_0 Put so much heart and soul into your work. What's the hardest part for you to take that criticism?
spk_0 This **** was not given to me. I worked my ass off for me. Even when I was a stripper,
spk_0 I'm a big the best pole dancer in here. When was the moment you felt? I didn't. I still

spk_0 In early 1988, federal agents raced to track down the gang they suspect of importing millions
spk_0 of dollars worth of heroin into New York from Asia. We had 30 agents when we go shotguns and rifles
spk_0 and you know what they find is not what they expected. Basically your stay at home moms were
spk_0 picking up these large amounts of heroin. They go, is this your daughter? I said yes. They go,
spk_0 oh you may not see her for like 25 years.
spk_0 Caught between a federal investigation and the violent gang who recruited them,

spk_0 Now how is the online? Like how is light? It was like the funniest movie ever.
spk_0 Oh my god, he was, man, always, always pulling some kind of joke or talking shit or
spk_0 something long that line. I mean, he kind of lighten up the, you know, the room and the,
spk_0 oh man, it was him and Drew Z and the rest of the guys, man, it was just funny. Yeah, I think we had a
spk_0 real, that offense was real, real fun. I mean, even though like we knew to assignment and at times
spk_0 things are super serious and we all about the execution, but you know, we had, we had some funny
spk_0 guys on that old were things. I mean, even in like situations out there on the field where
spk_0 make this kind of lighting, we was like, oh man, we got this, you know, so Matt Light is one of
spk_0 those guys. He was always coach, a coach was always on him like, match up the fuck.
spk_0 He was like quiet. He's always cracking some kind of joke. So it was, it was good, man, that
spk_0 whole team, man, that old 14 young Brady ish. I tell you what, man, this is when I got there,
spk_0 man, I love the guy, because you know what? I'm just getting there. And we being some pressure
spk_0 situations out there. This guy did not flinch. One bit. You had never seen that. I have never seen
spk_0 that. And you can, you can identify with this. Like when that guy calls your number in that
spk_0 huddle, man, you were right through Tim brick walls for this guy. I mean, there's, there's a situation
spk_0 he was like, hey, Rocky, he used to call me Rocky. He's like, rock, we need this first down to
spk_0 seal this game. We're giving it to you like three times in a row if we have to. And I'm like,
spk_0 bet, I got this. You know what I mean? And bro, sure enough, like, man, just a little extra
spk_0 pep in my step. Yeah. He called me out like, yeah, we need this three times in a row. Let's get
spk_0 the first and seal the game. So hell of competitor. I just love his mental aspect about the game.
spk_0 He was first went in first went out. Had a whole locker room respect. Good do, man. Good
spk_0 dude. If he was here, he'd be hanging out talking shit too. Yeah. Yeah. That's the type of person.
spk_0 Maybe one day. Maybe one day. Maybe one day. Yeah. Maybe one day. You like the president now.
spk_0 It's hard to shut up this guy. Maybe one day. Hey, man, can I get a, man, can you, can you
spk_0 frame me on ice? Yeah. We got a better look. You're getting the Pope in here.
spk_0 It's right. He's a football guy. Hey, man. Who is the team asshole? Oh my god. We all loved.
spk_0 There's some, there's some guys out there. There's the variables. There's the
spk_0 yeah. You hit it in first try. Oh, man, Braves is something different, man. Always going against
spk_0 a grain. Like, no, this is not why are we doing this? You know, yeah. So, at him and him and
spk_0 him and Bill was always into it about something. Braves is a good dude, though, man. Good. Yeah,
spk_0 That's it.
spk_0 Braves, man.
spk_0 Hell of a player, man.
spk_0 Smart, smart, smart, smart player.
spk_0 And you know, this is, they preached this.
spk_0 This is what Bill wants.
spk_0 Tough, smart football players.
spk_0 Braves is one of those people.
spk_0 Oh, yeah.
spk_0 How do you think he's gonna,
spk_0 do you know he's gonna be a head coach?
spk_0 Did you know he's gonna be,
spk_0 I never, I never bought about that.
spk_0 I'm like, I used to run his ass over and practice.
spk_0 Now he's the head coach, so what?
spk_0 I look at this guy, man.
spk_0 But, no, man.
spk_0 If it's him, if it's him, man,
spk_0 he was one of those brilliant minds out there.
spk_0 If you watch the Pats at all.
spk_0 Yeah, I catch him.
spk_0 I catch him.
spk_0 Yeah, you can't, you can't win.
spk_0 We're turning over five turnovers.
spk_0 Come, you can't do that.
spk_0 Jeez.
spk_0 You can't win like that.
spk_0 So you were a bona fide star
spk_0 when you got up brought into New England
spk_0 and they were just coming off of a Super Bowl.
spk_0 Was there any issues with jelling into the roster?
spk_0 You know what?
spk_0 I had, this is my brother too, man.
spk_0 Kevin Falk, bro.
spk_0 KVH, man.
spk_0 This guy, his locker was right next to mine.
spk_0 And he used to say, man, bro, you hear for a reason.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 That made me feel comfortable.
spk_0 And like, you hear for a reason.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 And there are some things I couldn't do.
spk_0 KFalk was a monster.
spk_0 He was the Swiss Army knife.
spk_0 He could do it all.
spk_0 Like my big ass ain't going out there running
spk_0 all routes like Kevin Falk.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Now ain't no work.
spk_0 So I think me and him just talking and him letting me know,
spk_0 like, bro, do you think, you know, this is a team.
spk_0 Nobody, nobody's bigger than another guy.
spk_0 And I really felt that coming in that building like,
spk_0 man, we're gonna go out here.
spk_0 And I never, I never was a stacked guy anyway.
spk_0 I never really sat back and like, oh, I need a hundred yards.
spk_0 This game, I just go out there and play, man.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 And whatever happens at the end of the game, that's what it is.
spk_0 But that guy was like, yeah, man, you hear for a reason?
spk_0 Let's go out there and get it.
spk_0 And we, we complimented each other like good.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It was one hell of a running back as well.
spk_0 He was.
spk_0 I played with him.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 He was focused.
spk_0 Yeah, he said there was, he was older when I got there.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 But he taught me how to catch puns.
spk_0 He's my punk guy because he was the, the hands guy.
spk_0 And then on top of that, like, he shared everything.
spk_0 He, me and him chopped it up.
spk_0 We taught.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 Plays great team.
spk_0 Great, great team.
spk_0 He filled me in on things I needed to know.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So yeah, that's my bro, man.
spk_0 Love case shot out.
spk_0 Okay, fuck.
spk_0 Now, take us through when you win a Super Bowl one year in.
spk_0 Oh, wow.
spk_0 It's like it worked.
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 Mr.
spk_0 Patriot.
spk_0 Patriot.
spk_0 What?
spk_0 Patriot way.
spk_0
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And it was.
spk_0 Listen, I've been chasing that part of football.
spk_0 Since I was pop warning, man, I always get to the big games.
spk_0 Maybe take a L never one one high school, you know, never get
spk_0 into the state championship.
spk_0 You know, so I've been that's been hunting me for the longest of
spk_0 actually getting into a championship game and actually winning one.
spk_0 I think I think that that's Super Bowl just to me, like kind of
spk_0 satisfied that that child football player means like, yeah, we finally got it.
spk_0 Heck yeah.
spk_0 I mean, nothing like it.
spk_0 Nothing like it.
spk_0 There is nothing like winning a chip, man.
spk_0 You know what?
spk_0 I was like a deer in headlights, man.
spk_0 You sit there and you see that ball being kicked off and all those flashes going off
spk_0 at the same time.
spk_0 You can get overwhelmed.
spk_0 I was I was like, oh, shit, where am I?
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Until I got hit and then I came back to reality and was like, yeah, man, we're in a
spk_0 football game.
spk_0 And he goes at the time with pretty, very pretty stout man.
spk_0 I was that was a very good team.
spk_0 We played in and ended up edge in the mile by three.
spk_0 So good game.
spk_0 Tio came out with a broken leg and got 130 on it.
spk_0 I was still balling.
spk_0 Still balling.
spk_0 I was like, he's not you.
spk_0 Who is this guy?
spk_0 But it's crazy because you were like the first star brought in to the
spk_0 Patriot way.
spk_0
spk_0
spk_0 Do you think that it eventually?
spk_0 Yes, it did.
spk_0 It got them to get rainy moss.
