spk_0 And I had been, like, I feel like you know, as a person who's been invested in Game of Thrones

spk_0 for a really long time at this point, I've had to kind of let go, because it's like,

spk_0 who knows when George is putting that next book out.

spk_0 So I think I was like, any day now, guarding my heart.

spk_0 And not getting invested, but like, I'm like, watching it last night.

spk_0 My ass was on Wiki of Ice Empire.

spk_0 It did not last night.

spk_0 I'm wearing shit.

spk_0 And I'm like, oh, because it's like, well, I don't quite remember everyone's name.

spk_0 So I may just go look real quick.

spk_0 And then like an hour later, I'm like deep, deep in the recesses of the Wiki.

spk_0 And it made me kind of want to read the books again.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 Because I haven't reread the story that this is based off of.

spk_0 And I can't even remember, because I think I read the Princess and the Queen, right?

spk_0 We did that for Castle Thrones a million years ago.

spk_0 But there's like another version of it, I think.

spk_0 And I think Felicia, you've read both.

spk_0 This is our intro episode for season two, a sun for our sun.

spk_0 This season we're going to do things a little bit differently.

spk_0 The short version is basically due to, it's hard out there, I think, is maybe the way

spk_0 to describe it.

spk_0 And as a creator, it's always important to make sure you're dividing your priorities

spk_0 and time in a way that makes sense.

spk_0 And in order to do that, I decided that the best way to move forward would be to basically

spk_0 release this the first episode on the cast of Thrones feed.

spk_0 If I could figure it out, that's the one feed still in the old system.

spk_0 It's confusing.

spk_0 It's such a good intro.

spk_0 I love visually like huge improvement on my own in my opinion.

spk_0 Last season was fun, but way too much.

spk_0 It was fine.

spk_0 I don't know.

spk_0 It didn't, it didn't work joy in my heart.

spk_0 I always skipped it and I did not ever skip the Game of Thrones intro.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 And this intro I shall not be skipping because it's so good.

spk_0 There's so many things to see.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 So many little Easter eggs.

spk_0 I like to think of them as Helena's prophecies.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 Sure.

spk_0 I mean, that's probably true.

spk_0 And I feel like having it on like a tapestry is just like such a good idea because I don't

spk_0 know, it's like so.

spk_0 The era and I feel like the costuming and the stuffing game of thrones is also detailed

spk_0 and thoughtful that it makes sense for it to be on a tapestry.

spk_0 And while there's not a lot of like quote unquote technological jump between, you know, a song

spk_0 of ice and fire and house of the dragon, this is a prequel.

spk_0 It will air go.

spk_0 It makes sense to make it do on a more technologically outdated, I guess.

spk_0 Yeah.

spk_0 But yeah, it's funny how they're going through it when everyone's hairs the exact same.

spk_0 So I was like, I think they're doing the history complete.

spk_0 And then I was like, okay, there's your hairs.

spk_0 I know that's your hair.

spk_0 So, okay, I can definitely figure that part out.

spk_0 But I do want to maybe later slow down and see if I can zoom in on anything particular.

spk_0 Like, you know, it felt pretty straightforward.

spk_0 But like Nikah said, there's probably a whole bunch of Easter eggs and stuff.

spk_0 Yeah, I kind of just like let it wash over me yesterday when I watched it.

spk_0 And hopefully some people smarter and more like more in the know than me will explain what

spk_0 it all is.

spk_0 There's a good thread on Twitter, obviously, already, where they went through and took

spk_0 pictures of everything.

spk_0 So you see like the doom of Valeria and you see the conquerors coming and you do see

spk_0 Luceries getting eaten by Vagar.

spk_0 So I wonder if we're going to add in like what happens each episode like one of a big of

spk_0 I'm just about is how they're going to change it because it is such a history thing.

spk_0 Well, it depends if they're using a game of thrones travel logic or well, actually, they

spk_0 have dragons so they can.

spk_0 we're going to rape you if you don't tell us the right thing to do or whatever.

spk_0 They're kind of moving away from that.

spk_0 I feel like they're like, all right, we did it.

spk_0 So the episode title was a son for a son.

spk_0 And the whole time I mentioned a few times, but the whole time the whole episode is mirroring

spk_0 each other, but each house's storyline is working backwards towards each other.

spk_0 Because the episode starts with a mother Raniara morning, the loss of her son,

spk_0 the episode ends with Alison Helena morning, her son.

spk_0 Yes, there is the full conversation between Raniara's and Damon and then the

spk_0 about like their ruler Raniara.

spk_0 And then there's the full conversation with Cole and Aiman talking about Alison.

spk_0 She's not their ruler, but

spk_0 kind of there really because of her mother.

spk_0 She's not reading though.

spk_0 She's not like,

spk_0 because she was, you know, like basically helping run things behind the scene and you know,

spk_0 her son is green.

spk_0 So she's going to be in that role.

spk_0 And then at the beginning of like the first half of the episode, we have Alison's

spk_0 spy, foot spy is what I said.

spk_0 There he is who's providing information help on like getting, like making the plan start to happen

spk_0 and everything. And then the end there's Damon and like not Raniara specifically, but Damon going

spk_0 to spies and providing like information and help for their side. And then I think that the funeral

spk_0 church scene is where like the episode kind of coincides and it brings like crossing.

spk_0 Yeah, because like all of these are like different people like the episode caps are

spk_0 Alison and Raniara. And then the episode coincides with their storylines coming together with

spk_0 Alison and Raniara. And everything in between is like their people working on their behalf or like

spk_0 working within their cause and stuff. So I don't know. That's what I noticed whenever I got

spk_0 really high and watched this. I love it. No, that's the way to do it.

spk_0 I mean, I think yeah, I guess my overall thoughts were just like it definitely made me excited

spk_0 to watch the rest of the season. I'm like, okay, I'm like fully back in now. And like my memory of

spk_0 like Game of Thrones back in the day, I feel like sometimes people would be like, oh, the first

spk_0 episode's slow. This one episode was not slow at all. There was a bunch of shit going on.

spk_0 So like, because I was thinking it might be a little more slow, like, ease us into it's like, nope,

spk_0 we're in the shit now. So I definitely think watching it that that second time, the pieces

spk_0 fell in together a lot better. And while still kind of confusing of like, I don't know what's

spk_0 happening necessarily, it still it felt like a more polished product, I guess. As opposed to

spk_0 like you're saying, how we'd always say the first episodes are a little weird. Like they got

spk_0 to check in with everybody. Right. A little bit of that. But still it's like, oh, you would have

spk_0 done this even if it's the second episode. Or I don't know the third episode. Cool. Anything else?

spk_0 I don't know. I think I'm just, yeah, I'm ready. I'm ready for the next episode now. Okay. Sure.
