spk_0 I'm Jordan Doeflot and this is sales school.
spk_0 How do you haunt us the power of negativity and flip it positive?
spk_0 How do you create that boomerang in your life?
spk_0 Well, step number one is drawing that proverbial line in the sand.
spk_0 Until you get to the point when you say it yourself, no more.
spk_0 I'm done feeling like I'm done being the victim.
spk_0 I'm done pointing the finger of blame and you look within yourself and find you.
spk_0 Find your best self to really see yourself as you are.
spk_0 Not worse than you are, but to really see yourself and connect with yourself.
spk_0 That's nothing can happen until you address that.
spk_0 Are you ready to make the changes?
spk_0 Are you ready to move forward?
spk_0 Are you ready to accept responsibility for your role whenever it went wrong?
spk_0 Whenever that may be, whatever aspect of your life it was in?
spk_0 Are you ready to expect your partner to learn from that and grow from that?
spk_0 That's one big part of it.
spk_0 The second part is possessing the actual skills for success that are required
spk_0 to leapfrog over everybody else.
spk_0 Let me just tell you the bottom freaking line here, guys.
spk_0 All right.
spk_0 Most people live average lives.
spk_0 You know why?
spk_0 Because they're fucking average.
spk_0 Because they deserve to.
spk_0 Because they chose to not invest enough in themselves.
spk_0 And they weren't born with any amazing, differentiating skill.
spk_0 And they said, okay, here's who I am.
spk_0 I'm not extraordinary.
spk_0 I don't buy into that of every human being is extraordinary.
spk_0 I think that's a load of nonsense.
spk_0 I think very few human beings are extraordinary.
spk_0 What makes human beings so amazing though,
spk_0 is you don't have to be born extraordinary.
spk_0 You can become extraordinary to share hard fucking work.
spk_0 To dedication, to learning, to absorbing knowledge,
spk_0 to practice, to repetition, to teamwork.
spk_0 You can become extraordinary.
spk_0 What does that mean?
spk_0 Well, I'm the first to learn.
spk_0 I'm not the average bear when it comes to my ability to influence and
spk_0 persuade I was born with an extreme gift.
spk_0 I just was.
spk_0 Thank you, guys.
spk_0 On nature, whatever you believe, right?
spk_0 I was born with extreme gift.
spk_0 That gift allowed me to effortlessly almost go out into the world
spk_0 and achieve things that other people couldn't achieve.
spk_0 Lead people, spread a message, devise a system,
spk_0 seriously.
spk_0 Not being cocky, I'm just being honest with you.
spk_0 Most people were not blessed with a gift like that.
spk_0 That's so extreme that people say, oh my god,
spk_0 it doesn't say anything like that's rare.
spk_0 But guess what?
spk_0 Do you know how many people I've taught this to, the gift I have?
spk_0 I've transferred the gift to millions of people.
spk_0 Many of whom do it just as well as I do it right now.
spk_0 Or maybe if they don't do it as well,
spk_0 indistinguishably as well.
spk_0 To the point where that gift I have,
spk_0 they possess it at high enough a level.
spk_0 If they can accomplish whatever they want to,
spk_0 it differentiates them.
spk_0 They're in that small class of human beings
spk_0 that can out negotiate, out influence, out persuade, out close,
spk_0 everybody around them.
spk_0 And because of that,
spk_0 it allows them to achieve more.
spk_0 And because our brain is so smart,
spk_0 and because our brain future paces everything,
spk_0 we do, when we become aware, we say, you know what?
spk_0 But I might not have been born with an extraordinary gift,
spk_0 but through sheer effort, I forged myself into a weapon
spk_0 into this apex predator for good, but I'm a predator.
spk_0 You know, I'm in the apex, I'm the top of the heap.
spk_0 Wow.
spk_0 Your brain says, you know what?
spk_0 Suddenly anything is possible.
spk_0 So my past failures,
spk_0 my past
spk_0 dependency not to take action when faced with opportunity,
spk_0 that no longer has to equal my future.
spk_0 Because I possess a skill now that differentiates me,
spk_0 that sales, that ability to close,
spk_0 but is that the only skill?
spk_0 No.
spk_0 Sometimes someone is born average,
spk_0 above average athlete, like very solid athlete,
spk_0 but they weren't like Michael Jordan,
spk_0 or even someone like Michael Jordan,
spk_0 what do you think made Michael Jordan,
spk_0 Michael Jordan, or Federer Federer?
spk_0 Yeah, amazing God-given talent,
spk_0 but they spent extraordinary amounts of time
spk_0 forging themselves into superstars.
spk_0 The only reason I don't like to use a Michael Jordan
spk_0 is, or Federer's is so extreme, it's so rare,
spk_0 but there's people like Matt Barnes,
spk_0 who was on my podcast, perfect example.
spk_0 He's a perfect example.
spk_0 Didn't have that level of a gift,
spk_0 obviously very talented athlete, physical specimen, right?
spk_0 Six foot eight, whatever.
spk_0 But he had to forge himself
spk_0 through sheer hard work and dedication
spk_0 to find his best self, his highest use,
spk_0 and became extraordinary successful and wealthy as a result of that.
spk_0 Get ready to go.