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So,
spk_0 Hey, I never it was never spoken.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0
spk_0 And I didn't really I didn't really think about that until well after I was
spk_0 done, but I truly believe maybe I'm wrong.
spk_0 Bill, call me or shoot me a text if I'm off.
spk_0 If I'm off beat with this, but I think the way I conducted myself there,
spk_0 kind of opened up the doors for the Randy Moss is another guy.
spk_0 I did too.
spk_0 For sure.
spk_0 And Bill used to reference you all the time.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 In a great way.
spk_0 I love Bill, man.
spk_0 Bill is I had a great respect for him.
spk_0 And because you know what I think I understood him.
spk_0 I got him.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 Like either you could do it or you can't.
spk_0 And he's, you know, let me know.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I think I'm kind of like that in my life too.
spk_0 Like, well, can you do it or not?
spk_0 So I understood, I understood him.
spk_0 And then also I understood the assignment.
spk_0 Like I get you.
spk_0 I'm not, I'm here.
spk_0 I'm here just personally like, I'm going to give you all I got.
spk_0 You know, I'm going to go out there and play my ass off.
spk_0 Don't worry about that part for me.
spk_0 And I think that just kind of ties into everything he preaches and what he was about.
spk_0 And we had it.
spk_0 We had a, we had a real good, good relationship.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 That's good to hear that.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Well, let's go back into time.
spk_0 And this is the second we go over pop culture around when the game took place.
spk_0 This game took place October 22nd, 2000.
spk_0 Number one movie, meet the parents.
spk_0 Actually really good.
spk_0 Shut up, Instiller.
spk_0 Oh, wow.
spk_0 Those are some funny.
spk_0 I'm old as hell.
spk_0 Don't go on and come on over baby by Christina Aguilera.
spk_0 I don't remember that one.
spk_0 I don't remember that one.
spk_0 Come on over.
spk_0 Come on over.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Pop culture.
spk_0 Remember the Titans.
spk_0 That was a fucking one.
spk_0 Bring it on cast away.
spk_0 We're all in the boxed offices cast away.
spk_0 That's a good dog named Wilson because he was so best friends with the thing.
spk_0 I was thinking.
spk_0 I remember going to me.
spk_0 My parents took me, my parents on Thanksgiving.
spk_0 Remember the Titans came out.
spk_0 Oh, yeah, man.
spk_0 We were not watching.
spk_0 You see you're a full grown man.
spk_0 I'm like a little kid.
spk_0 That was a damn thing.
spk_0 I started crying and stuff.
spk_0 So I left side.
spk_0 Peity.
spk_0 Shit.
spk_0 Super Bowl.
spk_0 The champions were the Ravens.
spk_0 That was an unbelievable defense.
spk_0 Marshall Falk was the MVP.
spk_0 What another insane running back.
spk_0 Yes indeed.
spk_0 Oklahoma took down the Nadi and Chris Winky.
spk_0 He was probably like 42.
spk_0 Very much back in.
spk_0 Super role.
spk_0 He didn't play my league ball for.
spk_0 Peter Warwick was on that team.
spk_0 That won the national championship with him.
spk_0 Good.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Good teammate of mine.
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 Legend.
spk_0 Real quick.
spk_0 Number 28.
spk_0 Why is that the best number for running back?
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 I just think it's the protocol number for.
spk_0 For I didn't even pick it.
spk_0 It was just in the locker like it found.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 This is what you're wearing.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I'm just like, I'm rolling.
spk_0 I said, all right.
spk_0 Cool.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Who are there?
spk_0 28.
spk_0 Marshall Falk.
spk_0
spk_0 Fred Taylor.
spk_0 Freddie T.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 A lot of us, man.
spk_0 Freddie T and you guys, you were kind of similar.
spk_0 Cause you guys are both big guys, dude.
spk_0 That's my guy, man.
spk_0 Hey, Peter, some work for.
spk_0 A.P.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Freddie T, man.
spk_0 Same division, man.
spk_0 I mean, if you, if you can make, if you can make a pro ball out of the division,
spk_0 we played in Freddie, Jerome Betis.
spk_0 Bro, you're really doing something.
spk_0 And then what's his, uh, who's the George?
spk_0 It was all to.
spk_0 Oh, he gets you lose.
spk_0 Who?
spk_0 Who?
spk_0 You guys went with the Baltimore Ravens.
spk_0 Were you in that division?
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 We played them twice a year.
spk_0
spk_0 We see who was there.
spk_0 They had the guy who broke the record like.
spk_0 Jamal, Jamal, Jamal, Jamal.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It was, that was running back you.
spk_0 That was.
spk_0 It was stacked.
spk_0 No, it was running back.
spk_0 P.
spk_0 Professional man.
spk_0 That's the university's kids.
spk_0 Man, that, that thing was we're running backs.
spk_0 That's it.
spk_0 It was so stacked up.
spk_0 Johnson, we're 28.
spk_0 Curtis Martin.
spk_0 Speaking of which, to Corey's point, 2000.
spk_0 Was maybe the pinnacle of all running back seasons, ever a record, 23 backs.
spk_0 Rush for over a thousand yards.
spk_0 23 backs.
spk_0 It could be, is it the greatest year for the running back?
spk_0 He guys.
spk_0 We ain't gonna see that now.
spk_0 No.
spk_0 Definitely not now.
spk_0 Not not with half of these teams doing things by committee.
spk_0 You will probably never see the likes of say, quen barkly again.
spk_0 When he goes, Mike and Rare,
spk_0 that B. Jean Robinson's kind of.
spk_0 Oh, he's bad boy.
spk_0 Oh, he's, if they give that border rocks, that's another thing goes to the point.
spk_0 Point.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 They're not giving the rock like they did.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 They used to feed you guys.
spk_0 Let me, all right.
spk_0 Let me redefine what if they ever get back to giving one guy like 25, 20 to 25, 30
spk_0 carries again, you'll see it.
spk_0 That's gonna be rare.
spk_0 This is gonna be rare.
spk_0 So yeah, I think we're in the last into a comes back in style.
spk_0 Hopefully where one running back and kind of control the show.
spk_0 And then you know, you have, you have some pretty good other runners coming
spk_0 in sparingly, but that one guy, you gotta have one guy.
spk_0 There's gotta be a good complimentary.
spk_0 That's why I like Detroit now.
spk_0 I got the Gibbs and Montgomery.
spk_0 And that's a bad.
spk_0 I can do.
spk_0 I like them.
spk_0 Those are some, those are some good boys.
spk_0 What he did against Baltimore the other day.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 Maybe like, uh,
spk_0 I have seen North football.
spk_0 I thought it's just be tough in the.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And they hurt though.
spk_0 Aren't they hurting the middle of the, I think they got hurt.
spk_0 I think I think we're the backers.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Listen to backer.
spk_0 They gotta be, you gotta be missing something to be in that out.
spk_0 Yeah, I'm 150.
spk_0 You're probably on the ground.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So did you play baseball?
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I did.
spk_0 I played baseball.
spk_0 I got drafted by the pod.
spk_0 That's what I mean.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So 2000 Corey Dylan could have played MLB maybe.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I just got scared, man.
spk_0 I got scared again, stuck in the minor leagues, man.
spk_0 I was like, fuck that man.
spk_0 Man, I could play third, second, center left.
spk_0 I was just, yeah, all over the place, man.
spk_0 I think baseball was my second love, man.
spk_0 I played that faithfully too.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So just the thoughts of like, you know what, this, this whole
spk_0 minor league thing compared to like, do you, you, you football ready?
spk_0 Getting go, getting go, kind of steered me down the football path.
spk_0 You ever talked to Brady about him being drafted?
spk_0 I never knew that.
spk_0 He was a catcher.
spk_0 What?
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I didn't know that.
spk_0 Contrary to our expose, we were Barry Bond's went no way.
spk_0 See?
spk_0 Their school, their school had some from that area.
spk_0 That school was like, they had, they had Lin Swann come from their Barry.
spk_0 He got man had some studs and.
spk_0 I didn't know, I didn't really know that part.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 No one really knows that.
spk_0 I mean, he's such the gold.
spk_0 I you would, you would know it would have been good too.
spk_0 I anything that man puts his mind to, I think he's going to be all right.
spk_0 So what was, what was on the Corey Dylan pregame list Walkman?
spk_0 Oh, man, you have tapes or CDs.
spk_0 You ready for this?
spk_0 Both.
spk_0 Both.
spk_0 I think I graduated to the CDs by then, but man, I, you know, I'm bumping a little bit of E40 C.
spk_0 Borty.
spk_0 Let's go.
spk_0 Man, little, little M.C. 8 ice cube, you know, West Coast rap.
spk_0 All West Coast, man.
spk_0 Mainly mainly bear a bela jid and, and a celly cells and a,
spk_0 Mac mall, Mac,
spk_0 Mac Drey,
spk_0 Mac Drey,
spk_0 a Drey dog with his original name.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I mean, with, yeah, yeah.
spk_0 I got up and Kansas.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 So that was my deal.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I was a high f you movement kid.
spk_0 I'm from the Bay.
spk_0 Oh, man, you jumping out of stop lights and.
spk_0 Go in.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 You go.
spk_0 Shake it on my back.
spk_0 I knew I liked you.
spk_0 I knew it.
spk_0 I knew it.
spk_0
spk_0 I knew it was something about it.
spk_0 You said he 40, man.
spk_0 I went to Kent State in 06 and my get a report card just came out.
spk_0 Oh, yeah, man.
spk_0 And I rocked that out there.
spk_0 People were looking, what the fuck is this music?
spk_0 Because everyone's from like Maryland.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 You know, we had a bunch of Florida kids, DC cats.
spk_0 Like what is this shit?
spk_0 Because you couldn't hear music like nowadays.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0
spk_0 Man, I grew up on like two short and all that.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And the richy riches and all that.
spk_0 That's amazing.
spk_0 So yeah, man, that's always been a part of me.
spk_0 I slap in a little little bass, something.
spk_0 Get my mind right and go out there and get down.
spk_0 Got it.
spk_0 Martian Linshotout.
spk_0 There it is.
spk_0 Jackie, let's break down these teams.
spk_0 Let's get into these Broncos real quick.
spk_0 The 2000 Broncos 111 and 5.
spk_0 To put it into a little context.
spk_0 We're two years removed.
spk_0 The second year of the post L way era, if you will.
spk_0 Six year of the Mike Shanahan era.
spk_0 Gary Kubey acquies were in that offense.
spk_0 Remember him down in Houston everywhere.
spk_0 His son Robinson run the defense coach.
spk_0 His right.
spk_0 Clint Kubey acquies the OC ad.
spk_0 He was Houston last year started off super hot.
spk_0 Now he's somewhere this year and they're doing pretty well.
spk_0 Offens of Corners.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I mean, heck of a coach and football family there.
spk_0 Look at the Shanahan.
spk_0 You got his sons.
spk_0 It all.
spk_0 There's so many crosses over in the NFL.
spk_0 And then you got Terrell Davis, of course, speaking of great running back.
spk_0 I say banged up this year, only played five games.
spk_0 So that gave way to Mike Anderson who balled the heck out this year.
spk_0 Offensive rookie of the year.
spk_0 How good was Terrell Davis?
spk_0 Man.
spk_0 He was good, but that system was awesome.
spk_0 That's about that zone blocking scheme.
spk_0 How many years could you have gotten in place for the drop me in there?
spk_0 I'm going thriller.
spk_0 I'm this.
spk_0 I mean, I would have loved you.
spk_0 Shanahan.
spk_0 So that was the running backs knew around the league if you were in a Shanahan scheme.
spk_0 Oh, dude.
spk_0 That zone scheme they ran was beautiful.
spk_0 I would.
spk_0 I would.
spk_0 I would hate all day.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 What made it so conducive to running backs?
spk_0 Well, I mean, dude, this is just the way they set that thing up, man.
spk_0 I mean, everything was just floated.
spk_0 It was like, like one step.
spk_0 It was just all unity, man.
spk_0 That dude, all he had to do was just touch the rock and make a decision.
spk_0 And he had lanes for days, bro.
spk_0 It's just like it wasn't he even really back there stutter and trying to find a home.
spk_0 Like no, he's seen it.
spk_0 Yeah, multiple options is just exploding up filled with the ball, man.
spk_0 That's all the running back really wants.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It's multiple options and one cut and getting up filled with the ball.
spk_0 I mean, Mike Anderson with for almost 50 and 100 yards is a rookie.
spk_0 15 touchdowns like.
spk_0 Who said the guy that came in after Mike Anderson quarters?
spk_0 Oh, yeah.
spk_0 That system was unmaniable.
spk_0 We had about the ACL too at the U.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I like about that when I was a kid.
spk_0 Man, he was a beast, bro.
spk_0 I don't want to do a system up there.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We got to talk about some of these other dudes on this team.
spk_0 We got Ed McCaffrey.
spk_0 You got Rod Smith, Desmond Clark.
spk_0 I mean, Terrell Buckley, Bill Romanovsky.
spk_0 Oh, no, he's scary dude.
spk_0 He would play in Jason.
spk_0 He'll him great kicker.
spk_0 Well, let me just let me just drop in some of these thousand yards.
spk_0 Broncos running backs.
spk_0 Orlando's Gary Mike Anderson, Clinton Portis twice, Rubin drones, Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell,
spk_0 Willis McGay, no no Sean Randow, CJ Anderson, all had a thousand yards.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 The Broncos.
spk_0 That system was nice.
spk_0 That was a good system.
spk_0 Yes, it was.
spk_0 So what was this era of Broncos when you were playing?
spk_0 There were good, man.
spk_0 This is the best.
spk_0 I think there's one good on that day against us, but overall, they were good, man.
spk_0 Dude, there were number two in rush.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 They had a style defense, man.
spk_0 That was just like, I don't know.
spk_0 Like I said, it wasn't a fluke, but I just think we were just our grind was a little bit
spk_0 different in there.
spk_0 We were fighting just to win our first game.
spk_0 And then overall consensus or Cincinnati is, we kind of, we kind of,
spk_0 we took that personal team's coming in overlooking us like it's gonna be easy.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We took pride in going out there and, and, and putting the fight to some of these teams.
spk_0 So we caught them.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We caught them.
spk_0 Jack, let's get in.
spk_0 Should we get in these, these bangles real quick?
spk_0 Yeah, let's get in the bangles.
spk_0 Tough start.
spk_0 So our now in six, as we mentioned earlier, ended the season four and 12.
spk_0 Had a coaching change in there.
spk_0 Week four, Bruce Coslett replaced by Dicolibot.
spk_0 So you guys remember Dicolibot from Pittsburgh, we're in their defense for over 10 years
spk_0 over there.
spk_0 Two Super Bowl.
spk_0 Two Super Bowl as heck of a career.
spk_0 Notable rookies, we mentioned Peter Warwick earlier, electric FSU legend, Neil Rackers,
spk_0 good kicker.
spk_0 Good play in this game.
spk_0 And this was the, the first year of the primarily Achilles Smith starting year came in for
spk_0 his Jeff Blacke, the year before that primarily, right?
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So that was, that was a big change in the offense and mentioned it also a little bit
spk_0 earlier.
spk_0 First year at the new Paul Brown Stadium, new Paul Brown stadium.
spk_0 All right.
spk_0 So break down this bangles era.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We were, we were struggling, but what out of doubt, you can see that record.
spk_0 But you know what?
spk_0 I wouldn't, I wouldn't trade those times for nothing, man.
spk_0 And I played with some real good players.
spk_0 And when, when times are rough, you, you, you can gauge somebody.
spk_0 Not nobody on that roster, you know, gave up and, and tanked.
spk_0 We all every game we went out there and we believe like, yeah, we're going to win the
spk_0 game.
spk_0 So shots out to the bangles teams, I played on man in the players, man.
spk_0 And that's what I'm not cherished to this day, man, when I, when I see some of my fellow
spk_0 teammates from Cincinnati, man, yeah, we fought, bro.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We fought.
spk_0 What's it like going through a coach and change?
spk_0 Man, it's, it's tough.
spk_0 It's tough.
spk_0 I mean, how much, how much can anything really change?
spk_0 It's probably the same thing, isn't it?
spk_0 It's the same thing because, you know, what, they're not going to change the offense.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 In the middle of the season, it's impossible.
spk_0 I mean, and look like, you know, Achilles was rookie coming in.
spk_0 That offense ain't going to change as much.
spk_0 I think the emphasis on that year was, hell, we got to run the ball more.
spk_0 I smiled like, yeah, give me the rock.
spk_0 Sweet.
spk_0 Good.
spk_0
spk_0 Let's go.
spk_0 So, yeah, it was, it was tough on everybody, man.
spk_0 Losing like year after year, man, that, that's wearing.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It's wearing it and it sucks.
spk_0 So, and everybody knows like winning, here's a lot of stuff, a lot of things.
spk_0 So, yeah, we went through some tough times, but the bond between us on them teams, them,
spk_0 them players, that man, dude, I had never forget that.
spk_0 We brothers for life, man.
spk_0 We went through, we went fought some real tough wars.
spk_0 Who are some of your guys?
spk_0 Adrian Ross, Nick Williams, I mean, Peter Chad, TJ,
spk_0 who's Mazada, T.J.
spk_0 Akeely, you know what I mean?
spk_0 TJ played there a long time.
spk_0 Yeah, man, T'Kio Spikes, Brian Smith, Brian Simmons, Artreau Hawkins.
spk_0 Yeah, these are my guys, man, all of them.
spk_0 I mean, and we could say we owed his hell now, we could sit back and laugh about some of
spk_0 this stuff.
spk_0 But, man, we fought hard.
spk_0 We'll be right back after this quick break.
spk_0 I started trying to get pregnant about four years ago now.
spk_0 We're getting a little bit older and it just kind of felt like the window could be closing.

spk_0 In early 1988, Federal agents raced to track down the gang they suspect of importing millions
spk_0 of dollars worth of heroin into New York from Asia.
spk_0 We had 30 agents ready to go with shotguns and rifles and you name it.
spk_0 But what they find is not what they expected.
spk_0 Basically, your stay at home moms were picking up these large amounts of heroin.
spk_0 They go, is this your daughter?
spk_0 I said yes.
spk_0 They go, oh, you may not see her for like 25 years.
spk_0 Cop between a federal investigation and the violent gang who recruited them, the women

spk_0 What was a young Chad Johnson like?
spk_0 You guys ready for this?
spk_0 Play it on, oh yes.
spk_0 Believe it or not, Chad was quiet, man.
spk_0 He was so quiet.
spk_0 Couldn't get that guy to say nothing for the first two years.
spk_0 Wow.
spk_0 We're talking about the same Chad Johnson.
spk_0 Oh yeah.
spk_0 That guy.
spk_0 Not Chad.
spk_0
spk_0 McDonald's and quiet.
spk_0 What?
spk_0 That was him.
spk_0
spk_0
spk_0 That was him.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 He was so quiet.
spk_0 Like, I'd be like, what's up, Chad?
spk_0 He didn't just be like, hmm, what's up, man?
spk_0 Nothing like the Chad we see now.
spk_0 I love that guy, man.
spk_0 What you mean?
spk_0 What you mean?
spk_0 We got shift.
spk_0 I played with Chad when he was older.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 I think he came right here.
spk_0 He was home.
spk_0 We're twins.
spk_0 Seriously, no, because he was like the first dude with like a million followers as an NFL
spk_0 guy.
spk_0 Maybe, maybe he can't.
spk_0 He was super.
spk_0 Everybody else caught it.
spk_0 I mean, like, I don't know.
spk_0 I remember young Chad, man.
spk_0 He was very quiet.
spk_0 Now.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So now you look at him, man.
spk_0 He's doing this thing, man.
spk_0 And he's killing him.
spk_0 Yeah, much love the Chad, man.
spk_0 Good dude.
spk_0 He's hilarious.
spk_0 How much was T'Kio's sprax of freaking monster?
spk_0 Man, that boy neck is like way out.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 You ever have to go nine on seven against him all the time.
spk_0 It's like he was fast, strong and played the game with just like you supposed to play
spk_0 backer.
spk_0 So, yeah, man.
spk_0 So our little seven on sevens and run at RBs against the line.
spk_0 It was epic.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Absolutely.
spk_0 And you know, slapping me out there, they always trying to get one up on me.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It was always a war.
spk_0 So good war too.
spk_0 So yeah, that guy won one hell of a one hell of a linebacker.
spk_0 He was.
spk_0 How was Cincinnati as a sports town?
spk_0 They love their sports.
spk_0 They love their sport.
spk_0 They love their sports, man.
spk_0 Where there is the reds or the bangles, everybody's invested.
spk_0 So you know what?
spk_0 I know we put them through some bad times.
spk_0 But they kept coming, man.
spk_0 That's a sports town.
spk_0 Skyliner Gold Star.
spk_0 Oh, shit.
spk_0 I'm going skyline.
spk_0 Skyline.
spk_0 I was Gold Star guy.
spk_0 Yeah, I was a, I was a Northeast Ohio kid.
spk_0 Yeah, you went to school up there.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So I thought honestly both the Chili's taste a little weird to me.
spk_0 Get ready later on that night.
spk_0 Be prepared.
spk_0 I tell you that.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Be prepared.
spk_0 Jackie jumping to the game.
spk_0 Let's get in this quick little lead up here.
spk_0 Denver, the big storyline.
spk_0 Terrell Davis was banged up.
spk_0 This was a Mike Anderson era.
spk_0 They dropped a couple close ones early.
spk_0 Lost the Kansas City.
spk_0 Lost to the Pats.
spk_0 And then over on the Cincinnati side, struggling a little bit.
spk_0 We talked about Achilles miss first year at the helm.
spk_0 Honestly, just looking for a win in this new stadium,
spk_0 this new millennium.
spk_0 Denver entered four in three with the league's second best
spk_0 rushed defense.
spk_0 I believe they're averaging 61.1 yards of game
spk_0 allowed, which is pretty darn incredible.
spk_0 Pretty stout Cincinnati on the other hand,
spk_0 Owen six and then looking for a first win at their new home.
spk_0 And in this new millennium.
spk_0 Brings us to week eight.
spk_0 So what was the game plan to get your first win in the first
spk_0 state in the new stadium?
spk_0 Man.
spk_0 Give you the rock.
spk_0 Let's just go out here and play hard.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 You know, I think the consensus in the in the locker room was,
spk_0 yeah, we're all in six, bro.
spk_0 Let's do something about it.
spk_0 You know, and we kind of felt like, you know,
spk_0 what they're coming in on that high horse too, they think it's going to be easy.
spk_0 And our thing was, let's not make it easy for them.
spk_0 Let's not make it easy.
spk_0 Let's not make it easy for them.
spk_0 And I think we as a as a as a team, that was that was our focus.
spk_0 If we're not, we're gun.
spk_0 It's not going to be easy for him.
spk_0 And I mean, you guys go through a quarterback change.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0 But the one constant was that you were running the rock.
spk_0 When did you feel that there is going to be a special day?
spk_0 Man, I think I broke one off for like 60.
spk_0 And I was like, oh, yeah.
spk_0 Yeah, this is, it's time.
spk_0 It's time.
spk_0 It's time we're eating.
spk_0 Yeah, we're eating today.
spk_0 And you know what?
spk_0 I think that put us up.
spk_0 I'm not for sure.
spk_0 But the score was close.
spk_0 We're like neck and neck.
spk_0 And I'm like, yeah, we got this.
spk_0 We got this.
spk_0 So as the game went on, I just felt stronger.
spk_0 You know, so often, Kudos to that offensive line, big
spk_0 willy and crew man, they blocked their ass off that game.
spk_0 Man, they created some some mass up holds for me.
spk_0 Made it super easy.
spk_0 All I had to do was just, you know, I make one cut and I was, I was out.
spk_0 Big willy shout out.
spk_0 Shout out to speaking of the big boys on the line.
spk_0 Do you ever, I know quarterbacks to it, but you guys ever hook them up with any
spk_0 any sick gifts?
spk_0 Oh, man, you know, I bought watches for the fellas.
spk_0 I mean, you know, I got paid one day.
spk_0 God, I got for the guy.
spk_0 I paid one day and they looked at me like, yeah, you got that check.
spk_0 What's going on?
spk_0 Absolutely.
spk_0 God, you got to roles.
spk_0 Yeah, some light, some light.
spk_0 You got to keep them invested, man.
spk_0 Absolutely.
spk_0 So what were they doing trying to slow you down?
spk_0 You know what?
spk_0 To be honest with you, that team was like from sideline to sideline,
spk_0 they were fast flowing.
spk_0 And I kind of picked up on this early.
spk_0 Like if we could get them going in one direction and make a cut,
spk_0 the floodgates is open.
spk_0 I think there was one, one play where, and you could see it like,
spk_0 Peter Ward, on a reverse.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 God, we got going one way.
spk_0 And then he reversed it back to the left and went for 80.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 To the crib.
spk_0 To the crib.
spk_0 And I was just looking like, yeah, they're overperson like,
spk_0 like crazy.
spk_0 So let me start setting them up.
spk_0 Just getting, you know, getting going one way and then looking
spk_0 for that backside cut.
spk_0 And sure enough, man.
spk_0 There was no backside cut.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It was wide open.
spk_0 Wide open.
spk_0 Wide open.
spk_0 Someone's getting yelled at next week.
spk_0 Somebody, baby fired the moat inside.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 That was late in the second quarter.
spk_0 That was a good moment.
spk_0 I'm going into the half.
spk_0 A Jason Ela Missfield goal keeps it a one score game.
spk_0 14 10 at that.
spk_0 You guys are excited at halftime.
spk_0 Because you guys were in it.
spk_0 We're in it, right?
spk_0
spk_0 Core already broken off some big runs.
spk_0 You got a 31 yard piece, 21 yard.
spk_0 I mean, brain it, everybody's getting involved.
spk_0 Everybody's eating it.
spk_0 We're thinking like, yeah, what we said earlier,
spk_0 we're not making it easy for them.
spk_0 We can win this game.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And so already had 161 rushing yards at the half.
spk_0 Since he did 161.
spk_0 Crazy.
spk_0 Then you have a crazy last five minutes
spk_0 where you, I think you go 40, 60.
spk_0 And the four minute offense situation,
spk_0 you break that long run and you go and you score.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0 Take us through that plate beat for beat.
spk_0 Dude, honestly, man, I'm just trying to stay in bounds
spk_0 and preserve the game.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I had no clue on where I was.
spk_0 Yardage wise at none.
spk_0 My mind, my mindset was like, whatever you do,
spk_0 do not step out of bounds, keep that clock running
spk_0 and you know, ice the game.
spk_0 And just happened like it was like a zone run to the right.
spk_0 And man, and eight, like I said, they over pursued
spk_0 and by the time I touched the ball,
spk_0 there was somebody already in the backfield.
spk_0 So yeah, so I come back to the left.
spk_0 And only guy out there really was,
spk_0 I think it was Terrell Buckley.
spk_0 He was the last man left.
spk_0 And I kind of set him up,
spk_0 juke them, got around them.
spk_0 And I'm cautious of looking at that sideline.
spk_0 I was very close on the sideline.
spk_0 I'm just like, just staying bounds.
spk_0 And once I got past them and stumbled in the ends on,
spk_0 I'm like, yeah, game done.
spk_0 Game is done.
spk_0 That's it, game time.
spk_0 So and then coming off, you know,
spk_0 we're pre-celebrating a little bit.
spk_0 And I'm just happy like, you know what,
spk_0 we actually, we ice the game.
spk_0 That's our first win.
spk_0 But walking off to the sideline,
spk_0 I'm looking up at the scoreboard
spk_0 and see we, we, the record, I'm like, no way, dude,
spk_0 are you kidding me?
spk_0 No, we just didn't break a record.
spk_0 So,
spk_0 overwhelmed,
spk_0 most of all, the light that we're getting to the end,
spk_0 our first done.
spk_0 But dang, man, that was unbelievable.
spk_0 And to me, it didn't feel like I ran for that many yards
spk_0 to be honest with you.
spk_0 I think I was just more focused on trying to get
spk_0 the W down anything.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Good things happening when you focus on that.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I mean, just gotta give Corey some flowers here
spk_0 for this incredible performance.
spk_0 In the third quarter, 37 yard rush, a 30 yard run,
spk_0 a 14 yard run, then we bring it to the fourth quarter,
spk_0 like we just kind of walked through there.
spk_0 A 65 piece to make it 24, 14.
spk_0 You got the, you got the announcer saying,
spk_0 this is the knockout blow.
spk_0 Then Corey's like, no, I'm not done.
spk_0 I got another one left in me.
spk_0 Once Denver scores, cuts it to 24, 21, a 41 yarder
spk_0 to seal it and break the record.
spk_0 Unbelievable.
spk_0 Unreal.
spk_0 And then you get, you get, you get drenched.
spk_0 You get the guy.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Just water.
spk_0 We gonna talk to you for the crazy.
spk_0 Like that damn Scott Mitchell.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah, well, I'm over there being, you know,
spk_0 I'm in my feelings a little bit.
spk_0 And I'm like, I'm overwhelmed.
spk_0 Like, damn, I just broke a record.
spk_0 And then I'm getting a Gatorade shower.
spk_0 I'm like, man, who did that?
spk_0 Like three.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And looking back on it, seeing the film,
spk_0 I'm like, Scott Mitchell.
spk_0 Fuckin' Scott.
spk_0 I think it is money's worth after just going in there
spk_0 and going over five and just handing it off.
spk_0 You're probably thinking he was throwing that thing
spk_0 was the water.
spk_0 You know the craziest thing out of this whole equation.
spk_0 I think we only pass for like what, 14 yards?
spk_0 Exactly.
spk_0 You're on the money.
spk_0 Two completion.
spk_0 And they're both in the first half for a killer strive.
spk_0 Who wins a game like that?
spk_0 Cory Dylan.
spk_0 Cory Dylan.
spk_0 In the Cincinnati Bengals.
spk_0 In the Cincinnati Bengals.
spk_0 There you go.
spk_0 But like that was bringing my next point.
spk_0 I was gonna ask you, Cory, like,
spk_0 what do you do when everyone in the stadium,
spk_0 the offense, the defense, they know, all right,
spk_0 here's where the rock's going.
spk_0 There's face that all my career day.
spk_0
spk_0 It was the norm.
spk_0 It was normal for me.
spk_0 It's another day of the office.
spk_0 And it being our offense in line,
spk_0 coaches to preach.
spk_0 Paul used to say, man,
spk_0 Cory, there's one guy left for you.
spk_0 Got to make a mess.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 We got everybody else.
spk_0 That last Paul Alexander, that last guy,
spk_0 George, do you?
spk_0 And get his eight nine men in the box,
spk_0 constantly.
spk_0 That was, that was, that's the norm for me.
spk_0 So I never, I never looked at it as anything different.
spk_0 So every game I knew what I was facing
spk_0 and got after it.
spk_0 So you beat sweetness is record.
spk_0 Walter Paye, did he, did he call you?
spk_0 I think, I think walk past the year before.
spk_0 He had passed the year before.
spk_0 Yeah, and that's, and that most,
spk_0 why was that, that's what I was thinking about, like,
spk_0 no way, man.
spk_0 There's something's not meant to be touched.
spk_0 And I'm thinking, like, why am I crazy?
spk_0 Ask, why am I here in this position?
spk_0 Eclipse and that.
spk_0 One of the best all-time performances, you know what I mean?
spk_0 So, because you're one of the best all-time performers,
spk_0 my friend.
spk_0 I guess so.
spk_0 That's right, man.
spk_0 So what happens when you break a record like this?
spk_0 Like, are you just, people reach out to you?
spk_0 Are there any perks of cause with that?
spk_0 Man, a lot of people reached out, man.
spk_0 But, man, it was funny.
spk_0 They had people from like the Hall of Fame on deck.
spk_0 Like, my jersey and shoes were gone.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Like, like that.
spk_0 I'm like, we're, we're these people coming from.
spk_0 You know, I'm like, you know, I want to keep the stuff.
spk_0 But they were there instantly, grabbed the jersey,
spk_0 grabbed the shoes and we're off.
spk_0 So, yeah, this is probably one of my best, best performance
spk_0 period as a professional.
spk_0 I mean, it was a damn good one.
spk_0 You said a record.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And you also had the rookie singer.
spk_0 The rookie, that orla game was pretty dope too,
spk_0 but this game, I kind of like, he was in his own.
spk_0 I was, I was in his own.
spk_0 Who's the coolest person to reach that afterwards?
spk_0 Let me see, man.
spk_0 That was so long ago, man.
spk_0 I can't, I can't really pinpoint him, man, but I got a lot of,
spk_0 I got a lot of people reaching out and giving me props, man.
spk_0 And what was homeboy on sports center?
spk_0 Tom Jackson.
spk_0 Tom Jackson.
spk_0
spk_0 That man, that man came down and interview me.
spk_0 We went on over this whole thing of running backs and I gave him
spk_0 the whole spill about Tony Dorsen and Eric Dickerson and Wald and Jim
spk_0 and he kind of, and Tom was a pretty damn good player himself.
spk_0 And he just looked at me and was like, yeah, yeah,
spk_0 you know what you're talking about, you know what I mean?
spk_0 So, I thought that was, I thought that was pretty cool.
spk_0 And something I never forget, man, this is that game itself.
spk_0 Now, you guys, every, every blue moon, I go back and peep it.
spk_0 You got to go back and check it out.
spk_0 It's a work of art.
spk_0 I go back and check it out and I look, she got to show you
spk_0 your daughter's name.
spk_0 That was cool.
spk_0 Dad just wasn't full of shit.
spk_0 You dad was actually a good player.
spk_0 You know, I go back and look at the game and I was like,
spk_0 to this day and I'm like, ooh, still give me chills like damn.
spk_0 I was doing it.
spk_0 He worse, sir.
spk_0 Jackie put a bow and put a bow on this.
spk_0 And it's great.
spk_0 Something else, Corey, we talked about it.
spk_0 You set the NFL single game rushing record.
spk_0 A record that is held for 25 years, sweetness RIP.
spk_0 Cincinnati Russia team high, 407 yards.
spk_0 You got work and Bennett chip in there was some big ones.
spk_0 Cincinnati would miss the playoffs finishing 4 and 12.
spk_0 Denver would make the playoffs with 11 and 5 record.
spk_0 Thaldebalt more in the wildcard round, 21 to 3.
spk_0 That single game record would stand until 2003
spk_0 when another AFC North foe, Jamal Lewis would break it,
spk_0 going 295 yards.
spk_0 That would then get broken by Adrian Peterson against LT
spk_0 and the chargers.
spk_0 And then you talked to it from last after he broke it
spk_0 or you're still playing, he's a division guy.
spk_0 Yeah, we chopped it up.
spk_0 I said, good job, man.
spk_0 I mean, honestly, like the way I think about it, man,
spk_0 records are meant to be broken.
spk_0 Somebody's gonna come along in and break it.
spk_0 Just look at that.
spk_0 I think that was not so far after Adrian Peterson came along
spk_0 and did his thing.
spk_0 So, yeah, man, all records are meant to be broken.
spk_0 Just gonna take that special guy to come along and do it.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And that was in 2009 with 296 yards.
spk_0 And we talked about it a little bit earlier,
spk_0 but no for Corey with join our New England Patriots
spk_0 and win a Super Bowl, beaten Philadelphia 24 to 21.
spk_0 Man, that's pretty darn cool.
spk_0
spk_0 Now, let's name the game.
spk_0 These are some names that we came up with.
spk_0 If you have a name that you call it by, we can go by that.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 We have the 278 game, the rushing record game,
spk_0 the record breaker, or the upset in the jungle.
spk_0 I'm gonna rock with the upset in the jungle.
spk_0 Upset in the jungle.
spk_0 That team guy, I like it.
spk_0
spk_0 Score the game.
spk_0 Is this the greatest game of all time?
spk_0 Let's score it.
spk_0 Desmos encouraged stakes.
spk_0 Zero to 10.
spk_0 Desmos encouraged the stakes of this game.
spk_0 Oh, man of stakes, man.
spk_0 We're going all this up.
spk_0 And if we don't go.
spk_0 We don't get it done.
spk_0 That's all.
spk_0 And that's evident.
spk_0 So, on our mind is it.
spk_0 Yeah, let's show up and play ball, man.
spk_0 So, if it's zero to 10, you got to grade it.
spk_0 Oh, I give it.
spk_0 I give it zero to 10.
spk_0 Nine.
spk_0 Nine.
spk_0 I mean, it's a high-stay game for him.
spk_0 High stakes.
spk_0 Gotta get a win.
spk_0 Come on.
spk_0 High stakes.
spk_0 Regular.
spk_0 I mean, I just got to let you know, we've done super balls.
spk_0 People trying to repeat on super balls.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We're trying to 3-peat in super balls.
spk_0 Girls taking their shirts off after winning.
spk_0 I don't want to get in the game.
spk_0 And I want to give politically crazy.
spk_0 I got to go with the five core.
spk_0 I'm sorry.
spk_0 Oh, man.
spk_0 It's a regular season game.
spk_0 We've won 3.1.
spk_0 That's right.
spk_0 She's in game.
spk_0 Now we got to grade the star power.
spk_0 The star power of this game.
spk_0 Who was in the stadium?
spk_0 You know, new stadium.
spk_0 Coaches, players, Hall of Famers.
spk_0 Star power is zero to 10.
spk_0 That's most encouraged.
spk_0 I mean, I'm a go.
spk_0 I'm a go at seven.
spk_0 I'm going to go like a seven, eight, seven point eight because, I mean, in the bodies of some
spk_0 of those coaches are even potentially other Hall of Fame coaches.
spk_0 Big LeBal.
spk_0 I mean, there's the coaches.
spk_0 It's a big coach thing.
spk_0 I was at 6.8.
spk_0 I had 6.5 and you're doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
spk_0 The game play of the game back and forth, a lot of rushing.
spk_0 Two passes completed on the offense for the Cincinnati Bangles.
spk_0 But the game played the game zero to 10.
spk_0 That's most encouraged.
spk_0 I'm going nine.
spk_0 I did my thing.
spk_0 He sure did.
spk_0 He did.
spk_0 Great.
spk_0 14 yards passing.
spk_0 Somebody had to do some.
spk_0 I'm going to go with the eight flat.
spk_0 There you go.
spk_0 I rock with that.
spk_0 That's, I mean, it's in the seven one.
spk_0 I just 6.5.
spk_0 Two completions.
spk_0 It's time.
spk_0 I think the most impressive.
spk_0 I was there.
spk_0 I know.
spk_0 No, maybe.
spk_0 Maybe the craziest part of this is this Scott Mitchell contributed to the rushing record
spk_0 there of the team.
spk_0 I mean, eight yards.
spk_0 I thought it was rushing.
spk_0 Oh, yeah.
spk_0 He was the blue one.
spk_0 I was the guy of all time.
spk_0
spk_0 I know.
spk_0 I'm going down.
spk_0 For the first time.
spk_0 For the first time.
spk_0 I got eight of those for you.
spk_0 Thanks, Scott.
spk_0 I appreciate it.
spk_0 Now we got to grade the name of the game.
spk_0 The upset in the jungle.
spk_0 Oh, man, I'm going to go.
spk_0 I'm going to get out of 10 because you know what?
spk_0 We all in six, man.
spk_0 And I was and I was a first win in the jungle.
spk_0 And that team was not a slouch.
spk_0 They.
spk_0 That was a pretty best defense.
spk_0 Yeah, that was a pretty good team.
spk_0 It's also like the significance of this game long term.
spk_0 And like a major record was broken.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0 That's one of it.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 It was mid season.
spk_0 Like a major record guy broken.
spk_0 You get your first win.
spk_0 You guys celebrate this one any differently mid season.
spk_0 Anything go out.
spk_0 Do anything?
spk_0 Man, I went home and went to sleep.
spk_0 I was tired.
spk_0 I was tired.
spk_0 I was tired.
spk_0
spk_0 I'm going to go with the eight.
spk_0 There we go.
spk_0 With 7.0.
spk_0 I did a point one.
spk_0 All right.
spk_0 All right.
spk_0 Where is it?
spk_0 What is the total?
spk_0 It is a 7.01.
spk_0 That's going to put us down at our new.
spk_0 It's just behind the 2006 NFC wild car game Cowboys versus Seahawks.
spk_0 And just ahead of Vikings versus Bucks week 9 1998.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 Over that game.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 Who's that game with?
spk_0 That was learned on the one.
spk_0 That was the ones that were in the low man's wins game.
spk_0 Well, they had another big Russia.
spk_0 You're in good company there.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Man.
spk_0 Rock with that.
spk_0 Yeah, that's a good spot.
spk_0 I mean, great spot.
spk_0 You look at like a guy like this is the top of the these are all games we've covered.
spk_0 Hmm.
spk_0 Fucking Patriots.
spk_0 There's a lot of Patriots in the top 10.
spk_0 Interesting.
spk_0 No bias.
spk_0 Zero bias.
spk_0 Let me look at the top three.
spk_0 Oh, no, man.
spk_0 That was one hell of a catch.
spk_0 But I love this dude.
spk_0 Man, that was wow.
spk_0 That was wild.
spk_0 That was I never seen nothing like that man.
spk_0 That was stupid route.
spk_0 Greatest comeback.
spk_0 I ever.
spk_0 Stupid route.
spk_0 Man, dude.
spk_0 Bad boy here, man.
spk_0 Julian.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 No, yeah.
spk_0 You know what?
spk_0 It's Corey, we missed anything with this game.
spk_0 No, I think we summed it up, man.
spk_0 We covered everything.
spk_0 That was so.
spk_0 But, you know, this is our real first time getting to really meet.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0 It's been such an honor.
spk_0 Because you were, when I was a kid, you were like the running back of the running backs
spk_0 in the league.
spk_0 And then I got to play with the under the organization that, you know, you want to
spk_0 super bowl in.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0 And you were always a focal point in teaching lessons of what I heard for my 12 years of
spk_0 being in New England.
spk_0 What?
spk_0 Who would always bring you up?
spk_0 Like, you know, in some form or a fashion, even like, look, you're no Corey Dillon.
spk_0 Like to some slap-dick running back or so.
spk_0 Or guy, like, you know, it's been funny.
spk_0 It's been awesome to get to meet you for the first time and.
spk_0 Yeah, man.
spk_0 Such a big fan.
spk_0 Thank you for coming on.
spk_0 Are you doing anything right now?
spk_0 Oh, man, I'm chilling.
spk_0 I got some lightweight scouting stuff I do.
spk_0 But other than that, man, I spent my time just golfing and mining my business.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 I know those things.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 And I like to say, it's a pleasure meeting you to, man.
spk_0 I really feel like we come from that same tree.
spk_0 And even though we didn't play together, still my brother, man.
spk_0 What does it mean?
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 So we learned under that same teacher, man, and very, very special moment for me in
spk_0 honor meeting you too.
spk_0 So, I mean, not a real talk, man.
spk_0 I watch you from afar, man.
spk_0 Hell of a player.
spk_0 Hell of a player.
spk_0 I appreciate it.
spk_0 It means a lot coming from you, Corey.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 We'll be right back after this quick break.
spk_0 I started trying to get pregnant about four years ago now.
spk_0 We're getting a little bit older and it just kind of felt like the window could be closing.

spk_0 In early 1988, Federal agents raced to track down the gang they suspect of importing millions
spk_0 of dollars worth of heroin into New York from Asia.
spk_0 We had 30 agents ready to go with shotguns and rifles and unit.
spk_0 But what they find is not what they expected.
spk_0 Basically, your stay-at-home moms were picking up these large amounts of heroin.
spk_0 They go, is this your daughter? I said yes. They go, oh, you may not see her for like 25 years.
spk_0 Caught between a federal investigation and the violent gang who recruited them, the women
spk_0 must decide who they're willing to protect and who they dare to betray.
spk_0 Once I saw the gun I tried to take his hand and I saw the flash of light.
spk_0 Listen to the Chinatown sting on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere you get your podcasts.
spk_0 Man, legend, legend, choree, I wanted to talk to him, but he seems like a great teammate.
spk_0 Oh, that shit. Oh my god. Cincinnati. Media horse shit.
spk_0 He's one of the fucking worst balls. He's just one of the fucking wind. He was a stud. He's an all-pro guy.
spk_0 Now we don't know when to win. Cory fucking Dylan back in the day.
spk_0 Could have been a little different, but he seems like a great hearty dude.
spk_0 He's really cool. He's a man. What a guy. I never met him.
spk_0 Really? No, it was very cool to see a bridging of the heirs there between you guys.
spk_0 That was really nice for life, we said. Amen. All I could think of. He gave me and I love you.
spk_0 I said, I love you too. Oh, fuck. I want to get on my horse and I love you too.
spk_0 Well, you're next back. You got to put golf at them. I know. Maybe a force him. Let's get out there.
spk_0 Alcat. Definitely. Something light. The one thing I wanted that I didn't.
spk_0 My favorite thing growing up was the four minute offense in Madden.
spk_0 Just running the ball with Cory Dylan. Just.
spk_0 Cory Dylan.
spk_0 He called.
spk_0
spk_0 Cory Dylan for no reason.
spk_0 He didn't clock.
spk_0 It's just etched.
spk_0 Etched in my head.
spk_0 The best.
spk_0 Cory Dylan.
spk_0 I've heard that a few times.
spk_0 Oh my gosh. He had some stories to say afterwards.
spk_0 He did.
spk_0
spk_0 Let's say in the locker room.
spk_0 Let's see if he's a good.
spk_0 He's a good teammate.
spk_0 Amen.
spk_0 He's not just going to jump on.
spk_0 Wait, it's the little red light is off.
spk_0 Says what he's going to say.
spk_0 He says he gets it.
spk_0 We're still rolling.
spk_0 But we're not going to do that.
spk_0 Oh, it's time to chill, Tyler.
spk_0 We need to chill.
spk_0 And that means it's time for chill zone brought to you by

spk_0 Let's go boys.
spk_0 What are we doing, Jack?
spk_0 We got something new for you today.
spk_0 This is going to get me hyped up.
spk_0 Oh, it's going to get me hyped up.
spk_0 You ready, Jules?
spk_0 Guy guy, you ready?
spk_0 Today we are talking sports bucket lists.
spk_0 We're going to go around
spk_0 middle three, four, not stringent.
spk_0 Not too rigid.
spk_0 Events, games, places.
spk_0 On a sports bucket list that we got to attend,
spk_0 it is before we kick the bucket.
spk_0 We just got to do it.
spk_0 It's number one on our list
spk_0 of things we got to hit in this boarding world.
spk_0 Events, big games.
spk_0 So, Jack, I'm going to start off this whole segment
spk_0 widely offended.
spk_0 These are personal.
spk_0 We're Stanley Cup on this list so far.
spk_0 This is a grab bag of things to pick from.
spk_0 Yeah, but these are Stanley Cup in here.
spk_0
spk_0 These are just jot your memory.
spk_0 With your Olympics, it's not.
spk_0 They had the frozen floor.
spk_0 This is just jot a cup.
spk_0 They got the natty fatty.
spk_0 You don't even need it though.
spk_0 You already had it top of mind.
spk_0 I know, but you had NBA fun, right?
spk_0 All right.
spk_0 These are just some already starting off offended.
spk_0 Man, I thought this was going to be fun.
spk_0 Okay, sorry.
spk_0 We can make it fun.
spk_0 They're okay.
spk_0 Now, these are events in this boarding world.
spk_0 You got to see before you kick the bucket.
spk_0 Two, three, four.
spk_0 However many you got, let's go around, turn by turn,
spk_0 break them down, have a little discussion.
spk_0 Let's get into it.
spk_0 You're getting yourself.
spk_0 Jack, why don't you start?
spk_0 Me?
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Why don't I start?
spk_0 I'm going to Wimbledon.
spk_0 I want to go to Freakin Wimbledon in July.
spk_0 I want to wear the white.
spk_0 I want to sit in the player's box over there.
spk_0 I want to go back and forth.
spk_0 I want to look fly.
spk_0 I want to see David Beckham.
spk_0 I want to see David Beckham.
spk_0 I want to go to Wimbledon.
spk_0 Can I say one thing about Wimbledon?
spk_0 I would like to.
spk_0 That could be better.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I always makes me sad at the end of the tournament,
spk_0 like in the final.
spk_0 Is it a snake drive?
spk_0 I don't get to pick Wimbledon.
spk_0 Yeah, you can pick Wimbledon.
spk_0 I'm just doing it for record keep purposes.
spk_0 The grass always gets beaten up towards the end.
spk_0 I wish there was a way where the grass could still look
spk_0 pristine all the way through.
spk_0 Nah, wearing tarot.
spk_0 The longer the shittier it looks, the longer you're going to be.
spk_0 It's like going to be spiked.
spk_0 It's like playing the Super Bowl at the Coliseum
spk_0 with a baseball diamond in the middle.
spk_0 It's got to touch that to me.
spk_0 Only only you only hear some real blast.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Filter filter.
spk_0 Dude, how many rubber pellets?
spk_0 Just everywhere.
spk_0 Oh my god.
spk_0 That'd be the worst.
spk_0 Sick.
spk_0 I would be sick.
spk_0 Now you've been to a few of these.
spk_0 I think a lot of them.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 I've been to World Series NBA's finals.
spk_0 US Open for tennis.
spk_0 Played at Augusta.
spk_0 I've been to Super Bowl,
spk_0 I've been to a bowl game.
spk_0 I've been to a final four game.
spk_0 I've been to the Daytona 500.
spk_0 The Kentucky Derby Stanley Cup.
spk_0 Never been.
spk_0 Yeah, so.
spk_0 I would say for me, my number one is probably one of the best
spk_0 Wimbledons in mind.
spk_0 I've never been to Wimbledons.
spk_0 So Wimbledons in one of mine.
spk_0 But my number one is probably a Rose Bowl.
spk_0 Oh, yeah.
spk_0 Really Rose Bowl.
spk_0 Oh, yeah.
spk_0 A Rose Bowl national championship.
spk_0 One just Rose Bowl for the first time for the flea market.
spk_0 It's spectacular.
spk_0 We got it.
spk_0 I want to go so bad.
spk_0 The Rose Bowl national championship doesn't exist anymore.
spk_0 Well, doesn't don't they get to do that somehow?
spk_0 They do the national championship game from the Rose Bowl venue,
spk_0 but it's no longer the game.
spk_0 I want the national championship at the Rose Bowl.
spk_0 National championship at the Rose Bowl.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 Right.
spk_0 They're they'll have a playoff game there.
spk_0 They have playoff games there.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 But traditionally as of the new format,
spk_0 the championship is always at like the domes.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So like a national championship at the Rose Bowl would be you.
spk_0 That's my bucket list.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Which team championship at the Rose Bowl?
spk_0 Which team's doesn't matter.
spk_0 You don't want to go to the Rose Bowl.
spk_0 Me too.
spk_0 Oh my God.
spk_0 I'm going to see you know when it goes from like four o'clock
spk_0 and it's late and then it turns into a night game late.
spk_0 It's like Twilight.
spk_0 Oh my God.
spk_0 See this.
spk_0 So cool.
spk_0 I just want to go I just want to go see the Rose Bowl.
spk_0 Like I just want to see it.
spk_0 I don't care if this is a game or I just want to go it.
spk_0 I need baby steps here.
spk_0 I do want to see a game there though of course.
spk_0 Let's go to one this year.
spk_0 I'm so I want to run with the bowls too.
spk_0 Put that in mind.
spk_0 Yep.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 Like it.
spk_0 Cool.
spk_0 That would be tight.
spk_0 I'm never done that.
spk_0 You're not on a balcony.
spk_0 You're talking down there.
spk_0 All white little red hanker.
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 You want to it's not about.
spk_0 For me, it's about the people around.
spk_0 For sure.
spk_0 You know, you got to make sure you got to get out of the way of those.
spk_0 Little little red wine.
spk_0 Little meats.
spk_0 Some charcootery.
spk_0 Definitely running with the bowls.
spk_0 I would like to go to a game seven Stanley Cup final
spk_0 with the penguins at home.
spk_0 Game set.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 I like that.
spk_0 Specific.
spk_0 I'm going to go.
spk_0 I like this.
spk_0 See because like last year I did game five NBA five.
spk_0 You saw a clinging.
spk_0 So I didn't see one.
spk_0 Actually, you know, I take it back.
spk_0 I would like to see a penguin's clinging Stanley Cup final.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 Game seven penguins.
spk_0 Clincher.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Stanley Cup.
spk_0 I like that.
spk_0 I like that.
spk_0 A vendor of Patriots Super Bowl, which was cool.
spk_0 See, I got it.
spk_0 It's boring and it ain't sexy because you guys have already done it time and time again.
spk_0 But like, as a ball, no, I got it.
spk_0 I've never been to a Super Bowl.
spk_0 I gotta go.
spk_0 You gotta go.
spk_0 I gotta put it on there.
spk_0 What's all you need?
spk_0 I know.
spk_0 As a fan.
spk_0 It's just too much of the hubbub in the
spk_0 it's so super.
spk_0 It's a week long New Year's Eve party.
spk_0 I've been to
spk_0 FOMO personified the whole.
spk_0 I've been to the weeks of it, which I guess is gradually I'm getting there.
spk_0 My last ones either Wimbledon or Masters with Tiger Plains.
spk_0 You can do more.
spk_0 You can do one three.
spk_0 I just put three up here to get us going.
spk_0 Masters is up there for me too.
spk_0 I'm not trying to flex anything, but I did play against ones.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Fucking tight.
spk_0 But I didn't get to like have like, I guess like the dog,
spk_0 like the hot dogs and stuff for all like a buck 50.
spk_0 You met a sandwich for the day.
spk_0
spk_0 I never got any of that stuff.
spk_0 It was, you know what I mean?
spk_0 So I didn't get to experience it.
spk_0 Oh, yeah, with Tiger Plain.
spk_0 In Sunday, in Sunday with Tiger and Red.
spk_0 No, it has to be Tiger competing on Sunday in the hunt.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Red shirt.
spk_0 We're going.
spk_0 Imagine that.
spk_0 That's a good one.
spk_0 Imagine the Tiger and the hunt Sunday on Sunday.
spk_0 So I've in red in red.
spk_0 I'm going to add one.
spk_0 I've been Wimbledon will be cool too though.
spk_0 But there's also like, I was thinking of Turkey Derby.
spk_0 Sorry, I'm cutting you on.
spk_0 No, this is the word.
spk_0 You can do it.
spk_0 Turkey Derby.
spk_0 That's fine.
spk_0 I've done the Kentucky Derby, but I've never like,
spk_0 I was invited to the England's Kentucky Derby.
spk_0 What is that?
spk_0 There's something like that.
spk_0 Oh, I should know this.
spk_0 But it's supposed to be like, yeah, super swanky.
spk_0 You know what I mean?
spk_0 Like you think Kentucky Derby swanky there.
spk_0 It's like, really?
spk_0 We go to Oxford.
spk_0 Yeah, you know the real ask got.
spk_0 Yeah, you have to wear an ask got.
spk_0 Ask got loves it, bro.
spk_0 He loves it over there.
spk_0 He's an ask got.
spk_0 No, no, no, Charles Woodson.
spk_0 Sorry.
spk_0 Charles Woodson's like, haven't seen me.
spk_0
spk_0 Hey, I'll tell you you want to know how I know me and Charles
spk_0 are bonding on our show.
spk_0 Charles didn't wear a tie.
spk_0 He didn't wear a tie for the first time.
spk_0
spk_0 Does he?
spk_0 Has he been circling into the main show too?
spk_0
spk_0 Taking notes, baby.
spk_0 He's hung up the ask got.
spk_0 That needs me and Charles.
spk_0 I've sent him an ask got.
spk_0 But as he was wearing it lately,
spk_0 he's been in Charles connecting.
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 Okay.
spk_0 His son just had a fucking, he took a kick off.
spk_0 He sent me this video of his son taking a house
spk_0 calling a kick off.
spk_0 It looked just like Charles out there.
spk_0 He's in high school in college.
spk_0 High school in Orlando.
spk_0 He got the same body language.
spk_0 He haven't sent us that footage for the next team
spk_0 mobile segment for years.
spk_0 Yeah, we'll break him down.
spk_0 We'll have you and Rob react to it.
spk_0 Wait, what?
spk_0 The high school footage.
spk_0 Oh, we should definitely talk after all.
spk_0 I'll do all day.
spk_0 I'll do all day.
spk_0 I think he said for the next time.
spk_0 I think he said, I think he said,
spk_0 in the end, you know, I just said,
spk_0 did you just say for the next T-bow event?
spk_0 No, T-mobile.
spk_0 I thought you were in high school.
spk_0 Besides his kid.
spk_0 What are we doing, bro?
spk_0 No, that's what you can't talk about Black dude's dick.
spk_0 Oh my god.
spk_0 Let me see that steady hand.
spk_0 How steady is it?
spk_0 We doing, bro.
spk_0 Oh my god.
spk_0 I would like to see America versus the Canada
spk_0 for the gold medal game would be fun.
spk_0 Winter Olympics.
spk_0 Winter Olympics.
spk_0 Winter Olympics.
spk_0 Yeah, Winter Olympics.
spk_0 Frozen for us.
spk_0 You are the frozen for.
spk_0 No, no, no, no.
spk_0 Final for.
spk_0 What's the winter game now?
spk_0 The tournament.
spk_0 No, four nations.
spk_0 That's nothing.
spk_0 Yeah, yeah, but that ain't the Olympics.
spk_0 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
spk_0 That ain't the Olympics.
spk_0 Gold medal game.
spk_0 US versus.
spk_0 Do we have an opportunity this year?
spk_0 I don't know.
spk_0 Well, the winter Olympics aren't for...
spk_0 Where is that?
spk_0 I don't even know.
spk_0 Where's the next winter Olympics?
spk_0 I like the winter Olympics.
spk_0 I like the one of them, too.
spk_0 Milan.
spk_0 Milan.
spk_0 2000s.
spk_0 This snow in Milan, Italy?
spk_0 Yeah, in the mountains.
spk_0 2026.
spk_0 Oh, so it's coming up.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 So they'll probably have all their mountain shoes.
spk_0 I don't know like this.
spk_0 Sliced out.
spk_0 No, no, no.
spk_0 In Italian Alps.
spk_0 That'd be nice.
spk_0 That'd be cool.
spk_0 That'd be cool.
spk_0 I mean, I gotta go one more.
spk_0 Ooh, this is tough, brother.
spk_0 Masters is up there.
spk_0 In general, I gotta say,
spk_0 maybe World Cup.
spk_0 Maybe World Cup.
spk_0 I may or may not have been
spk_0 sharing a lovely meal with a with a baby the other week.
spk_0 By the red, all that stuff.
spk_0 I might have been cash and checks my ass can't write.
spk_0 So I get to World Cup.
spk_0 Take it easy.
spk_0 We're talking World Cup.
spk_0 I'm like, I get those easy.
spk_0 I see cash and checks my ass can write.
spk_0 Like pro bono game time.
spk_0 Yes.
spk_0 So it's here in town, right?
spk_0 Yeah, we're talking about.
spk_0 I was like, I get those Charlotte and you're Charlotte.
spk_0 Jalell, they're gonna see here.
spk_0 No, 28.
spk_0 Atlanta, maybe that's three more years.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Right, it's the same year as the Olympic.
spk_0 Are they gonna have the subway thing done here?
spk_0 Probably for it.
spk_0 That's just, yeah, I think they're trying to do that for the Olympic.
spk_0 That's what I mean.
spk_0 Yeah, that's how I always see.
spk_0 World Cup earlier.
spk_0 I see him again over the one in the middle.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 Mid-Cities looking like it's finished.
spk_0 Yeah, no, it's 2026.
spk_0 It's 2026.
spk_0 No shot.
spk_0 It's next year.
spk_0 No, it's this summer.
spk_0 No shot.
spk_0 No, don't hold your breath.
spk_0 Yeah, I'm over here on my guard.
spk_0 So you're saying World Cup,
spk_0 World Cup final.
spk_0 World Cup final.
spk_0 The club that we've been trying to do.
spk_0 Probably the final.
spk_0 Is that not freak you guys out that they're putting a subway under LA,
spk_0 which isn't a fucking.
spk_0 I met a guy.
spk_0 I think I met a guy.
spk_0 I was on the like, I'm so here.
spk_0 I was sitting here like I drove because we drive that route
spk_0 when I take a little bit of soccer and every time I think about like,
spk_0 don't know if I want to go on that thing.
spk_0 Do you often spend time in public transportation?
spk_0 Subway.
spk_0 Are you subway in New York all the time?
spk_0 Yeah, I have to.
spk_0 But think about it.
spk_0 If you have that subway thing,
spk_0 I think it goes all the way to midtown so you can get to like the
spk_0 the flea market a lot quicker.
spk_0 And it's going all the way into the beach too.
spk_0 Yeah, yeah, it's going to take a while.
spk_0 So I mean, you're not going to not try it.
spk_0 Purple line, right?
spk_0
spk_0 Purple.
spk_0 The only time I've ever seen,
spk_0 you get to see the first three years, it'll be clean and good.
spk_0 There's some kind of training LA, right?
spk_0 Yeah, there's a community.
spk_0 There's a lot of it.
spk_0 The only time I ever seen it was in collateral.
spk_0 Clad.
spk_0 Could you downtime?
spk_0 Yeah, Tom Cruise, remember?
spk_0 I don't, but I kind of see the game.
spk_0 I know the scene.
spk_0 Yeah, the scene.
spk_0 You know the scene.
spk_0 I don't know the game.
spk_0 I'm seeing the Fox.
spk_0 Michael Mint.
spk_0 Oh, what a movie.
spk_0 Jack, do you have a preference on teens?
spk_0 Oh, man, I would like to see.
spk_0 US, but then I know it ain't going to happen.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 US and the World Cup final to take the win.
spk_0 In America, in America would be pretty sweet.
spk_0 Never happened.
spk_0 I would be just brimming with national problems.
spk_0 What's your last one?
spk_0 Masters or World Cup?
spk_0 One of the two.
spk_0 No, I'll lay World Cup.
spk_0 I guess I'll go World Cup.
spk_0 World Cup because you're taking them your best.
spk_0 Yeah, yeah.
spk_0 I'm catching that check.
spk_0 Making it happen.
spk_0 Speaking it into existence, I'm splitting it into Jimmy.
spk_0 Manifest says shit.
spk_0 Why not?
spk_0 Manifestation.
spk_0 All 2025.
spk_0 Fall 2025.
spk_0 We are manifesting.
spk_0 Manifestation.
spk_0 There it is.
spk_0 Mark my words.
spk_0 I'll see you guys there.
spk_0 And my last one.
spk_0 I'm split between two.
spk_0 Okay, lay it on top.
spk_0 I'm split between a national championship with a Virginia Tech,
spk_0 which is as unlikely as America being in the World Cup.
spk_0 Ooh, you mean it's not like that.
spk_0 And also,
spk_0 Tour de France.
spk_0 Now, I have done it before.
spk_0 I have been in France before.
spk_0 But like, how fun is the Tour de France going?
spk_0 It's incredible, bro.
spk_0 You have no idea.
spk_0 You have no idea.
spk_0 It's amazing.
spk_0 And we get baguette.
spk_0 It's like you watch a bike go by.
spk_0 You have for 10 cents.
spk_0 No, no, no, no.
spk_0 So you run it with him for a sec.
spk_0 You don't know, ball with cycling,
spk_0 because you go on a mountain stage, right?
spk_0 So it's uphill.
spk_0 You climb, you hike up there all day early.
spk_0 I mean, you feel why I'm saying to watch this event.
spk_0 You are hiking anything.
spk_0 You're sitting there like this.
spk_0 No, no, you gotta, you're gonna see a dude drive by.
spk_0 You're gonna see a little dude on a vestiblet with the camera going by.
spk_0 You don't know, ball.
spk_0 This show's amazing.
spk_0 No, they shut down the road.
spk_0 You can get up there.
spk_0 Sometimes you can get up there with chair lifts,
spk_0 or you can go up ahead of time.
spk_0 It's like a full-on European tailgate.
spk_0 I don't know, ball.
spk_0 I don't know, ball.
spk_0 You don't know.
spk_0 I don't know, cycling ball.
spk_0 I don't know if you know this.
spk_0 I won the best buddies, fuck it.
spk_0 You were the only one 30 miles.
spk_0 You were the only one trying.
spk_0 The 30 mile.
spk_0 Let's go, baby.
spk_0 I won the 30 mile cycle.
spk_0 The 30 mile was from the strong.
spk_0 The 30 mile was for like the kid.
spk_0 Or was it 60?
spk_0 It was 60 miles.
spk_0 You dipped out of the mud, baby.
spk_0 Easy money.
spk_0 You ran the like 50 year old segment in one.
spk_0 Young Floyd Landis.
spk_0 Let's go.
spk_0 Just say it.
spk_0 I've been sick.
spk_0 For someone who don't know cycling,
spk_0 who don't know, don't know,
spk_0 what do they call them?
spk_0 Spokes.
spk_0 You know, I'm a Spokehead dog.
spk_0 Going to see the two or the fucking,
spk_0 my little guy on and stuff,
spk_0 you got to wear the little thing to,
spk_0 oh yeah, a little crap.
spk_0 Yeah, well, that's terrible podcasting.
spk_0 You got to wear a thing on your cross for the bib.
spk_0 Your bibs.
spk_0 So because you sit down on that thing for like three hours,
spk_0 it's hard.
spk_0 Yeah, but like those guys don't need padding.
spk_0 Get that rash down there.
